I have shopped at this store a lot.I spend about $300-$500 a month there because they give a discount to Veterans I have never had a problem until today.I was buying 5 gals of DeckOver that I had mixed and more fencing.It was around $188.00 and I showed them my VA card like always and the cashier grabbed my wallet and pulled out the card and took off with it.He came back and said they cant give me the discount because my card doesnt say service related.This is the same card I show them all the time and never had a problem.I asked for the Manager and she came over and was rude about it and told me this is the policy and has been since April 2015.I told her that I was there last week and there wasnt a problem and I have been there many times since April and no problems.She refused to honor my discount,so I left everything and walked out.They just lost a lot of money because who is going to want the color I had mixed on the DeckOver and I will never spend another penny in HD.I went to L O W E S and they didnt give me any problems.I looked at HD site and they say they Honor all active duty and Veterans with a discount.I guess this store dont care about customers or Veterans.

I was having a problem with a Battery from a tool set my wife got me for Christmas. I. took it back to the store, But since it was a promo for Christmas the clerk said I had to contact the Manufacturer. WELL!!! Then begins the run around! So, after a few days of B.S. I finally called back to the store. A fellow named Phil, an assistant Manager, not only replaced the battery after hearing my grief, He personally drove it to my house 19.7 miles (by Googlle Map) on his own time after his shift ended at 7:00 P.M. That evening. Honor, and Integrity! Qualities not often seen these days. I will drive the extra mile to patronize this store. Its the people who make a business what it is. Thanks again.

I go here all the time for my tools and had my favorite one break while changing a ball joint and after they told me they couldnt do anytHing about replacing my took that was guaranteed for life and I asked to speak to a manager at the customer serVice counter the woman was extremely rude and told me there was notHing she could do and have a nice day Ill drive the little but farther and go Lowes or Sears and if I have to Walmart but I deFinitely wont be back here

So I go to this Home Depot to get a piece of wire shelf cut to size...I cant use the expensive special cutting tool myself, so the girl does it...and cant get the size right...so the older, more experienced guy comes along and cuts it in the wrong place...then tells me I should have just bought it and took it home and "cut the damn thing yourself, with a a hacksaw" Reported him to the manager and walked out...

The Home Depot in newark Ohio has highly qualified employees. They are always cheerful and have a smile on their face. they are very personable. Im there almost every day and I am greeted by everyone. I could shop any where I want and will always choose the Home Depot in Newark Ohio for all my construction needs. If you have any projects that you need advice on, these are the guys you want to talk to. I try to do all my repairs myself. Theyve helped solve countless problems for me from tiling, plumbing, wiring, they can help. Most of the workers are retired and know their stuff. And when someones not sure, theyll find the right co-worker to get the answer. Love this store.

Opens at 5 am so it says....well thats bs...dont open until 7 am...wtf every home dept Ive ever seen opens at 6 am at latest..and as contractor Ive been to plenty this is BS as now my job if on hold until these lazy assess decide to come work...idiots

When calling dont expect them to know what you are looking for. I called in looking to replace a simple door piece and they had no idea what I was talking about. Please when training your employees at least teach them to be respectful over the phone.

Best home improvement store! Much better service than Lowes and they always have a good selection and great prices. Ive been able to compete tons of projects on our home with the insight from their staff. Highly recommend!
