I go to a lot of bike shops, been to bike shops in different countries and cities, and this is the best of the neighborhood bike shops Ive found--ever. They are also, by the way, one of only two (or maybe its one again) shops in Queens certified by Trek to sell and work on the Madone. I do all the basic stuff myself, so mostly I go in for supplies, but when I need a professional repair job, I dont go to a pro shop--havent found one in NYC that I think is particularly good--I take my bikes to Tonys. Also, because Ive been a customer there for a long time, they dont mind when I call up asking for some technical advice. If you need a bike repair done on a high end bike in Queens, this is the place. Its also the best place to order any kind of bike as I found they have the most reasonable prices in New York City--whether its a Tour de France bike or one for a toddler. No slick salesmanship. They wont try to sell you a bike that they just want to get rid of, or push the boundaries of what they could possibly charge you. Tonys is the best place to shop for a bike that not only fits and is what you really have in mind, but one that youre going to be completely happy with. I guess the difference is, the folks here arent ego driven bike racers. They love bikes, but you wont find any yellow jersey wannabes here telling you that you need to shave your legs and weigh your pasta.

A perfectly viable scam. The salespeople are the nicest. They treat you with care, are friendly...and then when they return your bike the original repair is fixed only to have other things broken only to blame it on the age of your bike, you dont remember (really he told me this...repeatedly...I asked him why he kept telling me I dont know what I know :/), things happen... Short deal is: Im sure this place has gotten great reviews from their friends but god forbid you fall into the scam circle I did and have your bike ruined only to have to take it to another shop for more expensive repairs...you know the story

Worst bike shop they dont know what there doing even tho they are really kind a few months ago I past by they told me something was wrong with the crank arms when it was obv. It was the cog and lockring and all they did was put grease and cranks.today I let by to fix my flat cause I was riding in Astoria and I past by there they fixed my flat for $15 cause of labor just to find out when I was near my house when I caught another flat to find out the tube was 700 18-23 when my tire was 38

Went in to get my front and rear deraileur adjusted. The price was more than fair, everyone in the store was extremely friendly and they did a perfect job. Would recommend to anyone needing quality bike work done. EDIT: Went back for a tune up a few months later and they completely skipped adjusting my deraileur, even though i asked them to pay special attention to it. They corrected their mistake for free but I was not happy that I had to come back in.

The guys are always friendly, with the exception of the older man with the beard. I think hes just grumpy or theres a language barrier. Super helpful when it came to selecting a bike and the needed gear, and I come back to them for tune ups and basic and complex maintenance. On my way there shortly to get my wheel respoked. If youre a Transit Alternatives member they offer an 8% discount on most items and services

Wonderful people and great prices! Everyone here is super nice, answers any questions you have, and will never sell you more than you need. I once came in to buy replacement lights, and while looking at a pricier option, they pointed out a more economical one that would work for me if I only needed to be seen and not to see. For a good repair or tune-up and people you can trust, bring your bike here!

One of the best bike shops, correction the best bike shop, I have bought 6 bikes from them and every time the experience was perfect. they have good price prices and excellent service They also offer a gratuitous 2 year free basic tune-up my whole family gets bikes and services from there and i encourage others to do so as well - Vasilios Zaimis

This should be a 40 year ago comment. Bough my first sons, first bike here. A 20 inch bright yellow with a banana seat and high rise handle bars. I think it was called the stingray. Great place then. Glad to see someone from the old neighborhood is still doing OK. God bless you . . .

I went at Tonys Bicycles for repairs on a used bike I just bought; front brake, one missing screw on the fender and the handle that was loose. All the repairs were done for a very reasonable price: <$20, I am very satisfied. I would recommend to a friend.

Buyers beware!! All sales are final. No return policy. The guys at the shop wouldnt even consider extraordinary circumstances for returning my bike. Although I have bought it less than two weeks ago. Such a shame...

A Neighborhood Gem! Awesome people, quick work, Tune-ups and full repair available. It can be a bit crazy during the summer on weekends so be patient.
