I brought my wedding band to this business to be re-sized. When I finally returned to pick it up, I was told it had gotten "misplaced". Because the owner and employees were very polite, I gave them an extremely generous amount of time and numerous second chances to find it; finally, many months later, its clear they are just stonewalling, cannot find this object I entrusted them with (engraved, with sentimental value, and which my wife purchased for me for $3,400), but refuse to file an insurance claim (after telling me many months ago they would, if necessary). Now Im told they want ME to file a claim on MY Homeowners Insurance, which is ridiculous and which my agent verified. Even though the employee I spoke with today (whose name I shall withhold here at least at this time) claimed to have the ability to hack into my personal financial information on the computer, and threatened to do so, after I explained that I would be taking this very step in posting my experiences, I am doing this anyway because I think this businesss practices should be exposed. (I wouldnt want to be him after his statement, if it turns out, coincidentally or otherwise, that I ever DO get hacked, since thats the first person the police will want to talk to.) Be VERY wary about who you entrust your valuables with; based on my experience I STRONGLY suggest you avoid Central Avenue Jewelry & Pawn.

Bad business ! Dont go here!!!! Walked in to sell a piece of 10 K gold. He offered me a quick ten bucks, lied right to my face about what is was worth. Went down to the next pawn shop. Go to E-Z Pawn on south Blvd got 25$$$.
