As a tourist in this beautiful country I came to know and observe products new to me, I asked one of the clerks store if I could take pictures and he said yes; 5 minutes a gentleman Box inappropriate screaming in a tone that carry my backpack into the box came. I neither knew nor saw any sign of a backpack not enter the supermarket but I found an outrageous deal. Shocking customer cashier.

Ive visited Toucan market several times in the past few months, and Im disappointed to see that every time I go in, the customer service is abysmal. I hate writing bad reviews on establishments because I can usually overlook bad things about places, but Im sick and tired of this stores attitude towards its customers. It never fails for me to get a snippy cashier who hates his/her job, or to run into a stocker or cart gopher snip at me because I need to get to something that theyre blocking, or walk to an area that they are occupying. This is the only place in town other than Mountain View Market that has a decent selection on organic food and produce. Its not anywhere near as overpriced as MVM, but I feel like its not even an effort to shop here anymore because everyone is so rude. Ill go back to eating conventionally or start looking for other avenues in the other cities.

I love supporting a local grocer, especially when they sell organics and specialty foods, but the cashiers are so rude that I dont think I can. I presented my new NMSU student ID to the cashier for the 10% discount that is advertised on the storefront only to be questioned about how different it looks from the ones they are used to. She scoffed at it, like I was lying, told the other cashier to look at the "different" ID...and after all that, she didnt even give me the discount! I have been in there several times, only to receive the same service from the same cashier...I dread checking out, so I choose to find another store that hopefully serves or will stock the same items.

Toucan is a convenient store for students at New Mexico State. It can be a bit pricey but you can find locally grown fruits, vegetables and plants. We visit Toucan at least once a week for Arugula and some fresh veggies as well as to pick up a copy of the weekly Bulletin. Toucan has lots of specialty items, such as spices, seasonings, coffee and nuts. It is a great place to pick up a yummy hostess gift. You will find the BEST Tiramisu ever there! An if you look up at the walls you will find art work on display by students from NMSU!

Honestly, this place sucks. I much prefer natural grocers. This place is way over-priced for what you get. Sometimes you can find excellent deals on produce here, but where cant you? Its produce!. Very ubiquitous. 4.69 for soy milk? $5 for a loaf of bread? The same loaf can be bought at NG for more than a dollar less. 2.18 for a can of coconut water. The same can can be bought at NG for 1.69. Decent products at this place, but I sincerely recommend that you try NG before this place.

I shop Toucan when I am looking for a special wine, cheese or cut of meat or fish. You have to be ridiculously stupid or ridiculously rich to shop there for all your grocery needs. Simple staples like orange juice are twice the price here as they are at other family owned or chain grocery stores. However, their quality is definitely a cut above if you want to prepare a memorable meal. Just forget about this place for the everyday stuff.

Yes, you can find cheaper products elsewhere, but this isnt Trader Joes or Sams. These guys try very hard to have a nice selection of products that you dont find elsewhere AND it is convenient. They ALWAYS have staff at the checkout. I never wait. Thats worth a lot. I love their beer and wine selection as well. Their recent 3 for $12 is a bargain as you are getting very decent wine for $4 a bottle. Im glad Toucans is around.

My wife and I shop here when looking for good wines in Las Cruces. Otherwise, the store has very little to offer especially for what you pay for it. Other than the market meats, food tends to be old or spoiled. We bought a bag of sunflower seeds just last weekend that were rancid and gave us food poisoning. The mochi ice cream is always stale. Other typical staples are fresher and less expensive basically anywhere else.

Toucans offers a pretty well balanced selection of groceries with an upscale, health and wellness oriented flare. Expect to find anything you would in a typical grocery store with most options being organic or from small, specialty producers who provide higher-quality offerings than youd find in a typical Walmart. Toucans also has a great wine an spirits selection and the staff are friendly and helpful when you need them.

One Easter, Toucans was the only store for n town that had fresh leg of lamb; consistently, its the only place in the area to purchase FRESH fish. Produce is always fresh, staff always helpful. Selection of cheese, fresh-baked goods, fresh meat....superb. I guess you could say the key word here is FRESH!

Easy to find stuff because it is not big; a bit, and I mean a little bit, over-priced, but it has quality products. You are paying a little more, but the staff is super friendly (I dont use that term often), the store is very clean and organized, produce is fresh, good variety, and Ill be back.

The selection is better than most places around Las Cruces, but the prices without a student discount are not great, and, except for their meat department (which IS great), the customer service is consistently poor.

Highest quality market in town featuring specialty brands, organic produce, Boars Head deli meats and cheeses, premium meat, wide variety of wine and beer, and more. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff.

I used to go there all the time but i kept disappointed by the quality of the vegetables and fruits. They should check out the fruit often. They are often rotten. Good variety but pricey.

Like their 3 for $12 wine deal. Great opportunity to check out new brands. Their produce is usually good. Can get items at Toucan you wont find anywhere else. Staff is always courteous!

Toucan has wonderful food and products! And...going there always makes me happy. The employees and even customers are friendly and pleasant. I buy 90% of our groceries there....

One can buy just enough for a days meals. Just like many European grocers; but better, because the customer can select whatever produce they believe is best.

Although pricey, it has many items, especially gourmet ones, that cant be found elsewhere in town. And, its $3/12 wine selection cant be beat.

They close at 10 oclock which Im Grateful for because Im a late shopper. Their chocolate croissants actually have enough chocolate in them!
