I walked in the door an hour before closing with hopes of building a custom BMX style bike I always wanted since childhood. Some financial changes for the better later in life allowed me to make this purchase. Eager to spend money I was just waiting to be SOLD. I was ignored for about ten minutes as I entered with my two co-workers then had to find someone to talk to. When I expressed interest in building a custom BMX Bike I was told. "That could be a bit too expensive" why dont you just pick something in stock" after a few minutes I was talked into modifying a in stock unit. I was told to come back the following days for the seat wheels/tires and Fork I requested. Thank good I called before making the drive the next day because nothing was ordered. Three days after the seat shows up wrong. I was then told by the "bike builder" the seat I wanted would never be available to me. Still no wheels ordered or tires. No follow up from the teenager who sold me the bike either. Just the bike builder commenting about everything I wanted not being possible and the seat being OEM and NEVER BEING ABLE TO ATTAIN IT. After spending $500 on this bike I cant get the seat I wanted, never got the black wheels with the white walls I wanted, never got the fork they put aside for me installed and to this day not a follow up call. KINDA ruined the experience of trying to re-live my teenage years. So to walk in and basically be told by a teenage I cant afford a bike to be built have the bike builder mutter negative comments under his breath while he stood by and didnt offer any help or knowledge then have the maybe Owner tell me he will make it right as he scratched parts slamming them on the counter was just a horrible experience. PLANET BIKES had a easy sale to a guy who just wanted a custom bike built at any budget and was roped into a stock unit that nothing got changed on as promised. Well done GUYS. I would love to just return the bike and be greated by a friendly staff that wants to educate me on the product and sell me the bike of my dreams. Instead I got Moe Larry and Curly aka a teenage who only works after school a miserable Bike Builder and a the poor old owner. Thanks guys but this place is a train wreck. I wouldnt buy a tire tube from this place.

DONT BUY YOUR FIRST BIKE HERE! I stopped by this bike shop to get proper fitting for a Trek bike. Im more of a Specialized guy, but wanted to see how a new Trek bike would feel. As I walked in and spotted the sales person. Told him straight that I need to get a fitting for a bike, full well knowing my size is 58-60cm depending on model and make. He started walking me over to the road bike rack and bragging how they are in the process of building 6 brand new bikes. After being completely ignored I decided to play possum and ask newbie bike rider questions with round eyes. He wouldnt listen to what I was asking him and told me I need a $1100 bike to even consider starting to ride road bikes. I told him Im no where near that level of parts and frame with my riding expertise. He mumbled about their only $700 bike and how it is not fit for a beginner and wouldnt last me all that long. After that he shifted focus back to $1100 ultegra system and even mentioned a carbon fiber option as an ultimate choice for a beginner. Didnt even do a fitting and told me to come back when I have cash, literally told me that. I was so shocked that I didnt even know what to say. $700 is plenty in terms of beginner bikes there is a huge assortment of lightweight bikes with Shimano Sora, 105 and some party Ultegra components. $1100 is not a starter bike, if its your first road bike chances are you dont even know how to shift properly yet. And dont ever start from carbon bikes, they are stiff as hell and you dont need that kind of control as a newbie. So please, do a little research. DONT BUY YOUR FIRST BIKE HERE!

Did buy three mountain bikes there. Was looking for good quality bikes and found in short of the time what I wanted. Other places sell less equipped bikes for higher prices. Not mention that those guys have catalog and you can order exactly what your desire needs. Help was amazing. Very knowledgable. Explained everything slow and passionately .I live an hour drive from there and if I would need anything else for my bikes, wouldnt go enywere else. They even helped to load bikes in the car. Thank you.

Daughter got chain stuck on first ride out. I knew it was an easy fix but brought it in just in case. Owner popped it into place and sent us on our way without charging us or selling us anything. Talking about people who love what they do (and helping kids with their bikes)!

The staff here is amazing. Extremely helpful! One day they saw me leave my dog in the car and told me to bring him in. They threw a ball in the store for him as I shopped and now they cant wait for us both to come in. Great selection and prices.
