I made a $3,000+ appliance purchase and it has been a NIGHTMARE! Some highlights: Qualified for 10% credit but had to sigh up for a Best Buy credit card which I did reluctantly. They entered the WRONG social security number and got someone others credit report... wow! Now, to correct it was very time consuming. Just made an online purchase to use up the credit balance around $300 only to find out the credit (they call certificates) do NOT qualify for online and only in store purchases. (Can find that info nowhere, nor was I told I had to use only in store.) Now, for the BIGGEST of the NIGHTMARE: The delivery and INSTALLATIONS were at best shody and required THREE return visits and still not 100% right but I want no one back. All but one of the delivery personnel were marginally competent and some were rude. You get hung up in a 4 hour window for delivery and they do not follow there own rules for notification. Without timeline details, the microwave installation left a bracket showing after install that had an improper hole drilled through newly installed backsplash... return to fix. Dishwasher pushed into place with foam covering left out and shoved in with a screwdriver. A range that was installed pretty good except to find later the drawer would not go in even which I think I have fixed. And, the refrigerator... three trips to level, level doors and that follows an initial rude delivery person as the refrigerator is a tight fit and I did not get an advanced call so I could empty the old refrigerator. Oh, and by the way, they were in the driveway of the wrong house and called telling me they were in my driveway and to get to the door and let them in." Each of these incidents were MAJOR TIME CONSUMING as I initially got a run around, put on hold, transferred and ignored. My suggestion: If pricing is close elsewhere it may be a good move to give them a try. BEST BUY... NO!!!! They need to do an UNDERCOVER BOSS episode. NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE and I am afraid it is not over as I try to get my online purchase credited against my Best Buy certificates. Folks... just worn out. Poor disclosure, shabby competency, and questionable skilled personnel.

I purchased a 32" RCA TV on 9/14/09 with the PSP extended warranty. At the end of July my TV needed service so I called it in. I Geek Squad Member came to the house a stated the TV did need repaired and he would ored the part. Later that week he called and said RCA did not sale parts for that tv and it would be replaced. Then i was told to contact RCA. Even though the Best buy service plan should cover this repair. So after contacting RCA a dozen times for a week and the issue not being resolved I then contacted best buy back and they said they called and gave RCA all information and all i had to do was call and give them my number and everything would be taken care of. I called RCA fo 2 days straight and finally got in touch with them and they said they had no such information. So i contacted best buy back and spoke with Elizabeth in corporate and she stated she would make sure this gets taken care of and I would get a replacement and not have to go through RCA because I have the PSP. Someone then finally called me today and left me a confirmation number on my voicemail stating they would exchange my TV for a new one at a store today. When I got home I called the Mentor Ohio store and gave the the information off my voicemail. I called the store and they looked it up. They said yes it was in the system and I could bring the TV in and they would replace it with the same model if not the newer model. I asked do I have to pay anything out of pocket and they stated NO. So I unmounted the set from the stand and drove to the store. Agian I have a PSP which is in home service and they said i would never have to carry the tv to the store. When i get there the would not replace the tv for a compariable one. Istead they offered me store credit. I have been lied to, ran around and stressed out for over a month. I have a heart condition and do not have time for all this stress. I did not give them the run around when I purchased the TV and PSP. This is by far the worst cusstomer experience I have ever had in my entire life. And now I have to carry my tv back in the house and my issue is still not resolved.

The worst customer service I have ever had! I called and got Becca at Geek Squad. I asked about repairing a jammed key on my mouse pad and then she said we can ship your Laptop out and charge you thirty nine dollars. In response, I said, "so there is no certainty it will be repaired? Your just going to ship it, so I could be paying thirty nine dollars for nothing." Becca responded, yes! I proceeded to explain how in the past I had brought in my computer and had it inspected and assessed for repair and been giving a price quote and she insisted I was mistaken. She then put me on hold and ultimately nobody answered the phone after five to ten minutes. I called back and spoke to Jamie at the store explaining what happened. She explained to me the procedure would cost around $150 dollars or so but agreed to transfer me to geek squad to be sure. Upon the transfer I waited for five more minutes when the phone was picked up by a man who breathed heavily on the phone. I said hello four times and said I had a question, but he slammed the phone down and hung up on me. I have one word to describe the customer service at Best Buy. Disrecpectful. There is no excuse for the kind of customer service they provide people. Honestly service is way better at movie theaters and fast food joints. Bottom line, I wont be shopping there anytime soon until it changes!

Why cant I give 0/5 stars? I was there yesterday for 2 hours and again tonight for 30 minutes. They had a deal where you can upgrade your phone and trade in the old one for $200 toward the new phone. I was blown off numerous times by high schoolers that dont know the first thing about cell phones. They always state that theyre not on commission which could make some more comfortable but not me. I want to deal with people who have to earn their paychecks. If that were the case, maybe 1 or 2 of these folks would even have a job. Not to mention, yesterday, one of the guys I was dealing with disappeared and went home without finishing his job. Lastly, the useless manager, Dave, wouldnt allow us to walk away from the department to talk. Hes most likely afraid of the truth and he just spewed out the same typical heartless "sorry to hear that" garbage trying to smooth it over. All of my electronics are bought from Best Buy but I will never visit that one again. Theres a reason theyre working retail for minimum wage. Im no better than anyone but I expect some expertise in an area that someone is making money off of. Its a joke. Stay away and find somewhere else. If it werent for a minimum 1 star rating, this location would average well under 2 stars. Pathetic.
