The delightful smorgasbord of homegrown food and beverage that is available at the 7th St. Market is a highlight in a city of killer yum spots. The many different stores inside this train stop market all have thier own original personalities. Thier "from scratch" vibe makes you want these bakers, baristas and bartenders to serve you thier best and sit and enjoy amongst the many city dwellers. The place still feels more like common small town market than uptown transportation hub quick stop grub spot. Artisan breakfast sandwiches, fresh baked goods, fruit bowls, sushi platters, handmade exotic chocolates, a bangin fancy cheese shop that serves gourmet grilled cheeses, delicious coffees, wines and a full sports bar, all while getting a steady rotation of patrons thanks to the blue line. Kinda place you come back to untill you hit all the spots. Awesome Eats!

I ventured to the new "7th Street Public Market and Farm Stand" to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers. I took my dog with me, expecting it to be an outdoor market. I was extremely disappointed to find that this "public market" isnt public at all - its a private business located inside the old Reids Fine Foods location. The name is extremely misleading, giving the impression that the property is owned by the city and that its a place where local vendors can set up a table and sell their goods. If youre looking for an upscale food court uptown, then you might enjoy it, but dont take your dog - he wont be allowed inside. Needless to say, I didnt find what I was looking for.

My husband and I visited the 7th Street Public Market a week or so ago during our trip to Charlotte for the Renaissance Faire! We absolutely love this place. Whether youre looking for a beautiful cup of coffee or an ice cold beer or something to fill your belly, this place has got you covered! The atmosphere is really chill and cool with lots of natural light, a perfect place to go for breakfast and soak in the morning vibe! Everyone we talked to that work here was really sweet and told us a lot about Charlotte and cool places we could go on our trip! We cant wait to come back! :)

I love this place. They have so many different food options, so whether youre feeling sushi, a burger, pizza, some excellent coffee - 7th Street Market has you covered. And each of the options are really quite excellent quality too! The only part that can get a little frustrating is when they are super busy and you cant find a seat anywhere. The price of popularity I suppose! When the weather is nice though they have a handful of outdoor tables as well to help with this issue. Overall, I wouldnt let a lack of place to sit deter me from going here.

Especially disapointed with the Meat and Seafood co. We constantly get their emails showing the enormous variety they have, but when you visit them, the selection is very disapointing. They need to distingquish what they have on hand and what needs to be special order. 3 times we visited them to purchase several large lobsters and they did not have any. It is very frustrating to see what they claim to have when you visit their website and what they really have on hand. Very confusing and mismanaged.

Where can you go and eat spinach pasta, get a veggie cleanse, buy candles and have Kombucha and fine espresso all at once?!?! The selections are incredible and the food and drinks are awesome. There are also vendors with unique and fine gifts too! There are lots of options, making it easy for your crew to find something they like. Everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves and I would suggest this stop to anyone in the area!!

Great place if you are trying to avoid chains and eat like the locals do. Its like an incubator for small business in Charlotte from sushi burritos to cheese from all over the world. The community gives you a chance to enjoy your food while meeting new people and figuring out what youre going to have next time. Conveniently locate doff of the 7th street light rail station and College Street in Uptown, its a gem.

This new uptown market is an ideal place to grab some lunch, a coffee, a beer, or do some shopping for fresh, local, organic (and reasonably priced) produce and meat. Everyone at the shops inside are very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere inside is very fun and vibrant. Its literally right next to the 7th street lightrail station, and the new B-cycle program has a kiosk right outside as well.

I love places like this. I do think that it is small but there is a lot of very good vendors here. Cloud 9 bakery is very good, there is a wine place, and local honey and spice place that are also very good. A bar and some local foods a good environment and clean place just wish it was bigger. It is also in walking distance to some restaurants and micro brewery.

This marketplace is awesome for organic foods, healthy foods in general, and locally sourced ingredients. There are a few lunch areas here (e.g., sushi, sandwiches, flatbreads). Theres a coffee shop. And theres a general grocery area with a cold section as well. The people are nice and the foods are awesome. Whenever Im in this area of Uptown, I come by every day!

We live close to 7th Street and its honestly our favorite place in Charlotte. From all the local vendors to Ormans Cheese Shop, Bonzai Fusion, Local Loaf, Hazelnuts Creperie, Not Just Coffee, Pure Pizza, Viva Raw... need I go on?! Always terrific food choices and great people. Probably one of Charlottes best places to get a great meal, snack, drink or coffee

Loved the crepe store, and it had the most reasonable prices. I visited on a connecting flight from Peru so it wasnt what I expected when I read "public market". As I was acclimated to more local type of markets from South America. But after I took in the kind of market this is, I started appreciating that local business are being supported.

Great casual spot for lunch or even a laid back date. Several vendors to choose from serving delicious sandwiches and breakfast items at local loaf, amazing grilled cheeses and quiches at Orrmans to crepes at Hazelnuts. Plus beer, wine by the bottle, and fantastic coffee. I opted for a healthy arugula salad from Pure Pizza.

Great way to support local business. Beer, cheeses, bread, sushi. There is a little bit of everything here. Only giving it 4 stars out of 5 because last couple of times Ive validated with them after getting food and beer there, the validation did not work and ended up having to pay full price for the time I was there.

I just went here for the first time and it was so fun! There are lots of vendors, making it easy for folks in a group to all find something they like. There were a lot of families with little kids, who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Each purveyor really knows their product, too. Will definitely be back!

Ive been coming here weekly for the past year or so. Some individual businesses are fine but the market as a whole is always filthy. The glass has apparently not been cleaned in months and trash is usually abundantly scattered. It should be a nice facility and it would be with minimal effort but its not.
