I took my miniature schnauzer puppy to have a bath and the pads of his feet trimmed... the groomer was told specifically not to cut ANY hair on the dog except to bathe, brush out, and trim the under pads of his feet. He was groomed a month ago at this salon and his coat was in excellent condition...I remained in the store and happened to pass by when this groomer was cutting the hair off his legs. When we immediately put a stop to the cut...she said sorry...."SHE thought he would look better that way. We are optimistic about his legs since they require a special cut and show rules are extremely stringent regarding leg and beard condition.....the store manager could not have been more apologetic or tried harder to show us that she was also extremely upset and did not charge us for the grooming as well as offered us a small store credit in order to make the best of a very bad situation. I cannot in my best conscience not make other people aware of this.....we have had him bathed before by the salon manager who was FABULOUS..had an excellent way with our dog and was knowledgeable and we were more than pleased. But unfortunately the groomer who groomed my dog yesterday did not understand my simple extremely explicit instructions or as she told us chose to ignore them and did what she wanted to do . If you want your dog to be groomed per your instructions or have breed specific grooming needs be sure to ask if your instructions are understood and be carefully specific as to what you want done....Most if not all but one are professionals at this salon. and I would highly recommend them. But caution to the wind our instructions were not followed or even considered by one groomer. I have contacted the corporate office as this isnt just a "bad haircut" complaint. Its about listening to the owner and being able to follow instructions. I will post another comment on the feedback I receive from them.

Had my shitzu groomed the appointment took 3 1/2 hours and I had to call them to see if he was done, my receipt said it was 3 hours so was my dog sitting in a cage for a half hour barking, forgotten about, I spend alot of money there on food and grooming, I think Im about done with this store

I tried to buy a goldfish and some lady with pink hair said that "it would die" I guess she didnt believe in my parenting abilities, and now I had to settle for a betta fish which she recommended and was a lot more expensive.

They had what I was looking for, but management was slow to assist on registers when the only register open had a line. This is normally not a problem at Petsmart stores.
