I bought a 16" Specialized Hotrock bike for my kid for $230 and had it returned the day after because it was too small and I actually found a better fit elsewhere. Tried to return in NEW condition with a receipt and guess what: they wouldnt take it back! A lot frustration and unnecessary talk. Eventually they agreed to exchange it for a bigger bike, but this required a lot of effort. Stay away from this place! I will write to Specialized to ask them to review their official distributors more carefully. The issue has been kind of resolved but bad aftertaste remains. Dont expect this place to be helpful. FYI: In Florida customers have a right to get a refund if items are returned in new condition up to 20 days from the date of purchase unless it is clearly advertised in the store that they accept no returns. In my case this was day 2 and guess what - no signs about no returns anywhere in the store - I would never have bought it if there were. RIP OFF

No recomiendo este lugar, hacen muy mal el mantenimiento, dejan mal ajustados los frenos y mal engrasada la cadena. La garantía son solo 24 horas. Compre llanta nueva y le pusieron una válvula diferente, por lo tanto no pude usar el aire de ningún gas station o de mi propio inflador, le pedí que me pusiera la válvula original y se negaron a hacerlo. Quería cobrarme $15 como si fuera servicio nuevo. Los precios son muy altos con cero garantía y cero servicio al cliente.

Born and raised on the beach and been skateboarding and riding bikes since the age of 5 and am 39 now. Seen and used alot of shops. He is far from shady and there services they provide is top notch. Straight to the point no BS. If his bike are to much it is understandable times are hard. That is why Wal-Mart and K Mart exists and the brands huffy and bmx are around. You get what you pay for. Do you want a Toyota or Lexus take your pick. I am actually picking my bike up from there again after I was hit by a car and it will run like new like they always do. And yes Iay have a.extra charge for a issue they didnt expect in the beginning because of not being physic in all. Thank you guys for your hardwork you cant please everyone. Best shop around.

Absolutely horrible customer service, I went in to have a bolt tighten and the owner told me it will be 3-4 dollars and i have to wait 15-30min on his mechanic. When he could of simply grabbed the allen key himself and tighten it. He treated me as if i was a bum from the beach asking to used his bathroom, and this is the second time something like this has happened with that guy. When i get ready to buy my new bike ill be sure not to go to over priced, bad customer service, JB Bikes. Ive been in the store when people are getting ready to purchase a bike and he treats them different then me who is not going to spend as much. You just lost a customer great job buddy!

Caution travellers! Do not rent a bike there! We went there a week ago and a 500 dollar deposit was put on our credit card, which of course is common and alright. We returned the bikes that very same day and everything seemed ok. Nevertheless, a week later that deposit was still not back on my card. When I called the owner, he claimed he was unable to put it back which according to the bank I had called before is complete bullshit and which also never has happened renting anything from cars to jet skis before so please do not go there unless you want your vacation money taken by some careless retailer!

Im new in the area, just moved from New England to Mia :) I was looking for my new bike. I gave JB Bike a specific request, talked to the owner, gave him what i thought was a toll order, and 48 hours execution time. Ive got a call back in 2 hours. The bike was ready to be picked up. Awesome store, great owner, very experienced tech-support staff in the stores bike-lab. Ive learned couple more things too. I wish i could tell you more, but Ive got to go ride that awesome piece of machinery. Specialized bikes are really great. I have high regards to JB and recommend to all my friends. Cheers! -Rafael

I went with a friend last night to JB Bike Shop for her to buy spinning shoes. The owner personally helped us; he was extremely knowledgeable and beyond patient. The whole experience was super positive. I was very impressed to learn that JB Bike Shop is family owned and has been in business for 25 years. They recently moved to their new location at 7430 Collins Avenue. It is a cozy neighborhood shop with personalized service and top of the line equipment without the hassle of loud noise and crowds. I don’t spin nor bike but if and when I do, this will be my go-to place.

Terrible customer service. Went in yesterday to purchase 2 parts (overpriced) for my bike, was told to bring it in today to have them installed. Came in today at 5:15 to have the install done and was told by the fatter customer service representative that it was too late in the day and to come back Monday. The store closes at 6:00pm. What the hell kind of shop refuses service to their customers?? He was rude yesterday and I chalked it up to a bad day but he had the same attitude today. From reading other reviews, I think it would be better to go anywhere but here.

nice looking shop, very over priced bikes. i recently lost my car so i needed just a regular bike to move around. i went in one of the salesman very good kid, showed me my options, let me test the bike in the shop and made the sale. i told the kid " ill take it" after that a fat,old, bald man (owner) comes to me dismisses the kid and he try to sell me some other bike... dude the sell was done you are too old,let go, its over. I walked out without buying any bike, went across the street and bought a bike for half the price..

I just bought a new bike from the shop Sam gave me a great deal! Alley is very kind and helps you with anything you need, the guy that fixes the bikes is very good at it and fast great knowledge (forgot to ask hes name). They also had to put together the bike since this was ordered to the shop and i was supposed to get it on monday but since they knew it was a birthday gift they rushed and had it ready on a Saturday. I appreciated that. Great shop good service professional a lot of the bad reviews have it wrong.

I tried to buy a used bike from this guys and all I wanted to do was to try it out first and ride it around the block to see how it ran but owner refused and told me to pay first then try the bike, How in the hell do you expect people to buy something without trying first? No wonder why they have the worst rating in bike shops around. Rude and unfriendly staff. From reading other reviews, I think it would be better to go anywhere but here. I did and got a better deal, ps: they let me ride before you buy.
