So about 2 weeks ago I had ordered a dining room set a bedroom set and a living room set of furniture when I received my first delivery the love seat has stains on it the sofa was actually on back order so I had to wait longer for that and they didnt put the plastic caps on the bottom of the legs on the chair or the love seat so its scratched up my hardwood floors when they put together my dining room table they drilled screws through the top of the table so the screws were popping out they didnt then attach the mirror to my dresser but first they took care of me that I said they redeliver everything theyre going to take money off my account to for the inconvenience and the warehouse manager was going to write me a check for the damages thats all good and all but then came the second delivery the second delivery day brought everything back and the delivery drivers were ahead of schedule so they started rushing everything well they didnt bring in my furniture the way I had asked them to so a result of that is they ripped my leather sofa I had been waiting an extra week for because its on backorder and they scratch my love seat and they damage my plaster walls now this time theyre not being so nice wanting to do anything for me so they have definitely lost my business I would definitely not recommend them for anybody because of how bad the management has been corporate really hasnt done anything for me to help theyre just not people to work with to get things resolved terrible customer service the guy that sold me the furniture was absolutely excellent but everything else to deliver the management customer service besides the seller was terrible I do not recommend them to anyone they will never get another dollar from me again

We stopped buying furniture from Value City since last couple of years because of cheap Sales tactics. In general, the salespeople here work with customers of the same ethnicities / races. Our most recent experience was last week when we were looking to buy bedroom set. The sales person, Venay Kumar, approached us and we told him that we would let him know if we had questions. We noticed that he was constantly following us wherever we went which was pretty annoying. It was probably because he feared someone else might make commission out of our purchase, he even told us that once, which was pretty unprofessional. At one point we asked Venay Kumar about a bedroom set. His response was very stereotypical where he approached my wife and talked about how much work it would be for her to clean the piece of that furniture and that it is not an issue for the husband. It was very surprising to me that the guy who probably spent 20-25 years in sales did not have such a common sense, respect for women, education and values which are essential to be a good person first, then a sales man. Mr. Venay Kumar even got more defensive when I asked him a simple question about bed slats. In a confrontational style he started telling us how knowledgeable he was about the slats, box springs, etc. while he couldn’t understand my simple question nor could he provide a polite response. We ended up buying a complete bedroom set somewhere else paying more money. Customer service is always the first than price or quality of furniture. Very disappointed in Value City. I hope they train their employees to be more customer focused than racial targeting.

We purchased a sofa about 11 months ago. The sofa broke and we called for service. I gave the rep my new address and phone number and she said it would be 1 week and I will be called 2 days before delivery. No call, so I call 1 day before and they say they tried to call but my number was bad. I give them my new number and address again. Day for service and nobody comes. Call the store and they say driver couldnt find and my number is bad. Ridiculous. Manager is no help and says basically Im out of luck, they will be there next week, will be called 2 days before. Here we are 2 days before and no call. Called the store and was told no appointment was made, but she can fit me in. Well thanks for all the help, youre awesome, You did me a huge favor. What can I do for you for providing me so much help. Oh wait, what time will they be here, oh you cant tell me,gotcha. Can I speak with manager? Oh he is too busy for me. Stellar service and wonderful product to break already. I sort of think they are trying to extend it over a month so they can claim it isnt covered. Furniture row or hell, maybe big lots from here on out. This place is a joke!!!

These people are bunch of thieves, criminals. Bad, lying mis-leading sales rep/customer services, their products is nothing but a worthless junk. I bought a couch, bed, mattress, and a wardrobe from them, after 2yrs of normal usage every single one of their equipment has fault in them. The bed squeaks, the drawers have fallen apart, and the couch is peeling off/cracking. I called their warranty place, and all of the sudden the warranty has changed, somehow my couch is no longer a real leather any more hence we won cover the damage, mind you that they told me this was a real leather. I going to the store this is just ridiculous. If you manage to read this review before shopping there, i will advise you to not even touch this store with a stick. Stay away!!!

BEWARE!!! DO NOT EVER BUY YOUR FURNITURE HERE. THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!! My Furniture came in the most disgusting condition. There were marks on my sofa, the sofa was not even wrapped in plastic. There was dust all over my sofa and the dust on the TV stand was so thick it was white. The TV stand was rickety. I called Value Citys customer service and voiced my concerns and they didnt give me any options or even apologize. They told me they would have a service guy come out and clean my sofa stains. Why would new furniture have stains on it in the first place?? The customer service was HORRIBLE! When they came to pick up my furniture they were 45 minutes late!!! Ridiculous place!! Terrible Terrible terrible!!! DO NOT Shop here.

Horrible Service.. BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased a bedroom set in Feb 08, paid in full, and the saleperson told me that all I needed to do was call the store 5 days before my desired delivery date and they will deliver the set (I paid for delivery). Well I call more than 2 weeks in advance to set up delivery and they tell me that the bedroom set is out of stock until May 16, 2008. Im moving into my first new home next weekend (March 22,2008) and will be 7 months pregnant and bedless!! Needless to say I called the store manager and he is pretty much telling me there is nothing he can do. I can come pick something else out or cancel the order!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.

Do not buy from here! We ordered a complete bedroom suit in February! WE STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED OUR FURNITURE! Now guess what credit company wants a payment after we were told by the salesman that we wwouldnt have to pay after we received the furniture. Not the case at all. Now we are told it will be May 26 for the next shipment time. 3 times this has been told to us! Lies! Spoke to the manager thinking he would try to accommodate us for our issue and I was told he could take off the delivery fee. NOT HAPENNING. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS HERE. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR TO GET THE SALE. SO PISSED!!!
