Went to love lady"s on Tuesday, and saw a tanning bed ask for the price and the girl working the floor said she would have to ask her manager.She came back with a price sticker of 99.00. I ask her if she could plug it up so I could see if it worked, she said they did not have a 220 plug but it worked it just need bulbs. I told her I would come back the next day to see if a 220 plug was what I was looking for. Went back the next day, price was gone off of it and I had to ask again, the girl said it was 400.00 I told her what the price was the day before and she went to her manager and came back to say oh its 600.00.But we will let you have it for 99.99. And again I was told it worked just needs new bulbs. Bought it took it home my son and husband unloaded it, and set it up and plug it in and it does not work.My son also was electrocuted from the tanning bed having bad wiring. Our son is being watched with sever headaches may be going to the ER if he is not better. Now we have a 800 pound paper weight. Be careful on what you buy if they can not test it while you are in the store In Irondale Al.

Called to donate items. Whom ever answered the phone stated that I would receive a call back and I never did. Scheduled a pick up and took hours placing the items out for pick up. I received a call around 9:00am stating that there is a poly where if they deem 1 item is not sellable then non of the items will be picked up. I have no problem with that policy. I would have preferred to be notified prior to spending hours placing the items for pick up. It will be Kings Ranch for my donations now and in the near future as I have have no problems with them in the past.

I am very disappointed in the manner in which these people handle and conduct their Jewelry section and sales, I buy jewelry for my wife, but either the mgt or their employees are buying/taking the silver and gold, before it gets to the showcase for the general public to buy.How do i know this,one of the girls working there stated that she/herself gets most of it.The new store in Clay is just as bad, the mgr there gets first chance, so whats the point.I thought this was a public store?

Charity, its starts at home. But in this case it starts at a converted electronics store in the Irondale/crestwood area of Birmingham. I always find something I need and a few things I dont need but definitely can find a use for at Lovelady Thrift Store. Just a little paint, or a few nails is all you need to have some really great stuff. Heck, Ive even found some clothes there. And it is all for a good cause. Never hurts to be thrifty.

You can find some pretty decent items in this store but the prices are too high. They mark the price up so high on the name brand clothes, bags and shoes that you can buy new for close to the price they have their items marked. Seems really greedy to me to take donations and mark them up to prices that not everyone can afford. Seems like they forget this is a thrift store and not a department store.

Went once last year with a friend who LOVES to thrift-shop. We were impressed with the store and friendly staff. At the check out line, they gave us ANOTHER discount. Needless to say, we were thrilled. I am definitely returning. After reading more about the cause of Lovelady, I am even more happy to spend my money there. Keep it up!

They have tons of stuff and its in great shape and their prices are reasonable. Got a new lounge chair for $6, THE very pair of Bobs Ive been looking for on the Internet for 2 years. (woo hoo), a pair of fancy curtain rods for $3 and more!!! The girls are always super nice and its for a great cause. Love this place.

I like this store.... I have found quite a few nice pieces here. My mother is really into the books. The staff could use some lessons on how to act in front of customers, but overall its really worth a look and the prices are fantastic. I have found several pieces from WHBM, and Calvin Klein new with tags.

I truly love the Loverlay Thrift Store it is one of my most favorite places to go for furniture, childrens clothes ,appliances I go for my shop therapy love to shop at cheap prices and the staff members are always sweet and nice good job see you guys soon . ...Im in this store every 3 to 4 days.

Prices are too high. Good assortment of products and good communication but the prices are too high and its also a little crowed in the lower part of the store. Chalkville lovelady thrift is much better priced although they have went up too within the last 2 months.

I found some good items at decent price but some of the prices were a bit high. There were broken, glued together items that were being sold - in my opinion, those items should not even make it to the shelves because who really wants to buy that?

Always Super Friendly Staff. For a second hand store some of the prices are a lil ridiculous. Seven for Mankind jeans are an expensive brand but im not gonna pay $20 for jeans that are obviously worn and are from 10 seasons ago.

one of the orange shopping carts from your store got left on 900 block of Montclair Rd, on the grass, next to the road. It was there at 8 am today and still there at 3:30 pm. Please send someone to pick it up. Thank you

Great deals and super nice ladies working there. One day, the new one in Clay had an impromptu 50% off everything for two hours as a customer appreciation. Not like Big Saver who treats customers horribly!

Ive been shopping here since they first opened and yes they have gone up a lot on their prices. The store is more organized than any of the other local thrift stores, makes it so much easier to shop.
