BEWARE OF SALON! Unless your 50+ years old and having your hair washed and put in rollers, STAY AWAY! Especially if your going there to have your hair colored!! My 19 year old daughter received a JCPenney gift card for Christmas and decided that she would use it at the salon. She was able to schedule an appointment for Thursday (2 days before New Years Eve). Her hair was bleached blonde with her brown roots growing out. She told the stylist that she wanted to go back to her natural root color. It was later in the evening and there was NOBODY there, no customers, no associates, NOBODY. The phone kept on ringing and ringing and the stylist continuously had to run and answer the calls. When the color was finished it didnt seem to be too bad, UNTIL the next day when we could see it in daylight. GREEN !! The top of the hair was a very nice brown but the back/bottom was green, ashy, and grayish in color. Even after washing it, it was the same. I immediately called the salon and explained the situation. The woman on the phone said that she could squeeze my daughter in on the next day (Saturday, New Years Eve). Well, it was New Years Eve and they were very busy with mostly older women having rollers put in their hair. We explained to the Manager that we could not match this color to any extensions. It was GREEN! She then proceeded to instruct another stylist to "put a 5 on it", even though the stylist was complaining that she had 2 other clients booked and didnt have much extra time. So, the color was put on and we waited, and waited, and waited. After it was washed out, the stylist informed us that she had a cut on her hand and that she was unable to hold a blowdryer, so my daughter was put under the "blower". And we waited and waited and waited. When my daughter was taken out of the "blower", the stylist was confused and baffled. Her hair was exactly the same, GREEN! Other stylists came over to try and assess the problem. My daughter was asked "What color was your hair when you came in for the coloring?". My daughter told them it was bleached blonde with her brown roots growing out. AHHH, now they know what happened! The original stylist failed to put on a "Filler", causing the bleached blonde hair to turn GREEN! Okay, "So what do we do now?" I asked. The stylist proceeded to tell me that she still had other clients waiting and didnt have time to do anything else! She told my daughter to go buy extensions that she wants and bring them in, and she will try to match the color! WHAT !!! I couldnt believe this was happening!! This isnt about matching hair extensions, its about a 19 year old girl having GREEN HAIR !!! I could see my daughter getting upset so I began to cry. I explained that we just wanted a color that wasnt green, ashy, grayish! We were told again that she didnt have time and to just give it a few days, it will wash out! WHAT !!!! My upset daughter walked out of the salon and I stood there crying in disbelief! THEN.....The stylist says " I have to get to my other clients, so shes going to ring you out". WHAT !!!! The other lady looked at me and said "Itll be $60" (Honestly, Im not really sure what the amount was, I just know it was over $40) WHAT !!!! Are you kidding me !! And thats exactly what I said "Are you kidding me". Surprisingly, through the tears pouring down my face and my anger at the highest levels, I managed to stay fairly calm and said "Her hair is EXACTLY the same as it was when we got here. And its because of a mistake your stylist made, I am appalled that Im even being asked to pay , and I will not pay"! I told the woman that I was having a difficult time staying calm and asked her if I could just leave now and of course with a horrible attitude she said "BYE BYE" Nobody should have to experience this...Especially a 19 year old young girl on New Years Eve!! I will NEVER, EVER go to a JCPenney Salon!!! STAY AWAY

This place really brings down an otherwise great mall. What frustrates me the most is that this establishment treats the customer like they are a completely idiot. They do this to a brazen extent. Next time youre here, play a little game with yourself. Try to find something that isnt marked as being on sale. It will be tough. They dont think you know that if everything is on sale all the time, then truly nothing is on sale. They flatout lie about original prices of things in order to tout their "sale" price. I was looking at kitchenaids and they were ON SALE for $350. That is 50 bucks more than the Target right across the street is selling them for. They try saying that Kitchenaids have a $500 suggested retail price. Bull. Bull bull bull. They are lying to you and you shouldnt take it. The sephora is nice though oh and theres one mens bathroom in the entire place. Located in the womens cardigans section of course

Ordered a sofa online in December to be delivered by Feb 2. Order was "damaged" in shipping and we were never contacted. After reaching out 3 weeks after the order was supposed to be delivered, we were told that our order was damaged in shipping and had been cancelled and we would be refunded. If we wanted to continue, we were back in the queue for 2 months.... Through all of this, we were never contacted or offered any kind of assistance or expedited replacement. Buyer beware!

Really pathetic when a company sweeps the facts under the rug that the area asset protection manager (Rob Dorr) that works in the Raleigh store was not terminated after a former female employee reported sexual harassment and another one of his female employees reported inappropriate interactions with Dorr to the DLPM. Not to mention the fact other managers reported sexual advancements toward other female supervisors (who work in other stores) from Dorr.

Horrible Customer Service Employees need training. Forget about redeeming your online coupons in store via phone the basement is a dead zone and employees act like your a criminal when you cant provide a coupon . Problems with getting online orders correct have been told order was there and was not could not ship to home as ship to store is not an option on some items. Ship to your home not this store!!!!!

The bathroom was dirty and someone was taking care of it but since it was closed the lady told me to go to the salon to use that one I got there and the salon ladies were so rude and wouldnt let me use their bathroom saying it was not for customers. Just not friendly people. The photo studio people were outstanding but the salon ladies need to work on their customer service skills..

The selection here is okay, and prices are decent when theres a sale, but whoever designed the restrooms needs to find a different career. For some unknown reason, the mens room and the womens room are on different floors, at opposite ends of the store. If your kid tells you he has to pee, you could be in for a long walk.

My wife use to love to shop here but when they trashed the brand she was heart broken, "Where is my Penneys". A great example of loosing track of their base. They have improved a lot of it and we may come back again. A lot of trust was lost. This place has come good help and that means a lot too.
