This is my first and last time purchasing from Crown Auto the service during the sales process was great from Moe and Clarence. My husband and I were very pleased to start off and proud to be supporting a minority owned company. The nightmare started a little over a week after our purchase when the car started cutting in the middle of traffic and automatic shifting was clearly not working properly. When I called Crown to report the problem they advised me to take the car to pep boys’ auto. After a couple hours pep boy informed us it was fixed and they did an oil change, which Ms. V (from Crown service dept) later confirmed was a lie. A few days after I was told it fixed I had the same problem and was referred by crown to take it back to pep boys, who kept the car for a day then returned it saying everything was fine. One week later the same problems back again and starting getting worse when I called crown this time they decided to have me bring it to them and they kept the car for 2 days and returned saying there was nothing wrong. This last time the car shut completely off while driving about 40mph. When we got it started again all the service lights came on and it said "engine power reduce" at which point the car would not accelerate over 10mph. I was stuck in the midst of traffic at the intersection of 2 busy streets going 10 mph in this death trap of a car that I had been trying to get them to repair for over a month. Thankfully I was able to get the call to the side of the road without getting killed and my insurance company sent a tow truck to tow the car to my house. The service from the corp office over this whole experience has been half ass. I demanded to speak with Mr. Vincent Lewis at the corp office, who I left several detailed messages for over the last 3 weeks about the issue, hoping for a resolution. He told me this is the first he is hearing of this and he side they not obligated to do anything. By the end of the conversation he agreed to have someone pick up the car from my house at 5:45pm on 1/18/15 to check it out but Im still waiting for them to pick it up as Im writing this at 10pm. I called several time and was told that someone was on their way and they would call me right back no one has called or came to get it even tho my house is only 3 mins from the office. I went to the corp office to give them the key and they wouldnt answer the door. So I went to the north Tryon location 10 mins before closing and had them call the corp office their response was take down her information we will get back to her.......no need I will be there when they open in the AM 2/2/16- Thank you to the staff of Crown Auto for hearing my concerns and working toward a resolution. We appreciate you all showing that you value our business and improving our experience.

I bought my car about two and a half month ago, the experience started off easy as easy as car buying can be. Clearance and Angela helped as much as they could to get me in a car . But you have to keep in mind that they are sales people. My issues started a month after my purchase of the car. The car started to use a TON of gas so we switched out spark plugs, no biggie. Then I get a phone call about a late fee on my payment but when payments where discussed I wasnt notify of the late fee I was told that as long as my payments where in my the end of the month. My second month of having the car little small issues started to occur. The car started shaking and jerking. Towards the end of the month the car started to cut off while rolling. And the ac just went out, It comes on whenever it wants too. Mind you I’m a mother of a 7 month old little girl. I can’t afford to drive a car that’s going to cut off in the middle of a highway. In the past two weeks my car has cut off 5 different times three of those times I had my daughter with me. When I called the dealership with my concerns. Ken told us to google the problem and that way we can tell the mechanic what WE think it is. Then make a appointment letting the service center what WE think is wrong with the car. Like honestly what dealership tells their guest to diagnose and troubleshoot their own car problems. THAT’S NOT MY JOB! MY CAR is under a warranty and even if its not you don’t brush me off to the side telling me to find it out on my own. Then I called the service center and was told they will be back with me within the hour or so they had to see if there was a RECALL on my car. That was at 9 this morning it is now 1:16 in the afternoon and I HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING. What kind of person allows a mother to drive off the lot with a messed up car known that there’s going to be a child in that car. That, it’s a risk factor of breaking down in the middle of a highway. Risking everyones lives? A HEARTLESS SALES GROUP, THAT’S WHAT!

I went to Crown on North Tryon a few years ago when I was shopping for a car. From the moment I stepped on the lot, I received such great customer service. I had just left a big dealership, where I stood for thirty minutes without being greeted. I went to find a sales person and he treated me like I wasnt a customer because I didnt have a huge down payment on hand at the time. When I got to Crown, Marvin listened to all my concerns and helped me find a car that fit my budget while still letting me be stylish, economical and comfortable with my decision. I loved my Altima but it was totaled when a tree fell on it back in June. It was a no brainer where I was gonna go to find a new car. I picked up the phone and Marvin told me to come in. Once I got there Mr. Clarence reassured me that I would be taken care of and I shouldnt worry about anything. Eventhough I had to wait for insurance to make the final call, the guys there at Crown went ahead and started looking to find another car for me. Marvin, Bernard, and Mr. Clarence went above and beyond to find what I wanted. They even went to other Crown lots to bring back cars for me to test drive. Finally, I chose an Infinti g35 which was a perfect fit. I stop by whenever I have questions and they are still available to help meet all my needs or direct me in the right direction. I even referred my sister-in- law to Crown and she was pleased with her purchase also. I must say I have bought cars from several dealerships but the service I got here at Crown made me return there instead of buying a car at the Capitol Ford down the street. I was offered a good deal there as well but the customer care I got from Marvin, Mr. Clarence and Bernard made my decision easy. They made me feel like family and for that I will continue to return there when I am in need of a vehicle. Two thumbs up!!
