I made an appointment in advance, but when I went there, I was told that I had not made. They agreed to give my dog bath services, told me "It would take a little bit longer". It normally needs 45mins to 1 hour to finish. About one and half hours late, I called when the dog would be servered. I was told:"When we are done, we will call you". I knew that, but wanted to get an estimate time because I lived in 30 mins away, not easy to drive back and forth. The lady refused to give any estimate time, just said "It would be a little bit longer, and I will call you when it is done". I asked:"another hour?", "no", "two hours?", "no", "three hours?", she refused to say anymore. If they had told me that they would need more than three hours, I would not have dropped my dog there. But they told me " A little bit longer", misled me and wasted my time. I asked to talk to manager, who just repeated what the lady said. I went back to pick up my dog without the service after two hours passed because I couldnt wait for another three hours or even longer time.

To the management and other buyers I have been a fish keeper for more than 20yrs and when I want to buy a fish which I like for my aquarium and for my need ,In the name of "making fishes get the right homes" they ask too many silly questions and they dont sell fishes unless their criteria of what ever is met. But I see oscars and other fishes dyeing and dead in the tank -If these people care so mush for a 2$ fish why they die in their tanks and why soo many fishes are sick in their display tank. I always have bad experience with them. In the name of welfare of pets they are chasing the customers They are not doing any conservation programe " they have fishes to sell -then why not sell them- these are not exotic fishes either -so why make so much noise . If a customer loves his pet defanitely he will take care and we dont need these people teaching us. you are selling fishes for money and not any undangered species so act accordingly.

I agree with previous reviewer "Joshua"-- do not waste your time trying to buy fish from this store, or you will be sorely disappointed. They will refuse to sell you fish if you cant demonstrate that your aquarium meets their standards. Whats worse is that the staff know very little about fish-- so theyll refuse to sell you fish based on their misinformed on fish compatibility. While I understand the desire to make sure fish make it to a good home, they should at least hire knowledgeable staff instead of letting them hazard a guess and insist that theyre right.

Amanda the manager was very unprofessional today when I visited the store. 8.14.2016 she told me if I wanted to purchase a 3 inch koi fish. I would have to purchase a 75 gallon tank so I replied back saying that the tank you have all your koi fish in is only 90 gallons, with atleast 5 fish. She still refused to sell me the fish. I usually have a good experience at pet stores but this is the first time I met Amanda. Even if I wanted to buy the fish to feed it to my pirahna I dont understand why it is her choice if I get to.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! I brought my goldendoodle here a number of times and was never informed he was a "problem" until I called to make another appointment. The person told me there were notes (that had no date marked on them) that my dog was "fidgety" and might need "relaxing medication" from the vet in order for them to give him a bath..... I was never informed about this previously and am very confused on this information.. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My wife and I wanted to use the self service wash for our dog. When we called we were told that we did not need any information or an appointment to do so. When we arrived, however, we were told that we needed to provide rabies certificate and needed to schedule an appointment. This was a huge inconvenience seeing as we drove out of our way to find a petco with self service wash facilities. They need to get their act together and make sure all staff know store policies

Kyle store manager worse manager ever guys please its me request dont buy anything from here if something goes wrong they dont care and then they treat you Horrible this is my personal experience. One of my aquarium pump went bad started killing fishes and came to talk them but guess what store manager was so rude he was not even ready to listen I was not there to get my money back I was trying to find solution for it. It was the Worse customer experience ever in my life.

This place is horrible! The GROOMERS diagnosed my dog with an ear infection off the simple fact that she would not allow allow them to touch her face. I recently took my dog to the VETERINARIAN and she was determined to be healthy! I am convinced that they did not want to accept my dog for her scheduled 3:00pm appointment because they wanted to leave early. If you love your pet, DO NOT bring them here.

Okay for the average shopping experience. We come here often. Not very clean, but its a pet shop and that is to be expected. However, do not buy fish from here. The customer associates in the aquatic department do not pay attention to when customers need help and focus on customers with questions instead of those who are interested in buying fish.

I have been buying fish, fish supplies, cat food and supplies, and small animal supplies from the Piscataway NJ store for 5 years now. The staff in the fish department are friendly, though maybe a little inattentive. They have special ordered fish and plants for me and I have been very happy with them.
