I dont even know where to begin to describe how incredible Amanda and her store are. So, I will start at the beginning: I am the worst bride ever. I have never been the little girl dreaming of her perfect picturesque wedding. I have never dreamt of my perfect white dress. As a matter of fact, I think getting marriage is a wonderful thing, but Ive always thought you could be "married" without ever getting MARRIED. Alas, Northern Jersey girl meets Eastern Kentucky boy and all bets are off and now Im getting MARRIED. All I really care about is the food and wine, and oh yeah, Id like to look nice too. But wedding dress shopping?!?! All I have are images of SJP circa SATC breaking out into hives in the dressing room. No thank you. But, as Ive learned over this whole process, you cant die on every hill and half the time its NOT about you. So fine, but after going to a few "bridal boutiques", I was ready to order dresses on line and try them on in the comfort of my own home. I was frustrated with jaded middle aged women telling me to "show off my figure" and act as though it was ridiculous that I wanted a dress 3 months. Didnt I know that I should have bought my dress 9 months ago?! Then in the dry desert of organza, tulle, and chiffon, appeared an oasis: Amandas Hyde Park Bridal. There was even a sign that said "Welcome Jennifer!" As we entered bridal heaven, an angel (Amanda) greeted us and offered us champagne. I could feel the tension in my neck dissipate and my teeth un-clench. The next two hours were a blur. I tried on beautiful dress after beautiful dress. We drank. We laughed. We swapped stories. We made fun of each other. We had selected a few dresses, Amanda had selected a few. She carefully dressed me in each, but never made me feel self conscious or awkward. She willingly switched belts, head pieces, veils, and acted as though it was no trouble to her at all. But ladies, let me tell you, this woman is SMART. So smart. She saved the best for last. My friend had picked out a dress "for fun" but Amanda knew better. It was the last one she had me try on and it was THE ONE. I know, I know -- reread my first two paragraphs. I am not that girl. I scoff at people who talk about "falling in love" with THE dress. But let me tell you, I looked in the mirror and it was love at first sight. And Amanda knew it all along. Me, being me, I refused to believe it. So, we cycled through my top choices again. Amanda knew better, but she played along. And she was so sweet about it - never acting annoyed or stopping to remind me of the time. Not until I stepped into THE ONE again and waited for her to dress me, did she say that nothing would compare to this one. And I stepped out on the floor and she was right. There are so many other positive attributes to Amanda and this store that I could go on and on. She gave me a discount when I showed concern about the price. She told me we would rush it but that even if we couldnt, wed make it work somehow. She worked tirelessly to make sure I saw the beautiful attributes in each and every dress. The interior decorating is lovely. But what I am most appreciative for is her ability to show me how to be a bride. Its easy to get dragged down by the weight of flowers and tablecloths and guest lists and crumble under the pressure of the perfect photo, the perfect vows, the perfect kiss, the perfect night. But underneath all of that is this beautiful thing called love and the celebration of that love: marriage. And like love, wedding planning isnt always fun. But every once in a while, someone changes your perspective and shows you that it can be fun and exciting. And then you have no choice but to revel in it. Thank you, Amanda, for being that someone.

I visited Hyde Park Bridal on 6/3/17 to just look at a trunk show for Hayley Paige. The boutique was to receive a special allotment of newly released fall 2017 gowns for that weekend only and I found a dress I adored! I messaged Amanda two different times asking if they had received the gown I was in love with and she always gave me notice of when to check back to see if they had it in. She even emailed me the day the dress arrived to let me know for sure it would be in stock for me on 6/3! Nothing compares to the service I received on this day. The front door had a welcome sign with my name on it, I was greeted and offered champagne with my family and friends, and Madison was incredible at pulling dresses for me to try on! I ended up purchasing a gown that she chose for me instead of the one I had my heart set on prior to coming in! Amanda and her staff complimented me on every dress I tried on, but ultimately helped me choose THE dress. Their remarks were genuine and you could tell they truly wanted to provide feedback as to what looked best on my body. I was made to feel comfortable the entire time and the transaction process was flawless. She wanted me to have a great experience, rather than just sell a dress. I cannot thank the staff at Hyde Park Bridal enough for all of their help! I cannot wait to return back to the shop to pick up my dress when it arrives! Ellie

What an amazing experience! I felt like royalty before I even stepped foot inside. Between the incredible communication prior to the appointment and the custom welcome sign waiting for me at the main entrance, I knew I had chosen the right place. I had the pleasure of working with both Amanda and her mom and they were a true joy to work with. I felt like they both really understood me and my vision but also were not afraid to push me outside of my comfort zone which is exactly what I needed. They were both incredibly patient and really took the time to make sure my experience was nothing short of perfect. And they outdid themselves! Not only did I find the most unbelievable gown for my wedding day but I left with memories of time spent with my mom, future mother in law and sisters that will last a lifetime. In fact, I loved it so much that I went back two more times to get all of my accessories. And EVERY time Amanda made me feel as special as I did on my very first visit. I truly cannot say enough about Amanda, the store environment and the overall experience.

THIS IS HOW EVERY BRIDE SHOULD FEEL! I drove all the way from Columbus to find my perfect dress and it was definitely worth the drive. I walked in to my name on a sign outside welcoming me and a smile from Amanda. The store was open to only me and my friend which made my experience that much more special. Amanda listened to my needs and hit the nail right on the head with the selection of dresses. This was the best bridal experience I have had so far. Amanda and her mother took their time with me to ensure that I found the perfect dress. They offered constructive feedback when needed in helping me to choose my dress. Amanda really places a high value on how a bride should be treated and she far surpassed my expectations. So far my wedding experience is off to a great start.
