Billy and his crew are tops, second to none. I am a fanatic biker, and have been all my life. Being 55 now, I have seen bike shops all over the world (I crossed both north America and Europe by bike). These guys are definitely among the top two bike shops I have ever had the pleasure of using. While they also sell bikes, they are not the least bit pushy, and will sell you something ONLY if they are confident that is the, make that THE, bike for you. I live in Rhinebeck, and still take the drive to Woodstock every time, its just to painful to be stuck with a 4th rate bicycle dude when you can have the best.

I bought a bike there and discovered that some of their employees are thieves. My house was robbed by one of them, the owner sent me to the police across the street to tell them but to my surprise the town sergeant took me outside to hear my story and then threatened my life if I "tell anyone about what his best friend did" Stay away. New Paltz and saugerties have great bike shops

Just moved to town and figured Id buy local. Peter, Wyatt, and Billy could not be friendlier, more knowledgeable, and genuine. I got an entry level Kona Hybrid which I rode around Ashokan all day today. Highly recommended shop, wherever you may roam!

Expensive!!! These folks are steadfastly against any wheeling and dealing when it comes to purchasing a new bike AND seem to find many more problems with your bike during a simple tune-up than necessarily need the attention and $ that they suggest.
