As soon as you enter this store, prepare to be ignored by all employees. Not that there are many, because if its like a usual night for this Trade-It! there will only be one awkward, shuffling attendant. You will, however, be greeting by an incredibly overpowering smell of sweat. Without exaggeration, the entire store reeks of sweat. It is an amazingly disgusting welcome. As you move about the store, trying to ignore the heavy smell of body odor, the lone attendant will maintain his firm stance of staring at the used cameras. Is he a fan of photography? An aspiring Ansel Adams? Its possible, but with his creepy, glassy, red eyes, he might just be stoned out of his mind! That might explain his actions, because behind him a line has been forming at the check-out, and he hasnt seemed to notice. The people standing in line sure arent happy though, and theres one hunch-backed fellow that stares very intensely at the attendants back. Surely someone will step up to help though. Maybe it will be the woman who has been pacing back and forth between the Playstations and the power tools, ignoring the items and staring ahead the whole time. Or maybe it will be the man touching himself as he mumbles over a used copy of The Warriors. Or perhaps it will be the jittery woman whos been going around asking other customers about "shipments." You can bet it will be her! Surely someone versed in the import-export business will know how to take charge. She better take a vacation though, because based on the way shes shaking she may really need a day off! You take a deep and calming breath, knowing someone will take charge, and are quickly reminded that the store still smells youve stuffed your face into a laundry bin full of used gym towels.

Trade it! operates like a pawn shop, they sell used consumer, home and auto goods. Ive found that as a buyer they offer surprising value. They do a better job of inspecting items and not selling junk than pawn stores and they offer a better warranty. One thing I like about them is that they sell at prices competitive to online vendors but for some items they offer an additional two year warranty at a better rate than a Square Trade warranty on a new item. So you are essentially paying half the money for exactly the same item and coverage. For example, amazon was selling a camera for about $220 used with no warranty. Trade it! listed it for $180 and offered a $40 two year warranty. So for the same money they are warranting it for two years. You really cant beat that. And they will take an item back if you change your mind (minus a 15% restocking fee). Additionally I find their used video game prices to be the best around. The store is not messy and actually is well decorated (though the back area did look kind of dirty), but that isnt the reason I shop there. The employees arent experts in their products but they are helpful. As a seller, I wasnt impressed with their low ball offers and have never actually sold them anything. Overall, as a buyer this is the best and only place around to buy used electronics with a warranty. You also find great deals in other areas. I definitely recommend them.

At one time i was able to go into Trade It and sell various household items for cash without a problem. It was never alot, maybe $20-$50 at a time. I did this once or twice a week for a while and then went a couple months without selling anything to them untile one day on a Friday I decided to drive the 20+ miles to there store just for them to tell me that they were out of cash for the day at 3pm. I came back the next day at 10am and still got the same answer, that they didnt have any cash and were only offering store credit. I then went to a pawn shop a few blocks away and they werent interested in any of my items but informed me that Trade It had been telling customers that they were only offering store credit for months. I waited a couple of weeks and decided to give it one more shot and I even called ahead this time to make sure that they were buyimg items for cash and I was told that yes they were and drove there yet again only to be told that they wereonly payimg cash for gold and flat screen TVs. Why they couldnt gave told me this on the phone is beyond me but for them to lie to me about why they were only offering store credit the first time i went there is very unprofessional.

Had a terrible experience with Brain the employee with the fancy facial hair. I tried to pawn my iPhone6 and my other apple products but he treated me like a drug addict looking to get my next hit. He was rude, talked down to me and the other customers and showed zero interest in providing good service or offering the time to look at my items. He took a look at the my iPhone and after throwing out a low ball number of $350 for it. He didnt even bother checking prices on it and Suggested it might be a fake because he couldnt verify the modal number and passed on it. He then totally refused to look at my other items and embarrassed me Infront of everyone who probably thought I was trying to pass off a bogus product. Went to Picasso pawn and got $685 for the phone and was treated with respect and kindness. Also got another $80 for the other stuff that Brian was to bothered to look at.

Been coming to Trade It for at least a couple of years now and have always had a pleasant experience every time I have been in the store. I mainly come in to look through their dvds and used video games. The prices are amazing and have gotten some incredible deals. My only concern is that before you buy lets say a dvd, you have to check the case first to make sure the correct dvd is in there and its not scratched. I know of a couple of times I have found a couple dvds I wanted, I go to check the case and a different dvd was in there, there was nothing inside or the disc was scratched beyond belief! But other than that, I have never had a bad experience and the customer service I have experienced has always been outstanding.

I left that laptop that I bought for 200 bucks with a faulty battery for Trade-It to repair. They promised me theyll get it fixed for 3 weeks. This was November 15. I came back on December 6th. No return, said its still in repairs. They said it might be available for pickup next week. Now its this week. I just called on November 13th and they said it wont be available for pickup tomorrow. This is unprofessional, and inexcusably rude. Ive never been so infuriated like this. Ive waited patiently for over 3 weeks and Ive felt lied to. They can keep the laptop. I want my money back and I want it tomorrow. THE WHOLE REFUND. The laptop & warranty. I want my money back.

Worst customer service via phone I ever had in my life. I called in around 10:30 a.m. on 4/26/2014 and had a couple of inquiries about iPhones and the employee who answered was really rude and cursed, then hung up the phone. I am really pissed because I dont usually write reviews on companies, especially bad ones but I must say that this past experience with Trade It! has left a disgusting impression on me. I hate that one employee really got me, but if they are allowing people like him to work there, then I dont know how to feel about the rest. One rotten eggs spoils the whole bunch is all i have to say.
