I was a Lewis Lumber Company, Wickes, Leeds, Hope and now ProBuild customer and always went to the same place! Want something special? Or maybe a piece of trim that hasnt been milled since 1965 and they STILL have it in the trim shed. Its a "to the trade" place with a knowledgeable staff that doesnt need to wear matching aprons with smiley faces. During the great building boom of the first part of the last decade, you could still find straight wood there that wasnt split and covered with knots. Fair prices too.

I almost prefer to drive all the way across town to other hardware stores because they specialize in lumber and hardware, not customer service. They sell their stuff, they have their regular customers, and if you come in and theyre w/another customer, they almost never say the basic Ill be w/you in a moment if you need anything. Its a hardware store not a warm fuzzy experience.

Primarily a lumber yard with wide array of building supplies. They can actually MAKE specialized wood trim! Higher rating if they understood the value of CUSTOMER SERVICE.
