He did a bad job of installing my disc brakes. He literally secured the cables with zip ties! It looks pretty bad. After a tune up, my brakes were still loose and my gears still skipped, so he definitely didnt go the extra mile. Then they sold me a bad tube that wouldnt keep air. When I returned the SAME day with it flat, he didnt find any punctures and said I broke the valve with my hand pump, but I hadnt even touched the valve. So I had to buy a second tube, and that was the last time I went to Kissena Bicycle Center. The air isnt free anymore, either. But in their favor, they are quite friendly. If youre in the neighborhood and need a quick fix, might not be a bad stop. He seems like a McGyver with bikes. I wouldnt recommend him for serious repairs or maintenance, though, especially not on nice bikes.

This is the bike shop my family keeps returning to even though its a little inconvenient to get to for us. The service is pretty reasonably price for a city shop ($10 to change flat, and theyll do it in 10 minutes), and they do it on the spot. I never had any trouble with their work. While the owner doesnt speak English that well, I am surprised by other reviews that owner was cold...I never got that impression from them. They wont follow you around asking every minute to serve you, but I think a lot of just differences in expectations for Chinese vs. American customers in level of attention wanted. Also, they dont try to talk to you into buying higher priced service/items, which I appreciate.

Considering they are the only professional bike shop in a very densely populated area of bike users they always come through despite the demands. I needed my handle bars very old tape scrapped off and replaced and new tires and tubes (Presta) and a new seat and lights front and rear......also a new cable lock mounted.....all by the next morning..it was 6pm the day before. They came through with flying colors! Everything was done with extra time to spare for my bike ride to Manhattan. Really glad to have them in the neighborhood within walking distance or accessible by several buses. Thanks guys!......-v

I just visited this place two days ago with my 3 year old. We went there to fix her bike that had a wobbly front wheel. It was a 16" kids huffy bike. I was grossly over charged. But I paid the price of $30 because parking was difficult to find and my kid was super excited to ride her bike. I dont recommend this place. I looked at his posted price list and nothing cost $30. Much lower prices were posted for way more extensive work clearly he was ripping me off but I just wanted to take care of my kid and get the bike thing over with.

I tried to have my bikes shipped here and thought I had it worked out. (Their english wasnt that good.) I paid to have the bikes shipped and they didnt like the boxes and didnt accept them and sent them back. It cost me money and time. To say the least, I wasnt happy with them. I did go back there and they seemed decent. I have the sense that they consider themselves more for the Asian community.

Was welcomed at first. Asked a few questions about a few bikes (specifically a model name). After, they just turned on me, didnt help me at all. I stood there for good four minutes before I walked out. I dont know how their repairs are, but if youre new to biking and trying to buy a bike with some knowledge about the bike youre about to purchase, avoid this place.

they are not useful and only want get money from you. I changed a tire last week, this effect my brake. I go to there, only mention my problem, they ask money for fixing the brake at beginning, even saying it is none of their business. Later they said the bicycle worth nothing, better to change another one. Why not mention it before I paid almost 80 dollars!
HI
hi, hello
Came in for just a simple pedal swap, i brought my own. Charged me just $5 for labor. Quick in-and-out less than 5mins job done. The store is a bit small, decent selection.. Service today is exactly what i needed. I did think twice before going because of those bad reviews, but so far I got what I needed and its all good.

Very good bike shop quick to repair anything bike related and very knowledgable. Prices are good and are open everyday of the week. I recommend them to anyone that needs to get any work done or get a new bike their.

This is the best experience Ive ever had at a bike shop. Very reasonable prices too. Jaj fixed my bike quickly and expertly!! He diagnosed the problem and had the parts I needed. I will go back to him anytime.

I thought my bike was officially retired. These guys fixed it all up; tire repair, brake repair, and anything else that seemed to be wrong with the bike. Low pricing and quick service.

My bike had a flat and this was the only shop for miles. I came in, got it fixed for a reasonable rate, and left 15 min later. Great for quick repairs and tuneups.

Well go 1 thing fix the part to pump air in. Just try pumping air in now its losing air while I try to pump air it. So kinda think they mess up my tire on purpose.

Very bad service. Too... Expensive. Rude shop keeper. Poor English so difficult to communicate. If you say something he says that he doesnt care.

Its kinda only place around here for bike repairs so store keepers are not very committed to help you, you do get basic service

Fast repair, quality work, great prices. One small caveat, Cash Only. But it is still worth it.
