Let me start by saying the Aaliyah dress was absolutely everything to me! It was more that I could have ever expected and went perfect with my vintage glam theme!! I moved to Atlanta in January, 2013. Prior to moving from Little Rock, AR I had been engaged for a little over 6 months and had not tried on a single wedding dress. I was in Atlanta for about a week when I saw a billboard in Marietta about a bridal show. I figured since our wedding was in September, 2013 and I had not done anything but book the venue, it was time to get things in order i.e. get a dress. Even though our wedding wasnt in Atlanta, my fiancé and I went to check it out so I could get wedding ideas. We had been there about an hour or so and I didnt see anything that jumped out at me. As we were walking out, I see the Winnie Couture booth. I was drawn to it because of "Couture" in the name :-) I knew I did not want a traditional dress and also knew this store would be different that the usual...I was absolutely right. I immediately got goose bumps looking at the 6-8 dresses Winnie had displayed. I saw the Aaliyah dress and since my fiancé was with me I tried to keep my excitement to myself, while thinking, "yep that is my dress." Without knowing the price or trying it on, I just had that feeling. The staff was very friendly and I booked my appointment to come in and try on. My appointment was a few days after the bridal show and Winer was my sales associate. She was the sweetest person ever and made the experience even more enjoyable since I was by myself. I admittedly asked about the dress that I feel in love with at the bridal show. I showed her a picture of it and she took me right to it. I tried on about 10 dresses total (Aaliyah of course being the first) and out of those I loved over half of them. I went back to the original dress, but now I was faced with the dilemma of convincing my mom to purchase since it was over budget. Although, she was coming into town the next week (to help me look for dresses), I wanted to prep her and let her know we didnt have to look far, because I found it. I was informed I received a discount because I booked my appointment at the bridal show, so this made the convincing easier. I made a follow-up appointment for the next week so my mom could meet my new dress :) when she saw it, she too feel in love with it. I also tried on my top 4 choices, but of course went back to the first...and said, YES TO THE DRESS!!! The only change we did other than hemming, was a modified sweetheart instead of the original sweetheart which was a little too low cut for me. The moment of truth came when Winer called to let me know my dress was in. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I tried it on for the first time with all alternations completed :) It was even prettier than I imaged!!!!!! September 7, 2013 came very quick!! Once I had hair/make done and I slipped on my dress...it was a moment that Id waited for!! My husband was in LOVE with the dress!!! I received more compliments than you would ever think! The experience I had with Winnie Couture was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I cant thank Winer enough for everything!! Ive sent some pictures, but as soon as I get the professional pictures from the photographer of my bridal shoot, Ill send some more. Hopefully Aaliyah and I can be feature in your store :-)

Do not go this store if you are interested in good service (which is half of what they offer and a cornerstone for wedding vendors. Short story - fiance bought a $3,000 dress and wanted to make it unique. The salesperson supported her vision and sold her the dress and the extra lace to make it happen. She also assured her that it was not a problem and that it would turn out as she anticipated. Dress comes in from China with extra lace and the lace does not match the dress. Winnie Couture, however, says that the lace the salesperson ordered was the correct lace and they couldnt explain why it looked different (maybe it had something to do with the salesperson telling her that lace on the floor samples is worn and discolored from being handled and that my fiances lace would not look like the floor sample - which it did). So now we have to pay Winnie Coutures preferred tailor to replace all of the lace on the dress to match the (wrong) additional lace they ordered. They will not, however, own the mistakes of their salesperson (who is no longer there) and refuse to make the situation that they created right. They are blaming the additional cost on the tailor (who they recommended and who is fixing Winnie Coutures mistake) and say that "because it is a tailoring cost and not a Winnie Couture expense, their store policy is to not pay for it." (Or, in short, their store policy is to screw their customer who gave them $3,000 for a dress that probably cost a few hundred to make in China and then force said customer to pay another $500 or so to be able to actually use that dress based on the misrepresentations made by their employees). To their credit, they did "contrary to their policy" refund the cost of the extra lace (a measly $60 a roll). So, unless you plan on having additional weddings, I would recommend that you steer clear of this place because they dont care whether you have a good experience or not. Once they have your money, thats it. Theyre not a value shop and they dont sell anything that the numerous other stores in Atlanta dont, so dont take your chances with this place. Or, if you are interested in crying about a dress, or seeing your significant other cry about a dress, then go ahead and take your chances.

It doesnt get much better than this - I dont know quite where to begin. From the moment I stepped into this Winnie Couture gorgeous store (conveniently located in Buckhead on Peachtree), the experience of finding my wedding dress was a true delight. The store itself is gorgeous, with dresses hung by silhouettes (but not in a cluttered way, like in many other stores), accessories on the different display cases (truly gorgeous and classy ones, none of the tacky tiaras youll find in other stores), and four personal dressing rooms. The variety of dresses was impressive, and even more impressive was the level of taste and class. The woman helping us, Winer, is one of a kind. She truly knows her stuff, picking out gowns that I never in a million years would have tried on, but which I ended up really liking once I had on. She understood our budget and didnt try to push more expensive stuff on me, and seemed sincerely interested in helping my find a dress in which I would feel beautiful. As a comparison, I went to Bridal by Loris right after going to this store, and the quality of service didnt come close. Of course the dresses there were okay, price range is about the same. Also, the woman helping me didnt seem all that interested in making sure that I found a dress I loved, but rather just getting me in and out. With that said, I ran back to Winnie and made my purchase in tears. Im so happy that I found my dress at such an incredible place with such kind, caring people helping me. If that isnt service, I dont know what is. Go there, go there, go there.
