I started shopping here about three years ago after getting burned by a few cheap chinese batteries I bought from various websites online. The best part about this place is a solid selection, and consistent quality. Batteries+ will be 10-20% more expensive than what youll find online, but if you get burned like I did by cheap batteries and crappy online return policies, the premium is well worth it. Over the past three years Ive bought a replacement iPod battery, a handful of high amp NiMH D cells for our camping equiptment, an electric toothbrush battery, an external laptop battery, a cell phone battery, and a handful of accessories. Some things are over priced, but the hard to find batteries are pretty reasonable, and all are still running over 1-2 years later. For comparison, the cheap Chinese batteries I bought online worked great for a month or so, then crapped out. The other complaint reviews about returns really dont make sense. Theyve always been very clear with me that its 2 weeks for a full refund, then after that it goes to the manufacturers warranty. Which is pretty standard for all electronics now days.

This is the second time I have had dealings with Batteries Plus, and both times have left me feeling like I have been the victim of a "Bait and Switch" game. The first time was when I had my phone repaired, I was quoted a price on-line but when I came into the store the price had suddenly gone up. This time I needed batteries for an old film camera, on-line I was offered Duracell batteries at a specific price, which I went ahead and ordered to take advantage of the on-line discount. I paid for my batteries on-line and placed my order. Soon I received a call from the store informing me that the Duracell batteries were unavailable and another brand would be substituted. I asked what brand and was told some strange brand I had never heard of. I then asked if there would be a discount, and was told no. I went ahead with the purchase since I needed the batteries right then, but was left with a bad taste over the whole incident. So far my experience with Batteries Plus has be far less than pleasant.

Just came back from Batteries and Bulbs. I went for a new key-fob battery and my girlfriend accompanied me for some scented-candle-bulbs that were burned out (I guess they melt the wax and it that makes it smell good?). Handed the guy my key-FOB and he took my keys, changed the battery and it was done within 4 minutes. The price was $10.99. Then, my girlfriend just described the bulbs and the worker knew what bulb she was talking about right off the bat and she bought 2 bulbs for her scented candles. We were in the store for 10 minutes total and the guy helping us was very friendly and quick. Another patron came in and was waiting for about 10 seconds and a guy from the back came out to see if she needed help. The customer service was flawless, the staff was knowledgeable and the best part, they knew their stuff about batteries and bulbs. Couldnt have asked for a better first experience with this company.

A young geezer friend of mine introduced me to Batteries Plus about two years ago. We have both frequented this tiny store, several times, and have never had a bad experience. Every time we have frequented this place, as soon as we have walked in weve always been IMMEDIATELY greeted by a store clerk who asks us what we need. As soon as we tell the clerk what kind of light bulb or battery (often of a type or size that is MUCH LESS common and not found in most other common brand name hardware stores) we are in need of, a store clerk has always correctly identified....and located the exact bulb or battery that we requested within a minute or two. We have always been in and out of this place -finding what we needed- literally within no more than several minutes. All clerks we have interacted with have always been very affable as well.

I lost my wall charger for an electronic device, so I called Batteries Plus Bulbs in Beaverton. Alas, they didnt a wall charger that fit that specific device. However, when I told Adam what my situation was, he immediately that they they probably had a universal charger that most likely would suffice. I went to the store and Adam was right there, ready to help. He checked out the universal charger to make sure that it would work, and I bought it at a very reasonable price. Adam added that, in case it turned out that the device wouldnt do the job, Batteries Plus had a 7-day return policy, as long as I had the receipt. These folks are really helpful. I was impressed with how many things they had stocked in their store. Definitely worth the trip.

I went to the BatteriesPlus website and found that they offer $10 off a repair when you schedule your appointment online. I scheduled my appointment and noticed it said that my iPhone screen repair would take 45 minutes or less. Sounds great. When I went in 5 minutes before the appointment time at 4:55pm I was told that they would have to keep the phone all night or I could drop it off in the morning. I asked about the 45 minute fix and the guy said their policy is if the phone is in by 12:00pm they will have it out by 6:00pm. I didnt want to leave it or come back the next day. I went around the corner to a competitor and had it done in 1 hour. Their service was not as advertised.

Good customer service, ordered online and battery was ready 15 minutes later when I arrived, right at 8pm, which was their closing time. They didnt mention it or hassle me about the fact they were trying to close, just handed me the battery and receipt. Battery did not work as advertised. Would not hold a charge. Bummer, as it cost $90. I left an e-mail message for them the next day asking if there were any solutions or a fix I wasnt considering. They did not return my e-mail the same day and have not answered it as of yet, but its only been 2 days. Still, I wouldve hoped to have heard some sort of reply by now...

I arrived at my local store to pick up a specialty battery for a unique film camera. I was welcomed immediately and informed of the queue in front of me. After a very short wait I showed the salesperson my pickup email and was served with my item in less than a minute. The battery was exactly what I ordered and worked perfectly after it was installed in the camera. I had previously purchased an auto battery there and had received the same five-star service and value then as I did this time. I highly recommend the Canyon Road store for anyone in the West Portland, Beaverton, Aloha and Tigard area.
