Every time I have stepped foot in the Trek Mountain Bike Store of Greensboro, I have been treated excellent. I spent months researching different brand bikes from multiple stores around Greensboro. The defining reason why I went with a Trek bike is because not only the reliability of a Trek bicycle, but also the way Greensboro Trek treated me. When I first went in to browse bikes without the intention of buying one, they were super friendly. They were never pushy to get me to buy a bike, but they were always right there willing to explain everything on the bike for a first time buyer looking to invest the money in a good bike. They encouraged me to ride around the parking lot bikes I liked to try them out. Even when I called on the phone, Greensboro Trek was so happy to help and take time to help me understand. A service tech even pulled the specs for a Specialized bike I was looking at to help me compare with a Trek to make the right choice to fit my needs. When I called Cycles de Oro, it was like they rushed to get me off the phone, said theirs was probably better, and said "Just come in the store and we can show you". I wasnt impressed with Cycles de Oros customer staff at all. After deciding I would buy from Trek, they welcomed me into the store once again. They encouraged me to try out each bike I was interested in. The salesman told me all about each bike, comparing pros and cons, but what I appreciated was he let me have space to browse and think on my own without hovering. I bought my 2012 Trek Cobia Feb 2012. I took it back a week later for a quick adjustment they did for free. Within 15 minutes, they had quickly made an adjustment on my brake, and demonstrated me how to fix the problem if it happened in the future. They also adjusted my cables and got me ready to ride again. On 3/22/12 the threads on my pedal stripped off the crank and broke off. Some great guys waited at the store a little after closing to allow me to drop my bike off. They took care of the problem and fixed everything no charge. Bottom Line: Greensboro Trek is great. The staff is friendly and eager to help you in your journey for buying a bike and teaching about the passion of biking. Whether its your first purchase, or a returning veteran, they take care of you. The customer service is top-notch. I have been beyond impressed with staff, service, and just the casual feel when you walk in the door. If you are interested in buying a bike, I strongly encourage you visit the store.

My wife and I took our bikes to get the front wheel a trued and the brakes adjusted Sunday afternoon. They tried to charge $50 each bike to tighten all nuts and bolts...do a complete overlook. No....I just wanted what I asked 4. Picked up bikes. Nothing said. Just that they are ready. I test ride it, and b4 I even roll it one foot...the rim the "trued" was wobbly still. Better..but wobbly still. So its then, and only then, that the guy who worked on it and handled the closeout of sale, tells me the rim is bent....factory sent like this. Either way....you should have told me this when I came to pick it up, not just let me roll away!! My brake job takes 12 feet to stop. At this point of $98, and nothing done on my bike...Im told by the management I asked to speak to that the rim is bent on the opposite side that I had to literally ask the maintenance guy to point out where. He points to the drive side, and the manager, that day, points to the other side..... Okay whatever. Why does it take 12 feet to stop????? "Well your wifes brakes has paint on the rims...and thats why they squeak....and yours are as tight as they can get." I say what??? What did I pay you for?!!! It was not a Trek bike, obviously. And not being a Trekker....I got the sub par attitude with the sub suck service. And if management reads this, and contacts me, and fixes what I paid them for!, ILL TAKE THIS REVIEW DOWN

After checking out a few other places, this is simply the best bike shop in Greensboro. I bought a new Marlin 7, and my wife bought a new Skye a few weeks ago and the staff could not have been more helpful. They walked me through all of my options, sized the bike, and even put together a bike out of the box because it fit me the best. They walked me through basic maintenance, gave me tips, and also patiently answered every one of my questions. Its been a long time since Ive bought a bike so I had a LOT of questions. Ive been back in there a few times since for some adjustments and to buy accessories, and every single person has been extremely helpful. From the owner, to the salespeople, to the mechanics in the back, theyre all great people who honestly want to help and make your experience great.

This bike shop is great. There are several bike stores in Greensboro that have amazing bicycles, the difference here is the staff. Im not speaking poorly of other shops, just saying the Trek store has earned my future business through their customer service. Im new to the road bike culture and Ive never been made to feel like Im being talked down to or lesser than because of my lack of knowledge. Instead of being discouraged to enter this sport, Im encouraged every time I enter the shop. They really stand by their work too. I highly recommend this shop whether youre looking at a cruiser or carbon-framed road bike.

Visited several bike shops in Greensboro to look for a bike for my son, and to get some guidance for my wife, who is considering getting one. The salesperson was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful, and took the time to answer our questions, let us test several bikes. Excellent service, guided to bikes that fit what we were looking for perfectly. Best experience by far of all the stores we visited.

Everyone Ive met at this store has been awesome. I was looking for new mountain bike and Mike and Brad both helped me through that process. Today I met Stamps ( bike mechanic), and he was very friendly and full of helpful tips and information, as he made some adjustments for me and switched me over to tubeless. Im very glad I chose to buy a Trek and very impressed with the service at this store.

Amazing, how wonderful to be treated like a customer. I was doing a group set install (go stuck) on a bike I did not purchase there with a group set it did not purchase from Trek. Nonetheless, they helped me and went above and beyond my expectations. Andy is brilliant and did a fantastic job with my Campagnolo groupset on my Specialized Bike. No question...I will be back!

I went in looking for a Cruiser (not the most serious bike). The men helping me were friendly, knowledgeable, and took as much time as needed to make sure I knew everything about my bike. I was expecting the process to be a little intimidating, but I was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a bike. Save time, and make this your first stop.

My boyfriend and I are new in the area, so we looked in at least 3 different bicycle shops to assembly our treks. This shop was the best option ever: fair prices and excellent staff service. Also the staff gave us words of advice about trails and greenways to explore.
