My brand new $50k XC90 needed to go into the shop for repairs w/less than 6k miles on it. Obsurd! I took it in for my scheduled appt at 7:30 a.m. When I didnt hear from them by 3:00 I called to check on the status. They couldnt duplicate the issue so they had not even started working on it. Rather than calling me to discuss they decided there was no problem and I could just pick it up? After I spoke w/the service mgr and explained for the 2nd time what the issue/sounds were he called me back to tell me they were able to duplicate and know what the problem is and theyll start working on it immediately. They called me at 5:00 to tell me it was done. I picked it up only to drive it all the way home and find they never fixed it at all. I had to drive it BACK to drop it off AGAIN. I spoke w/a great mechanic who promised he would do the work and do it correctly. They had my car for 3 days (had to order a part). When I recd it back I had it delivered to me (which was great). But I found multiple scratches that were not there when I dropped it off. I dont know how they release a car back to the owner w/out making sure its been fully repaired and I dont know how they treat the vehicle when its in the shop to scratch the paint. My car is brand new, can I be the one to damage it please? The service mgr told me this is why they give warranties w/new cars. How pleasant, that makes me feel much better. Nevermind the 3 round trips I had to make, each being 30 mins 1-way. Nevermind the gas it took to get there and back each time, so Im out of pocket the gas $ for trips I should have never had to take in the 1st place. Nevermind that I bought a brand new car so that I could count on the reliability and not have to worry or deal w/mechanical issues outside of normal service visits for at least a few years. Crazy. Just crazy. Should have gone w/the Acura MDX.

I went to this dealer after seeing a pre owned Volvo wagon I was interested in on their site. I had spoke with Jimmy on the phone about trading in my car prior to going. After that, I spoke with Gary Shaw to let him know I was on my way. I took it for a test drive with Gary, loved it but was concerned about the space it lacked in the back seat for my son. Took it for another ride with Jimmy and really fell in love with the car. That was Sat.. Went back with my husband and son on Monday to see how we all fit, and well... my son just had no legroom whats so ever. I was bummed. Gary went on to show me a few more options like the SUV and I loved that too, had great space but we have an SUV and didnt really want another. Then we looked at a couple more wagons and still... didnt have the room I was looking for in the backseat. So, standing there, thinking that was it, we ran out of options...Gary threw out one more car the V60 T5 Inscription. I initially thought, no... It doesnt have that Classic Volvo look I wanted with the lights or body... and its not a wagon... but we sat my son in the back seat of the showroom car and Omgoodness was there space! So, Gary showed us another in the lot, a black one because I didnt like the other colors... This one had tan interior which I dont love either, but go figure once I was in it... that was it. It was my moment. We found the car! Gorgeous, roomy, the one. Gary spent so much time letting me and my family test drive numerous vehicles and just trying to find us something that would work! I appreciated that. Everyone was easy going, pleasant and made this experience nice. Jimmy the internet guy, Gary the salesman and Greg in finance. Thanks everyone. We love our car. Its dreamy. I went in for a pre owned wagon, almost settled for an SUV and left with a brand new beautiful and deceivingly spacious Sedan. Funny how things work out!

This review is to response to "Don Worry About it" Love the dealership dont like disrespectful "kids" Mr. Dont Worry About it, I would like to know if you think you have more knowledge of Saabs then everyone at Saab/Volvo then why dont you have your own shop. The tech who worked on your car did reinspect it for you after you were told to go to DMV if you didnt think that your car was not legal. Apparently since you brought it back with the tint removed every where you obviously knew it was not legal. Judging by the fact that you think people treat you like a teenager as you stated you obviously are not wise in years yet. You even had an attitude when you came back and the machine wasnt working stating "im staying until it works". So you see you are a kid a disrespectful one. As for the tech, he has worked on Saabs for the past 30 years most likely way before you were even a twinkle in your parents eyes, So before you go and bad mouth someone or a business make sure you are honest with everything that played out. The headlight intensity was too low as the machine that tested came back with the results. Your dash cam should really tell the real story but OH you didnt mention that you were recording all of this. So Maybe it is time for you to be honest with yourself and realize just like most kids your age you want an awesome looking car however you must remember that the law is the law. If it was legal in your eyes you could have gone to DMV and had them inspect it and if they passed it got a waiver. But no you didnt. Instead you came back and reinspected and now want to go get it re-inspected again. By the way this review will also go to Jim Ellis Dealership in Atlanta so they know what type of person you are. Have a nice day and grow up

Let me start by saying I never leave bad reviews, and until this experience have never been wronged enough to take time out of my day to do so. I brought my Volvo s60 T6 in for a routine service approximately two weeks ago, and just received it in terrible condition. After initially picking up my vehicle post service I noticed that the windshield was scratched and dinged with what could only have been a power tool. After letting the dealership know that this wasnt how they received my car, they have dragged out the process of doing the right thing and fixing the windshield by two weeks. I have been routinely ignored, sent to voicemail and laterally moved to avoid getting in touch with anyone capable of remedying this situation not to mention treated like a liar and a wannabe thief from the START by Amy Clark the service manager (beyond rude). I am a branch manager and compliance attorney in the finance industry located in uptown Charlotte, and am being treated like a scam artist. This being the 4th Volvo in my family, I am disgusted with the treatment and overall handling of this situation. I will be writing letters to Volvo headquarters, Volvos partner companys, and the owner of this dealership off of Independence for starters. I will be telling everyone and anyone to skip this Volvo dealership. DO NOT bring your car here, and do NOT buy your car here.
