The owner, Christ Charnas, threatened me, was rude, ignorant and failed to understand the basics of business and customer service. I dont know whether his behavior is due to ageism, racism or sexism, however in my opinion, this was wholly inappropriate behavior. It seems quite telling of a persons character when he physically threatens you with "if you know whats good for you, youll leave right now..." I went to the store with the intent of getting my current bike sized and looking to purchase a new bike - they have an extensive selection, which is what initially attracted me to their store. When I asked whether he provided any discounts when buying a group of items, helmet, shoes, cleats, etc. I was condescending yelled at and told that "prices are set by manufacturers and theres nothing that we can do here about it. If we were to start lowering our prices, we would go out of business. You clearly know nothing of business or how pricing works." When I asked if this is the type of customer service that he provides every one and that I held an MBA, I was repeatedly yelled at, in a condescending manner, informed that my MBA meant nothing and I knew nothing of the bike industry and nothing of the basics of business. Even more curious, he stated that his pricing was set by the MSRP yet questioned whether I understood how businesses price their products. This type of rude customer service, as well as their poor BBB rating, inability to properly answer e-mail requests exhibit an organization that should be avoided at all costs.

The items in the store are a cyclists dream, but the two owners, a man and a woman, are consistently 4-holes. The non-owner employees are nice and sometimes look surprised by the comments they are witnessing by the owners. I go there every few years and swear "never again." Then I start to think "it cant be as bad I remember." But it is. Its been a few years, and the cycle repeated ... and after another nasty experience in there recently, I thought Id check what other people are saying, and give my feedback too. Someone really needs to wear a body cam in there. If you want to do well at Tri-tech, act dumb, worship the owners, dont ask any questions, keep repeating that "anything they sell must be perfect, if they dont sell it it must be junk." Then pay the man. Otherwise, be prepared to get some condescending, abrasive, asinine comments. Sheeple are fine with this, but I cant stand it. Dont belittle me or insult me for asking a perfectly valid question. If the owners hate people, why dont they sell the store, or have an employee work the counter and just stay away from the customers. I dont think I have ever seen such rudeness in any other store anywhere. Truly astounding.

I stopped by this shop as I was preparing for my first triathlon, and had heard that they specialized in triathlon bicycles and gear. At first, I was super intimidated to go in because it looked like some very fancy bikes were in the window, but when I went in, I was greeted right away and asked all about my interests. I never felt like my questions were dumb (even though they probably were!) The people who helped me (the owner) were very helpful and never overwhelming. I was encouraged to hear that my old bike was perfect for starting to do triathlons - even though I am sure that a new one is better; I am just going to get it checked out to make sure everything works OK. I was also able to find the right clothing and some goggles. I think that the shop employees and the service were really terrific.

Ive been going to Tri-Tech Multisport in Columbus, OH for over a year now and have always had great service by people that have great knowledge of not only bikes, which on mine they have done a fine job. But they also have extensive knowledge of the sport of triathlon. More recently they helped me when I was in a real tight spot. I was in need of a new chain ring and even though they didnt have one in stock, they were very capable of getting one ordered. I however needed the part sooner than I could wait for it to come in. When I was able to get the chain ring from another shop who was unable to put it on my bike, Tri-Tech was more than happy to do it on the spot for me since they new my predicament. Very, very awesome. Love this place.

Over the years I have purchased three bikes and numerous other triathlon gear from Christ and Leanne Charnas (owners of Tri-Tech) and these folks run a top-notch operation. The folks at Tri-Tech have one main priority - customer service, and it shows!!! My most recent purchase was a Scott Sub 30 (hybrid) that I purchased for riding rails-to-trails and around town, and love it! The folks at Tri-Tech have made my experience in triathlon and around town cycling as wonderful as I could ever have hoped for. Thank you to Christ, Leanne, and everyone who works to make Tri-Tech the best it can be!!!

I bought my first bike from Tri-Tech about 7 years ago and my second one last week. They have always provided me great service ... even when all I needed was a question answered. I went thru the fitting process for my first bike and was very happy with the way both of my bike fit. Everyone I have worked with in the store has been professional and I have benefited from their knowledge of their products and the sport. (I also really appreciate their continued support of local triathlons ...) Loved my Tri-Tech bike buying experience.

I found them via a recommendation from a friend - and Im very pleased with their performance so far. Chris is very knowledgeable, learned, experienced in every aspect of Triathlon - from the gear, to the bike, to the mental training. Beyond their shop, they give to the community by supporting local races and helping out triathletes in need during events - a great team! Also, do yourself a favor and get a bike fitting - its the best way to find a bike and they apply part of the fee to the cost of the purchase!

Tri-Tech Multisport is helping me put together a road/tri version of the Cervelo P3 that Fabian Cancellaro used to win the 2007 Tour De France Prologue in London. Everyone is very nice. They have some mouth watering bikes for sale. Some really beautiful bikes. It is like going to a Ferrari dealership, but you are on a bicycle budget! I bought my bike used on e-bay, but they treat me as well as if I had bought from them. Good selection of bike shoes and cleats. Service is fast, efficient and friendly.

I have visited Tri-Tech on 3 separate occasions and called the store once, in an attempt to spend my money locally. Each time I have spoken with Christ, and each time I have ended the conversation swearing I would never spend my money there. He has finally convinced me - I will either find a new bike store or just buy online. In fairness, I have heard that his wife is much easier to deal with, unfortunately she has never been there when I was.
