Service department is dishonest thieves. a year ago a bought a r1100rt with a abs light on also it had the low speed surge and high speed vibration. So i made appointment waited a week then dropped it off, told them to diagnose the abs set the valves sync the throttle body change the brake fluid. i call every couple days they told me they were busy and they hadnt got to it yet (ok why did i make an appointment). 2 week later they called and said the abs light was a faulty front brake sensor and the part was in Germany and would take 2 week to get . 3 weeks later they had the sensor on but that wasnt the problem and it needed an abs pump, it would take between 700 and 1200 dollars in labor and i would need to provide the pump. i said no thank you i will do it myself. went and picked up my bike. the bill was just over 400 dollars for the part and labor. the manager said the mechanic would bring the bike out front for me. When he rode the bike around i could hear the lifter noise so i asked him how far out of adjustment were the valves? he said not far and he had rode it till the engine warmed up and it ran good. the ride home it still had lifter noise the surge and vibration. I thought it must be something else maybe something in the emissions. A mouth later the front bake line started to leak. on closer inspection they had zip tied the abs wire to the line in a way that it caused the brake line to rub every time the wheel moved up and down. (faulty workmanship) i decided to replace the abs pump and upgrade the lines to braided. step one drain the brake fluid it was the worst brake fluid i had ever seen obviously hadnt been change. even though they charged me for that. so i replaced the pump the lines the pads put it back together and decided to check the valves and the throtle sync. sure enough hadnt be done. even though they charged me for that. so now that im done the lifter noise is gone the surge is gone the high speed vibration is better i have replaced the replaced the abs pump but the abs light is still on . upon close inspection the sensor they replaced was improperly shimmed and is now damaged. So if you have alot of time money and dont whant you bike repaired so you can do a lot of unnecessary work yourself, this is the place to go

I have some experience with these guys regarding repairs. I suggest you avoid them. They used to have three locations and now they have one. Nearly their entire service department quit. That speaks for itself. Want a BMW or Triumph? Go to Raleigh My latest snafu with these guys is that in February I dropped off a motorcycle and parts to be fixed and painted. At the time, the service manager said sure bring it up now, we dont have much business now and it will not take long. Well after a week of the tow truck I called to see what was happening and I was told the service department quit. They were going to send the bike to one guy to paint and another guy to work on it. Now its July and I get my bike back. The good news is I have a bike which runs great (tip of the hat to the mechanic) but a lousy paint job. Unfortunately to me, the dealer billed me for the paint job and took my money but the painter did the work. Now, I have problems with my paint and the dealer says tough luck work it out with the painter. Besides taking a long time to work on and a lousy paint job these guys also lost my $100 battery in the process. Now, did they offer to give me a battery? No. My first experience with these guys doing repairs was simply being expensive. This time, its just an issue of we have your money and you have your bike. Tough luck that the work was not done well. Take us to court our lawyer is meaner than you.

I am still trying to get my Ducati straightened out that they screwed up over a year ago. I dropped my bike off to have a small oil leak repaired and the timing belt replaced. This repair was supposed to take 1-2 weeks. During the course of the repair, they lost their Ducati franchise. Without telling me, they shipped my bike torn apart to Charlotte to have the repairs finished without my knowledge or consent. 3 months after dropping it off, I got a call to say that my bike was ready and that the owner had test driven it himself. When I arrived to pick up my bike it would not idle, it ran like crap, it had wiring hanging down from the nose, it was missing screws from the headlight cover, the glove box was broken (right fairing), and the battery cover tabs were broken (left fairing). The owner was not present the day I picked it up....coincidence??? They tried to make me pay for the work that they themselves didnt even perform on my bike which didnt run properly. When I refused, the owner threatened me with legal action and mechanics liens.

What a joke!!! Sales staff act like they have better things to do than help anyone... Parts guy cant even get an order right and acts like you bother him to get a part.... Service department never calls you back and techs are so busy doing the owners bikes and his buddys bikes that by the time you get yours back you will forget what it looked like! Good thing the owners daddy pays for the dealership to stay running, if it actually needed customer revenue it would have been long gone! Good thing they got dropped by Triumph and Ducati, now they can suck at only one brand line! The one and half hour trip to the Charlotte dealership or one hour trip to Raleigh is worth it... Trust me!

Best sales and service on the east coast. I like the directness of the service department. Everytime I have ordered a part from Carolina BMW, they make sure to check it before they call and tell me it has shipped in. All of the sales staff, including the owner, are very experienced motorcycle enthusiasts. This gives them credibility. Every bike I have purchased from Carolina BMW has been a positive experience. I live in Florida and make the long trip back to N.C. because I will only purchase a bike from those guys!!!

Purchased my S1000rr from them new in 2014 and have had several visits to them for service/maintenance. The entire staff has ALWAYS been extra friendly and knowledgeable with every visit or phone call. They have also been reasonable with pricing and given my "Lola" extra care when handling her. I will be a lifelong customer!!! Thanks everybody!
