Took my bike in to have a tune up and brakes fixed a couple of weeks ago. On the way home after the repair, the bike was making a weird noise and a reflector fell off. I didnt think much of it. Two weeks after, I ran over a nail and had to have the tire replaced. My mom dropped off the bike on my behalf and they managed to talk her into having a number of unrelated services done -- including a tune up and brake adjustment. Only two weeks after having "repaired" these brakes themselves! The guys behind the counter seemed polite enough, but to con a well-meaning middle aged woman into paying 85 DOLLARS to replace a flat tire and perform redundant tune up is INEXCUSABLE. Im beyond disappointed in my experience with this shop. Theres no way a tire replacement costs 1/3 what I paid for the bike. Their service isnt worth the cost, and these clearly arent trustworthy individuals. The next time I need my bike serviced I will definitely be heading elsewhere.

This is the only legitimate bike shop that I have ever been to, but the level of customer service and expertise provided here is so impressive that Im sure Ill never need to go anywhere else. Their bicycle stock is largely comprised of road bikes that range from entry level to high-end (mainly Specialized), but they offer a fair selection of other bicycles as well (FG, SS, MTB, BMX, Hybrids, Cruisers, etc). When it comes to bicycle components they stock the latest and greatest...just in case someone wants to enjoy some Shimano Dura-Ace goodies however, if you have have an older bike (80s-90s era) you might have trouble acquiring certain high-end parts solely from their stock alone, they make this a non-issue though by ordering the parts and providing you with expert-level insight on what you want to order. Overall, the shop is a prime example of a business operating as it should, and it makes all my expenditures at the shop feel well worth it.

Just started biking this week. Though I did not get my bike from these guys, I was referred to get it tuned up and checked out. Now, in terms with other reviews ive read, i wasnt immediately helped when i walked in, but that is only because they had a bunch of customers -- and that atleast tells me they have a reputation I shouldnt worry about. I dealt with Richard; nice and to the point. He straight up told me that i wouldnt get it back today (he saw that was my only transportation) and gave me a good time frame to come back. He also let me fill my tires which were stupid low (my inexperience caused that). They are 4 miles away and well worth the ride.

I bout a $1900 bicycle and have to take twice to get the gears fixed in less than a month of owning it! I was going to happily buy a trek at a different store and they convinced me into buying a Scott and now I am having to leave the bicycle for various days interrupting my training schedule because they had 15 bicycles scheduled for repair. They do not care about warranties. Take your current bike to get it fixed because they will skip all warrantee services but do not dare buy one at this shop (North Miami), it is probably a different situation in the other store since it is where the owner works. Find another shop, trust me.

Tony over at this office was very helpful and went out of his way to help us. Finding a bike that is built specifically for a woman is not easy. We went to several other stores and they all tried to sell my wife a man’s bike. My wife was looking for a bike that fit her and was built for a woman. Tony was willing to bring in a bike. Let us try it and if we did not want the bike they would make it part of their stock and sell. We loved the bike. Price was also very good. We shopped and had done a lot of research before going to the store. Not much more you can ask for.

Passed by with the intention of buying a fixie bike right now. Walked in and was barely greeted and after walking around for a minute someone finally approached me. I explained to him what I wanted and he said straight out we dont got it. Probably have some at the warehouse come back another day with no intent on further helping. No hey lets try to see if we can find something ur size to at least try. Nope hey just come back another her day. Well that wont happen because if I am gonna pay for that price on a bike you better treat people correctly.

Today I was prepared for the first group ride - the easiest way for me was to join a group based on a recommendation and others opinion, therefore I went with a group from Big Wheel – nice experience, very friendly and willing to teach me how to ride within a group – Big Wheels staff did ride with us, that proves for them is not only a business, but a passion/hobby too – that’s what I expect from a business owner. Very pleasant experience, I can’t wait for next Saturday to join them again. Thank you! - Alin

I got my Dahon folding bike from them, and will get my next one there too. Their mechanics are great: knowledgeable and skillful. The staff know their stuff as they seem to be bike enthusiasts. They have large product selection of high end accessories. They have more fixie bikes than any dealer Ive ever seen and dont trash talk fixies like other shops. The only thing they lack is a big selection of low end accessories for the average person who wants to use their bike for commuting and not racing.

I went in there looking for a mountain bike. I asked for help, and was told to wait... Not the friendliest staff at all. They came off arrogant almost. When someone attended me, it was Tony. Great guy, patient, answered all my questions, polite and gave me competitive prices, not simply stating msrp. I didnt buy from them as they didnt have the model/ brand I desired. They do however have a decent selection of mid to upper price bikes. If you go here bypass all present and ask for Tony.

Best Bicycle Shop, Best Management and Best Owners! I have been a loyal customer and friend of Big Wheel Cycles since the 1980s...thats right, same owners and they are great! Their selection is fantastic and covers beginners and first bikes for kids all the way through the professional competition lines! Road, MTB, BMX or just cruising to the beach, you will be amazed when you enter the shop! They have all of the accessories you will ever need and then some! Be sure to buy a helmut!

Came in to get info on comfort bikes and Sandy & Tony were great with the comparisons to the new style of "all-in-one" type of Fitness bikes. We left with a Specialized Roll Elite and both my husband and I love the new bike with, "low entry" access and still looks and performs like they advised. Road 10 miles with ease and fun on the flat trails at Markham. Great advice & service as well from Shannon too! Selection, colors and the Prices were reasonable and affordable.

We have bought 5 mountain bikes from Big Wheel over the years and we also rely on them for all our maintenance needs. Richard is a friendly, no pressure sales person and you can count on Shannon for all your repair/maintenance needs. I am greeted by name whenever I come in--kind of like the Cheers of bike shops. Support your local bike shop....and if you dont have one make this one yours!
