Having used Home Depot rental trucks in the past for moving large furniture, I planned on doing the same when I moved out of my condo last month. I saw that this store had a very low score on google, but thought simply renting a truck wouldnt me an issue...I was wrong. I stood in the tool rental line for roughly 45 minutes before making it to the front of the line. What has been a simple 5 minute process of renting a truck in the past took another 30 minutes at this location, as the truck had been returned without proper paperwork and no manager could be found to address the issue. The truck was in the parking lot, but the system said it was checked out and couldnt be released until it was checked back in. After a comedy of errors which included calling several other home depot locations, it came out that the hapless fellow helping me was the individual that hadnt properly returned the truck. Though I was given a discount of 90 minutes off of the total rental cost, it couldnt make up for the time I lost standing there in line and the frustration of watching people struggle with an error of their own doing.

After calling ahead to make sure they had a string trimmer for rent, I arrived and was told that the trimmers off switch doesnt work. Desperate and after being rudely refused a slight discount, I rented anyways. Since they rented it without any fuel, that was another stop on the way home. Upon using, I quickly realized the idle was broken. After about 5 minutes I realized the string feeder was broken and constantly releasing string. After many attempts, what Little string it came with was completely gone. Complete waste of time. After bringing it back, there was no apology and that I would be refunded my money "Only This Once!" As if he was doing me a favor. This is the first negative review Ive ever written, but hopefully it sheds some light to the next potential H.D. renter.

Horrible experience. Not worth any amount of savings. In the past I have liked Home Depot but they have certainly gone down hill. I paid extra to have a washing machine delivered and installed. One week later, 7 phone calls, and the best I can get from the manager Chris Doughit is, "Wait a few mare days maybe we can get it to you." It is a very old story Mr. Doughit. The farmers race horse died so the man went to the pub. "You all know how fast my horse is, well Today I raffel him off for just one dollar." He sold 500 tickets and when the raffel winner went back to the farm to get the horse, he found the dead horse. Farmer replyed, "Sorry he looks dead, here is your dollar back." And kept the other $499. This is Home Depots new customer service department. Disgusting!

Easy location to get to.......really bad experience however. Went on a weekday night and tried to find two specific items. Help was talking to a friend and couldnt be bothered to give me directions to what Iwas looking for. I found the item eventually but there was no sku on item. Found another clerk to help me with water softener question about the differences between two types of salt. Her answer laughing was "whichever bag you think is prettier you should buy." Terrible and incorrect advice. When checking out, cashier couldnt figure out the price since there was no sku and called and paged department coordinator. No one responded. She had no idea how to price even though I told her the price on the sign. She gave up, we gave up and went to Lowes. Awful experience.

The last few weeks we have spent a lot of time in home depot and have acquired everything from a brand new grill, to a shower door, to a new weed whacker, and more. We have dealt with no less than 5-7 different employees and each time we have received nothing but kind, courteous, and knowledgable service. The manager Chris has been a go-to for us whether for quick questions on the phone or service in the store. Im not sure why so many appear to be having challenging experiences - As we have had the total opposite experience and even drive 10 extra miles to go to this particular Home Depot. So I would recommend just going with an open mind and checking out the store for yourself before jumping to conclusions. We will probably see you there ;).

I am speechless at the downright awful and rude customer service from this store. One of there employees ran a CC over the phone FOUR TIMES for a 1900.00 order which ended up costing us over SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! the employee who made the mistake said he would not apologize though he admitted it was his fault and then went on to tell me how he could care less how much this cost us. Home Depot would not call there processing company to refuse the charge on the batch and we are out 6 grand while having to take action through the bank which takes over a week. Truly an awful place staffed by rude, discourteous and unprofessional people. These clowns will never get another dime of ours.

Terrible service!!!! Went to purchase a tool chest! There were 4 of the one I wanted sitting on the floor put together but I needed one in box so I could unload it when I got home. First off there was no one in the tool department to help.Second I went to customer service and wanted to know if they had one in a box. They informed me that the only one that knew was helping other customers and it would be 10 to 15 minutes before they could assist me. Then when they finally came they told me that they have some in crates but it would be an hour or so before they would have anyone to load it. Wouldnt have gave this store any stars if possible!!!!

At the Asheville, NC store, check your purchase prices on any credit, debit card purchases before you leave. Also, be aware that HD reserves the right to deny any returns. I was told several occasions I could return my left over flooring purchase (14 boxes). Ended up driving to 2 stores including one purchased at, to get denied. Store manager at Asheville, NC also refused to refund the promotional price. I was lead to believe I was paying $0.79 sqft on a promotional HD credit card, and ended up $1.49. Hard lesson learned being too trusting. I will never spend another penny at a Home Depot.

Tried to call to get info on a yard care product. The Garden dept. transferred me to another line, which then transferred me to a different line when I told them what I wanted; this next line then transferrred me again, etc. I was transferred in this manner no less than 6 times, then left on the phone waiting for someone to pick up for over 10 minutes. When someone did finally pick up after this sixth call transfer, they said they didnt have what I needed. "Pass the Buck" and avoid customer service appears to be their motto.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after being on hold long-distance for over fifteen minutes, it seems justified. Several times someone answered only to put me on hold again for the building department. The last time, someone at the pro-desk answered long enough to say, "Please hold." I was put on hold again so quickly, I didnt have time to get one word out. Horrible experience. Guess I wont be making any purchases from this store.
