Great selection, great employees, great environment. And to the person complaining about getting $1 for 20 PS2 sports games, how many people are flocking through the door to play Madden 04 or something? They buy things on speculation, and when it comes to old sports games there IS no speculation; people dont buy them, plain and simple. So when they give you $1, thats because they will probably NEVER sell those games because unlike a classic such as Dark Cloud, Okami, or any of the GTAs, sports games do not age well at all. Youre lucky they would take them at all. Anyway, Pastime is the best local store in the capital region to buy and sell new and classic video games.

I sell 46 ps3 games n a Nes a SNES old games etc they gave very little but worked w me so I said OK I will this time k I get some games for nephew one didnt work freezing I bring it back I get charged a restocking fee k I get a game w credit I had n credit from game I just brought back the game comes to around 30$ I had enough credit more fees from credit I owe them $ Im like wow OK hmm the guys really nice about it so I say OK whatever go home give my nephew game come to find out GameStop n Walmart etc sell it new for 11.88 wow good luck I paid 30+ used n the games they gave me so little for they were selling them for 20$ to 30$ but gave me 1$ or less wow

I tried to trade in games but could not because they didnt have a scanner (for NYS ID) and have been waiting for one for over a week. Guy at the counter was kind of snippy about it and referred to some small, poorly written, block paragraph sign on the front door explaining this issue. He then handed me a post-it note to write down my info so he could contact me when they finally got a working scanner. Um, no thanks. Your business relies on trade-ins, go to Staples and get one, theyre less than 100 dollars. Ill still peruse their used selection from time to time, but Ill go elsewhere to sell and trade my games.

I didnt go in the place I called it because I had a ps2 game I was going to trade in and gamestop in Brunswick says (we dont tak these games ask pastime legends. Pastime legends says you need the original case with the game! What ps2 are old games that bull crap. Its called be thankful your getting a donation from people who are kind enough to do it. I would not trade games at this place atall. very displeased >:(

Great staff, been back again and again. Very knowledgeable. My only complaint is its hard to get out of there because of the great conversations that happen with both employees and other customers. For the most part the prices are very fair compared to what you would find online. Plus if something doesnt work their return/exchange policy is unbeatable, so thats something you dont get buying a game on ebay or something.

I have been to the Albany store before. I just had a chance to visit Troy and drop in. Very helpful staff member was able to answer my questions about items. I really liked the selection. Prices are about in line with most retro game stores. You might pay a bit more maybe than online, but its good for the community to shop at these stores. I think many of us remember game stores before GameStop.

Previously bought a gameboy advanced sp from here that stopped charging after about a month. I thought it might have been the charger and ordered a new one, but the problem persisted. I granted them a chance of redemption when trading in games here recently, but they tried giving me $1.10 for about twenty sports-related ps2 games…… thats all I have to say.

OKAY. Theyre pretty awesome. I recently found out about them and went to their Troy location. Small, dark, BUT EXCELLENT SELECTION OF GAMES. Then I liked them on facebook; every time I ask a question, they are SO nice and SO awesome. LOVE them! So much better than Jay St and Mr Dealz, who dont care about their customers.

Although this store focuses on old games, they do sell new games as well. Since most of the games they sell are used, you can get them for really, really low prices (I got Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for $3 a piece here once).

You cant find a better video game store/chain in the area! A lot of friendly folks who are always very helpful and very kind. They have a fantastic selection of games/movies and other great items! Cant be recommended enough! A++++

Well it seems like every time i go they r closed. I have been 3 times in past 2 montgs closed everytime. I wanna support local businesses but uts hard when your always closed. Stop making me get ripped off at game stop!!!!

Huge collection of classic games and consoles...most still in mint conditon. New generation games selection is not as big as other video games stores.Low prices and best return policy Ive seen. Worth checking out.

Ive both sold and bought games from this store and never had an issues. Ive also participated in their weekly Melee tournaments and believe they are well run and organized.
