I traded in some old stuff I had and they gave me more than I expected and more than most other places would take, mostly Xbox and 360 games. I read the other reviews and can understand why some people might not like then again most people that come here to review either had a really bad time or really good time. Most of the times that I had a problem at the store could be filed under "stuff happens". I preordered things and they would sometimes come a day or two late. Rather than be angry I just talk with them for awhile and come back later. They were always courteous and would make sure that I knew exactly why it wasnt there. When one game I ordered simply would not come in they offered my money back. Truthfully I go there to buy games and trade in not just for business but because I enjoy it. I dont quite agree with the low average rating that this place has been given, I encourage people who use this to post their experience even if they didnt find it to be the best or worst video game store theyve been to.

Ive been going to this store since around their opening in Scotia. Ive never had a single problem with this store, its employees, locations, customer service, prices, anything. My first time there, I bought an original Playstation with the longbox Resident Evil game, and I believe the owner gave me a deal my first time ever in this store without even knowing me. The owners became very good friends of mine through me becoming a repeat customer, inviting me to Halloween parties, local restaurants, etc. and actually, when I was without a job, was offered a part time position, which I still hold today and the owners are EASILY the nicest, most forgiving, easy going bosses Ive ever had in my life, and I plan to keep this job for quite some time. I dont believe many of these reviews are accurate at all, so I wouldnt particularly buy into them. Ive known the owners for about two years now, and theres no way I can picture them being rude or providing disappointing customer service.

This is a small business in the capital region worth giving your business to. The owners Joe and Emily are two of the nicest people you could ever deal with. Ive been exclusively using PTL as my video game store since they opened their first shop in Scotia. I personally believe in supporting small businesses in your area because theyre the ones who will give back to the community and the personal relationships you make are well above and beyond what youd find in any chain or box store. Ive seen a couple of poor reviews on here by people... I guess you cant please everybody but if you give Pastime Legends a chance you wont be disappointed.

My experience is horrible.I bought a game at this store and it was the sims for playstation 2.When i got home and put it in the consol it did not work at all!I wasted my helpless little allowance money!!!Im in 8th grade and my teacher is telling us to write a letter of complaint. So if they read this and they get a letter from a girl named Tiera perment please read it because it is important i get a good grade. And if i send my letter of complaint then i would like to be redressed or please reply back or send something nice in the mail anything for me to have a good grade and get back what i deserve Thankyou for your time of day!:)

Just awful No regard for their customers at all, and I found a store in the mall that pays double what they were willing to give me in cash for some very rare SNES games. Prices are the same as Gamestop so there is never a reason to go there. They offered me $35 cash (Trade in game) for Snatcher on Sega CD which she told me she was "only going to resell for $169.99". They tried to rip me off, and guaranteed that they will do it to you. Very disappointed in this place as a local business, but what do expect from a store surrounded by bars, and doesnt even have a parking lot. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

Ive been shopping at Past Time Legends since the opening of their Lark Street branch and Ive never experienced anything similar to the things said in the other reviews. Everyone in the shop is always polite and helpful, Ive never experienced rudeness or heard a member of the staff act rudely towards another customer. The shops prices are fair and, based on my positive experiences there so far, they would be my first stop if I decided to trade anything in- though I havent had the need to do so yet.

I love that within walking distance there is a locally owned, awesome video game store. The staff there is always helpful and willing to answer questions. I bought a PS2 game from them once and the disc didnt work, I brought it back with the receipt and I walked out with a new copy within a minute. I find their selection pretty good and their prices affordable. Never tried to trade stuff in though.

Store credit for an unplayed game less than 24 hours after purchase, with receipt. Really? Funny, didnt see that on the website where they do advertise a "seven day satisfaction guarantee". Service well worthy of a used car dealer, but a lousy one. Hope they enjoy my money since its the last they will ever see.

Love the store i buy most of all my games and consoles and some movies from here.. And Plus if any game doesnt work i just take it back for a other one. I would have put 5 stars but sometimes they dont have the games am looking for but thats ok because most of the time they have exactly what i want..

Had a bad experience with Jay st then found pastime legands. Its now the only place I go for the classic games I play. Everyone is super helpful and will go out of their way to help get you the games you have been looking for. And unlike Jay st there is a return policy.

Excellent prices and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The best trade-in value Ive ever seen: $40 dollars in the first 30 days after release. Massive stock of classic games. If youre a gamer in the Albany area, this is a place you need to go.

Overall its an OK store to go to. When your in the store the staff is very friendly. However I have called on more than one occasion for a price check and have been LIED to and treated very rudely. Store needs staff change or pep talk with employees.

Every single time Ive been here Ive received great service, the staff have been knowledgable, and the store has had exactly what I was looking for. This is by far the best place to get used video games in the area.

One of the best used video game stores around. Great prices, good selection, and a fair trade in policy. Add in a friendly and knowledgeable staff to make it a great experience visiting Pastime Legends.

Ive been going to Pastime Legends since it was just a shop in Scotia. The owners are great people and can track down just about any game or system if you ask. This is my favorite store of the three.
