I went to Joan Pillow because I thought she was the Best in Buckhead and I have never been MORE DISAPPOINTED. I bought my daughters Anna Maier wedding gown at Joan Pillow. Joan Pillow and her staff told us it would arrive needing minor alterations because it had been custom made to my daughters measurements. When it arrived, my daughter tried it on and the staff told us the flaw could be ironed out. When we had our first fitting, Joan Pillows seamstress said she could not repair the flaw, it would not iron out. My daughter then met with Charles, the NY designer, who repined the flaw and sent it back to NY. When it came back, it still had the same flaw. We took it to another seamstress in Atlanta who said she could not repair it, that it was made wrong. The dress went back to the NY designer for a 2nd time, only to come back with the same flaw. By this time, it was ONE MONTH before the wedding. Joan Pillow should have offered us a new dress if she could not have gotten it repaired correctly. She told me to my face that it hadnt been repaired and that my daughter wouldnt be happy with it. But she didnt do that. Because we were desperate with only 30 days to go, we swapped our original dress for the sample dress in the store and tried to have it altered. It was a size 8, my daughter is a size 2 or 4. It could never be made small enough to be comfortable. I had to buy a second dress and this happened on a Saturday 1 week before the wedding. Please, all Mothers and Brides - be careful dealing with Joan Pillow. If something goes wrong, as it did in our situation, she is not a nice person and did not stand by her product or her reputation. She is very arrogant and until I told her not one person had ever told me they were sorry about this situation, did she ever apologize. Do not let them tell you cant have your first fitting until 60 days from the wedding. That is what she told us, and at 60 days, Joans own seamstress told us she cannot repair the flaw. I have never been as shocked as when Torie, who works in the Buckhead store, told us, after the dress had gone to NY for repair and come back with the same flaw, "it really doesnt look that bad." Im sure thats the way every Bride wants to feel on her wedding day in her special dress - "not that bad." She gave us a belt to hide the "flaw" and $500 to have the sample dress altered and cleaned. The $500 was no where near enough for the major alterations the sample dress needed, much less the dry cleaning. Joan Pillow feels like those 2 things should have made up for her not delivering the wedding gown she promised us. I just dont want anyone else to have a situation like ours. It was AWFUL! I wouldnt have picked one star even but I had to pick one to be able to post my review! Mary Jo McCalley Joan Pillow should have given us a new dress - she should have demanded this from the NY designer - a custom made dress that has a flaw and cannot be repaired by the NY designer two times is not acceptable. Even Joan Pillows seamstress said the dress was not made correctly and she could not fix it. Even Joan Pillow said to me, "NY did not repair the dress, Catherine will not be happy." The 10% trunk show discount was given to anyone that day who purchased an Anna Maier dress, the $400 belt was "given" to us by the staff to hide the flaw, it was her staffs suggestion- not ours, and $500 for cleaning and alterations was not enough to cover cleaning and alterations of the sample dress. Its like a man ordering a custom made suit, it comes in wrong, it cannot be fixed. Would he be happy walking away with a used, different color suit in the wrong size and $500 check to get it altered? Joan Pillow put the burden on us to have a dirty, wrong size, used sample wedding dress altered when she should have furnished us with a new dress that was made correctly as she originally promised. Of course I have the sample dress - I paid $3888 for a wedding dress - would she expect me to have no dress for that amount of money?

If I could give Joan Pillow more than 5 stars I would! I want to let everyone know how beyond WONDERFUL my experience was at Joan Pillow. After walking out of two Atlanta bridal salons extremely disappointed, we called Joan Pillow and were able to get a last minute appointment. The store is gorgeous, the dresses are beautiful and the ladies at Joan Pillow were AMAZING. Campbell made the experience everything I had dreamed of. She made finding the perfect dress and veil so easy! I am so grateful to her and will highly recommend Campbell and Joan Pillow to all the brides I know Thanks again Joan Pillow!

Campbell was amazing! My sister and I stopped here first and looked together. We have totally different styles and Campbell was perfect! Mary Monday was as sweet as pie too! They made us feel warm and not in any way overbearing. The dresses were beautiful and just enough variety to please both my sister and I. This was an amazing first experience for us both!!!!!! Please ask for Campbell ;)

Great experience here! The only bridal shop that has actually stuck to their appt. time AND given full attention. Allie was overly helpful and very knowledgeable about the designers and fits. I had a wonderful time here and would strongly recommend it over every other shop Ive been to so far.
