I have pawned an item of mine from them before and paid it off with no problems so needless to say I was super excited to go back. Only to encounter this loud mouth jerk (who I later found out is the owner of the store. I hate owners who feel they can talk to customers any way just because they own the store) who wouldnt shut up to let you get a word in and was extremely loud which was annoying because I had a migraine already from being on the road since early this morning so his loud annoying tone simply added to it. He tried to tell me that my equipment was not worth the amount that I was asking for because they already had similar equipment on the shelves that were barely selling however I explained to him that none of the equipment they had was professional equipment and mine WAS (in a low & calm tone) and he clearly got offended because I knew more about their products and even admitted that he mainly deals with jewelry which made me even more agitated b/c I dont know why he would come and debate with me on an electronic item. Needless to say I left and went less than 2 minutes down the road and got the exact amount that I was asking for with no problems or questions. I will never give them my business again! The fact that the cashiers tried to say that that is just how he is was not enough for me. If a person is that rude and gets worked up that easily with a returning customer then they dont need to work in customer service.

I had a fantastic experience at Carolina Pawn and Jewelry Exchange!! The staff was friendly and competent and not only did they give me a GREAT deal on what I brought in to sell but a man named Rick (I think he was the owner of the shop, I am not 100% sure) helped me out on spending some of that newly acquired income on some cool stuff in his shop... and for good, reasonable prices! I would recommend this shop to anyone who is selling, pawning, or buying! It is a clean shop with a knowledgeable and friendly staff that you would think is working in a high end sales position, not a Charlotte, NC pawn shop! Bravo Rick... on a job well done! I can assure you that I will no doubt return to this shop AND recommend it to others. I have been to dozens of Pawn Shops around the country and this is by far one of the best in this great nation!

Went in one day to try to sell my guitar for some extra money, they said they could either give me $50 if I sold it and walked out, or $100 if I bought something else in the store. I saw an epiphone SG, my dream guitar for 5 years, and it was in perfect condition. I came back yesterday to purchase it, and the guy said he had never remebered telling me the deal he made. He finally agreed to it, since we had gotten really mad about it. The deal was to trade in my guitar, and I could buy the SG for $39, he had charged us $10 tax, which he didnt tell me about before, then he had charged my credit card for $107, then started complaining to us. This is NOT a good company, and I will never be returning. The employees were very rude and ignorant, as well as the boss.

All of my experiences at this store have been outstanding. They have an excellent selection to choose from and have always been very fair with me both when I was buying or selling. What impressed me most about this store was their huge jewelry selection, how well priced it all was, and how friendly/helpful the staff was. I met the owner Rick, who was polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The staff was not the least bit pushy as I have found most big jewelry store employees to be. Hands down the place to go in Charlotte for jewelry, and definitely the best pawn shop I have ever been to.

Im someone who frequents pawn shops. I love to look around and see what kind of gems I can find. Ive been to most in the Charlotte/Matthews area and this is the one I like the best. The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the selection is amazing as well. I have been going here for around 2 years now and have been more than satisfied. All of the employees are very friendly and always able to work with me. If I need a loan, want to sell something or buy, they always help me find what Im looking for and work with me on price. The jewelry selection is incredible and almost half the price of what a fancy corporate store would charge. Highly recommend this store to everyone!

I went to Carolina Pawn & Jewelry exchange to get an appraisal of my wifes wedding set. I was greeted in a very professional and friendly way, which made me feel very comfortable. The process was very smooth and very professional too. I plan on returning, at a later date to buy some of the tools that they have in stock. It was a very rewarding trip.

Ive been going to CPJ for years! They have a huge selection of great priced stuff. I got a great deal on a TV and computer a couple of years ago, and a necklace last year. Plus, the staff there is always super friendly and helpful. If I ever need anything, I always check there first to see what they have.

Talked to an assistant or owner I couldnt tell, either way they where Extremely rude because "they were busy" Went home and tried to satisfy my question over the phone and the guy said "Im not looking right now, Were busy" then hung up This place is Rude NEVER going there again to look for anything

Dont try an do business here, they will treat you like a criminal. They are shady and more interested in looking at the cougar clientele than they are with actually service. No deals just wasted time.
