It took me 2 hours of searching to find this shop. The owner(an arrogant little guy) was standing outside of the door, saw me riding towards the shop and right as I got to the door walked inside without holding the door open for me. I get in the shop and tell them my handlebars are loose and if I could just borrow an alen wrench to tighten it. There was no "yes" or "sure", just the guy saying "$2". Another guy at the shop eyed up my bike(its a custom BMX bike) and started going into detail about every part I had and said that an allan key wont work for my bike and I instead need to use a start wrench. The owner without hesitating says "$5". In the end I ended up just buying my own tool from them for $20 + the $5 the owner charged me as labor even though I had bought the tool and tightened it myself. Im never going back here again and Ive told everyone I know not to go there either. Also I heard that this guy sells drugs from his own store!

i have been to this shop a couple of times and both times they were rude and unfriendly. i walked in and said hello to a shorter guy(i think hes the owner) and the guy just looks at me and walks away. i told them i need my brakes to be tightened and asked if i could do it myself. he told me to wait a minute. 10-15 minutes later i asked again and he said "just hold on" in a rude tone so i just walked out. that guy needs an attitude adjustment. will NEVER go back to this joke of a bike shop.

A note to Ben per your comment below: I checked your review history and notice you have NOTHING GOOD to say about anyone or anything. Your attempt to discredit a business that has been around for years is unfounded. Its my understanding from the precinct you called to complain about your so called stolen bike, is the same prercint you complained about. Records show that you have no bill of sale or proof that the bike is your property. Best advice to: Wake up on the right side of the bed.

The guys at this shop are pretty knowledgeable and have helped me fix some problems on my single speed that exceeded either my tool collection or expertise. Careful though, the are pretty good at getting you to agree to repairs that could be done on your own and they will charge a pretty penny for it (e.g. $25 to mount crankarms). The merchandise is also a bit overpriced. Bottom line: good if youre in the neighborhood, but dont come across town to go here.

I went in to buy a small pump. I returned having had a small problem with it looking for assistance and the guy made me feel like a moron for not following his instructions properly. All he had to do was take 2 minutes to help me figure it out but that was too much for him apparently and he walked to the back of the store and ignored me. I will go out of the neighborhood for all my bike necessities and repairs from now on. I urge you to do the same.

ILLEGAL OPERATION!! this place buys stolen bikes and resells it. i got my bike stolen 4-15-2011, came in 4-17-2011 and saw my bike was there! the ticket said it was brought in for a tune up 4-16-2011. the shop owner was very defensive when i told him that the bike in his shop was my bike and that it was stolen 2 nights before. AVOID this place! the owner seems have have junkies sell him stolen bikes!!!

Very professional and reasonably priced. Last time I brought my bike in they fixed a problem at no extra charge that another shop had tried to convince me would cost $150. Unpretentious and no nonsense local bike shop. Theyre honest and they know bikes. For what its worth, in the two times Ive been there, I havent noticed any lack of personal warmth in the proprietor or staff.

The owner is actually a really nice guy, even if he doesnt always show it. I could definitely see him being mean to people who are aggravating to him. Both times I brought my bike in for a tune-up, he gave me a discount and one time, he even said I could pay him back next time I was there, because I didnt have enough money on me. He does good work too.

Stopped here after my pedal fell off during my morning commute. Tony met me at the door and had the pedal back on in no time (the right way). Will definitely come back, and regret that I didnt buy my bike here. If you need a repair or advice this is your place. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Customer loyalty is clearly important.

I went to the shop for the first time last Saturday and the service was wonderful. The owner is a great guy and he took time out to go over the merchandise with me and even installed my pedals and lights free of charge. I bought a few more items, but to be honest, it was the service that lead me to purchase more than I had intended.

This is a great place for bike repair, service and advice. The owner doesnt try to sell you parts that you dont need, in fact will tell you in some cases that you can get parts elswhere cheaper! Very honest and will do small repairs while you wait. Im a repeat customer and will highly reccomend this bike shop.

there is a sexist guy that runs that shop. I was in with My girlfriend looking for a bike and, i asked if he could help with a bike for my girlfriend. He looked at her and said yeah... hey we got some pink ones over here for you and laughed to himself. On top of that he was very shmarmy, and short tempered.

I avoid this place as much as possible but sometimes I need a friggin tube. Is it too hard to be nice to folks? Its just bikes. Yall should read these reviews and treat people with a little humility and respect.

I have used this bike shop for over 10 years for advice, repairs and ultimately to buy a bike. Tony is honest, authentic and hardworking -- a gift to the neighborhood. Everyone I know has had similar experience.

a typical shop you would find your standard upgrades for your bike and advices from pro mechanics. Check them out. I just had my Beamrack installed from them after they told me which one to get. Amazing. =]

This is a terrific store, knowledgeable about bikes, any after paying two other shops to repair the chain "skipping," , with the problem unresolved, it was fixed here and quickly.

Went in for a tire patch on my rear wheel, left only to realize they did not reconnect my back brakes... I will never go back. Not professional. I couldve hurt myself very badly.
