I have recently revisited cycling as an adult. I started riding an old bike in October as a way to build up my knee, and get into shape after arthroscopic surgery. A few weeks ago, I went to Toga in Nyack to buy some appropriate clothing, as I was riding every weekend, and the colder weather is approaching. My experience at Toga was excellent. Greg guided me to choices that met my needs, yet were affordable for the part time rider. The new clothes made a big difference in comfort and stamina; after a couple of weeks, I decided to buy a new bike. I was looking for a hybrid; there were several in stock, and Greg had me try one out- I liked it, but he thought an alternative would fit me better. He ordered one from their West Side Manhattan store for me to test- no pressure, and no strings attached. He suggested that I take them both out for a good ride; I was gone for about 45 minutes. While both bikes were terrific, I selected the Specialized Crosstrail Sport. I felt it was a bit more solid, and offered slightly better gearing for the Rockland County hills. Tony did a great job fitting me, and I was on my way. Greg and Tony are serious about their bikes, and even more serious about making sure their customer leaves with the right bike. This was one of the best purchase experiences Ive had in recent memory. I highly recommend you visit Toga in Nyack. They offer top shelf products and provide exemplary service.

I hit a pothole today on my ride and my bars shifted down about 15-20 degrees making for a very uncomfortable and precarious ride. I ride a full carbon bike, which requires appropriate torque when tightening the components to avoid cracking the carbon if too tight. As I dont carry a torque wrench when I ride, I went looking for the nearest LBS. Toga was the nearest open shop so away I sped. The mechanic checked it out for me, assured me that there was no significant damage and adjusted the bars back to their appropriate height. He re tightened the bolts to the specified torque, all of which took less than seven minutes at best. He told me I was all set, and when I asked what I owed, he told me nothing. I told him I had to pay something and he refused saying, "I didnt do anything. That was nothing." I thanked him profusely. I will ABSOLUTELY return to Toga for any and all of my service and product needs while in the NYC area! Thanks a bunch, Toga!!!! You rock!

Ive shopped at Toga a bunch of times, both spending $$$ on my Bianchi and minimal $ on my kids bikes. One thing that makes me give Toga 5 stars: They dont condescend to dads coming in to buy a cheap bike for their kids. Seriously, this is a big deal: dude from NYC buying a Crabon superbike worth more than my car? Sure, hes gets attention. Tweaker dad wanting a $250 bike? Yes, I got attention, too. I felt like Tony wouldve spent as much time going over component specs and model deets as I wanted. Tony is the man, and he will do you right. When the NYC store failed to send my bike up, he offered to drive the 70 miles before work to make me happy and get the bike himself. Thats legit. (I wont say anything about Adrian at the Gotham store, the guy who "forgot" to get my bike to Nyack.) For sure, Toga in Nyack is pretty awesome.

Bought my bike there a few years ago and have brought it back for a few tweaks now and then. Always helped in a few minutes and no charge since I bought it there. Recently dropped it off for a complete overhaul. Charlie did a great job and did it quickly since he knew I was doing a triathlon the following weekend. Bike never shifted better and the creaking in the bottom bracket disappeared. Just bought my wife and son a bike there and as usual there was no strong sell from Tony. He made sure that all our ideas were covered and that we would be happy with the bikes. We were. Definitely the place to go if you want to feel that they want your business

I call this place the equivalent of a highway auto dealership. They want the sales, but do not back it up with appropriate customer service. Everything "felt like a chore". You are taking their time. Too busy to service a customer is what I found here. Overrated bike shop. It was bound to happen to them though. The store operates locations in Manhattan, and it doesnt take long until the lack of customer service in NYC errodes their local Nyack business. Shop elsewhere. Anyone shop can sell you a good bicycle. Its service afterwards that marks the difference between average and stellar.

Went in with my friend and Tony was super helpful. She lives on Long Island and none of the shops had the bike she was looking for in her size. They had it (for a better price) and even let her test drive it. While she was doing that, I happened to be checking out the road bikes and Tony saw me. He offered to let me test ride a super nice Cannondale carbon Di2 road bike off site. I rode up and down a nearby hill and loved it. I nearly walked out with the bike. Despite it being my first time in the shop, Id highly recommend them. Ill definitely be going back to get a roady from them.

Dont waste your time going this place! Now they are under new management for 1 year and their service is just horrible! . This is Why, PB Bike (Piermont, NY) Took 3 days to get the parts to fix the bike Free adjustment on groupset & adding pedal as service Charge $6 for tube Tech onsite weekday 9W Bike (Nyack, NY) Took 2 weeks Charged $10 for simple pedal adding Charge $16 for tube Tech part-time overall worst experience i EVER had Feel free to go there if you are loaded with $$$ to get rip off with slow service. They will gladly provide the service for you.

People are fast to write reviews when the dont like places because? But this place is awesome. I brought my bike there because my bike shop was closed and I wanted to ride. After the mechanic took my bike apart he noticed my derailer hanger was broke. They did not have the part! They located the part for me and got it in the next morning. The mechanic put the bike together faster than I can get dressed..these guys are awsome. thx

Awesome staff. Very helpful and patient, understanding and just all around great to chat with. New to road bikes, 6 friends recommended this store and the staff to me and i was not disappointed. Look forward to an ongoing relationship with the company and the people.

I was surprised at the lack of interest in repair, sales (of course) is their main goal. Brought my old bike in for repairs, and was extremely disappointed with them. Never go there again. Might be good for tune ups on a new bike, but honestly I dont trust them.

This place is amazing. I was looking for P clamps for my bike rack and they not only had it, they gave them to me! I went to so many stores to find them. Friendliest service, and they answered all my questions and were so patient.

Toga has always treated me right. I have been a loyal customer for 12 years.. They service both my commuter bike and the one I use for an occasional triathlon. Never, ever had a problem with this store....Love the staff
