Absolutely the worst shopping experience ever. I would never return to this store. The salesperson working the day I visited was completely rude, condescending and abruptly stopped me from visiting the upstairs showroom. She was very hostile, awkward, and made for a very uncomfortable experience. A word on their dresses. It looks like a high end store but the dresses are very cheaply made, and from low end dress manufacturers. They have primarily Jovani and dress makers of that level. That is definitely the low end of the market. Some background on me - I am very experienced in buying formal wear. I have many of these events to attend. And although I has several dresses to choose from at home it is always nice to get a new one. I primarily shop in NYC, but I have always passed this place and thought it would be nice to see what they have. I typically buy designer dresses like Escada, Del la Renta, Posen. ML, depending on the event. I visited the store in the late afternoon. No other customers where in the store. I walked in and was greeted by a sales woman. She asked what I was looking for and I explained that I had a gala event for my husbands company. I also explained that I had several dresses but thought if I saw something I liked I would buy it. She asked my size I told her I could be anything from a 0 to a 4. She literally looked me up and down, which I thought was rude, but tolerable, and told me the dresses run small. I understand why she did it, and I do know that about formal dresses so I forgave the rudeness and started looking around. So as I was looking, another sales woman came into the store. A woman who was badly dressed, with terrible make up, unkept hair and a unfriendly disposition. Certainly not ideal for a clothing salesperson. And this is where it got very bad. She asked me my size. I told her. I had already looked through the size 4s, and was heading over to their sale rack to see if maybe I liked something there. She very nastily says "Oh well thats the sales rack" and walks away from me. I started walking towards the elevator, through the bridal section, to look at the dresses upstairs as the original saleswoman suggested before she disappeared. So as I was walking through the showroom the nasty saleswoman tells me, "Oh those are wedding dresses" And I replied to her Yes obviously, I was going to look upstairs. Should I take the elevator or are there stairs. She tells me that since she is alone I cannot go upstairs to shop. And that she is sorry. Even though I knew the other salesperson was there. Just like that, completely rude, and awkward. She told me that if I waited maybe she could get someone to escort me upstairs. At that point I told her that I did not see anything I liked anyway, not to bother. But it was a terrible experience in this store. The second sales woman was so unfriendly, not helpful, and made me very uncomfortable with her rudeness, and awkward behavior. I would never shop in this store again.

I had been aggressively searching for my Mother of the Groom dress and not having much luck. Being 61", there arent a lot of options for someone as tall as I am. Growing up and having proms to attend, I always had to have my dresses made because buying something at a store, length was never an option, so I felt like having something pretty wasnt easy. Now that I am having a son getting married, those concerns popped up again - "Will I be able to find anything pretty that will be long enough?" I was in the bridal district in Cincinnati to pick up my future daughter-in-laws bridal gown in one of the stores that only sells bridal gowns. The sales lady asked me if I had purchased my mothers gown yet and I told her I had not, I wasnt having any luck. She immediately referred me to Kotsovos. She told me that I would love it there and that I would be able to find a dress with extra length. I took a day in early April and traveled from Indiana and went. I couldnt believe it!! I was immediately greeted when I got there by the owner and he was so nice. He asked me if he could help me and I told him my dilemma about length in gowns. He took me upstairs where I was introduced to Tina. I showed her a gown online that I was interested in and she right away called the company to inquire if extra length would be possible for this particular gown - and it was!!! You do not know how thrilled I was. Tina went on to have me try on a similar gown from the same designer to check the fit and size; she then measured me and my gown was ordered. My daughter was with me, and we also got to meet Mrs. Kotsovo. She was so nice and friendly!! I just spoke to Tina to inquire about the status of my delivery, and she said it was due to be shipped on July 31st. She also suggested to me that since I am coming from Indiana, that it would be good for me to come down on a day that the seamstress would be there to see if any alterations would be needed. The customer service has been amazing and very personal. I am looking forward to that day and when it is all said and done, I may be posting another comment.

Forget about the Bridal District and Davids Bridal, COME HERE FIRST! Much better customer service and you definitely get the feel of a family-run business. Sandra was amazing, sat down and talked to me for about 10 minutes to really understand the whole "feel" of the wedding and get ideas of what I wanted. She guided me to find the best style wedding gown for my body (plus size), kept my selections in my price range, and my mother and I liked every single gown I tried on. What I really appreciated, was that I was the only bride-to-be trying on gowns, I felt that my consultant had 110% of her focus on me. At one store I had been to, I was one of 6 brides trying on dresses, and I almost felt like I was looking around to check out what the other brides looked like and not focusing on the reason why I was there. At another store my consultant had two brides to work with, and my sisters helped me get in/out of all my dresses. SUPERIOR SERVICE AT KOTSOVOS! Not only was Sandra extremely attentive, she also spent time getting to know me as well. Once I narrowed it down to THE DRESS, Sandra went up to get some champagne for us and the owner came to me and helped me get my dress back on. They encourage you to sit in the dress, with all the accessories on, sip your celebratory champagne and just enjoy the moment! The entire staff was wonderful and even helped take pictures of the gowns I tried on. I went in to the store, thinking that all the dresses would be out of my price range, however, I found that I had 10 times as many options than I did at the bridal district. With a plus-size body, I wasnt expecting this. I got my dress cheaper there, than the one I liked at Wendys. The shop was well lit, not dark at all, like at other places we had been. Sandra also gave me ideas on what to look for in bridesmaid dresses and ideas for my non-traditional wedding. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND KOTSOVOS FOR ALL YOUR BRIDAL NEEDS!
