If you look at some of the reviews, you can tell this place has hit rock bottom in the past two years!! must be a change of staff or management!! this is the worst place we have ever been too in the petsmart chain. Normally they are a great store with great customer service, this is not the case at this store. It does not even get a one star from me, but i have to put something to move it on. Today, saturday 6th August 2016, we got to the till to be met by the most unpleasant assistant working in the store. she was rude and unpleasant from the moment we got to her till. I complained that she was being rude and it was not called for, i asked to speak to her manager, she put a call out, two managers came over and after both heard i wanted to make a complaint about the rude check out assistant, one of them jumped onto the next till to help bring the queue down, which was good. The on-duty manager did not know how to handle my complaint and just stuck up for the rude staff member, i was not having any of it and told him that it was not good enough and that from the moment we arrived, the twisted up and bitter look expression that greated us was rude enough, but we put up with it, until she began talking to us in a rude manner. When i was telling the manager what was wrong, the other manager began shouting across from the other till saying that i shouldnt be talking about her workers in that way?!?! i was blown away by the rudeness of the staff at this place and the incompetence of both managers to address a customers complaint. It was like they did not understand what i was saying to them, like i was talking over their heads?!?!? This is probably one of the least busy stores in this companies chain, there is never more than a handful of people that ever shop here, im shocked its still open, but i can understand why people would rather shop for pet supplies at the big Walmart or other pet suppliers locally than go in here! Rude staff are going to be the death of this unit. Do not risk shopping here!

I cant recommend training your dog in every PetSmart, but this store has 2 really talented trainers. Stephanie and Lynn have helped me train 3 of my dogs, and Ive taken every level they offer from puppy to advanced. Ive also trained with a dozen other trainers in group and private classes, and these two are both every bit as good as the most exclusive trainer. In addition, you cant beat the challenge of the PetSmart environment for training. Theres plenty of distraction every day with the aisles of tasty treats, stacks of every known kibble, and racks of tempting toys. On the weekends, there are vendors with samples, cats and dogs for adoption, and droves of shoppers with kids and puppies. If you can negotiate all this without your pooch getting distracted, you can go anywhere. Last but not least, I found PetSmart to be very flexible in making up classes or even moving to another store in the middle of a course. There are less options for advanced and intermediate classes, but on the beginner or puppy level, they are running multiple classes a week, so its possible to ask the trainer if you can make up a class on another night. The first time I tried a class there, I was honestly surprised at the number of small advantages they had over a local independent trainers classes.

We took our very shaggy airedale/welsh terrier mix there yesterday for grooming and the poor thing came back with the most hideously short haircut - he doesnt even look like the same dog! We have been there before several times but they could not locate our pets grooming history. We asked that he be left some length on his legs, tail and head with just his body clipped tight and he was completely shorn and looks a bit ridiculous. Our kids laughed when they saw him. Fortunately hair grows but we wont be going back here for grooming. We also asked that they cut his nails which they were unable to do but still charged us for the full pamper add-on. If you are looking for a specific type of cut for a breed, I do not recommend.

Last year about my dog to get a groomed. They ended up cutting too low so my dog started bleeder but and then I found it on my dog had ear infections. so they only finish my dog halfway and my doctor told me not to bring her in until the infections goes away. a month later I called them to explain the situation And the lady who answered phone accused me of taking to advantage. I got really angry bc that never my intention and if they need more money I would mind paying the difference. I promise I will never use their groomer again. Everytime dog needs grooming I go the petsmart in Hamilton. Today I called to give other chance bc Princeton is more convenient for me. And the staff are still rude.

I regularly used the grooming services of a PetSmart in another state before moving to NJ and was very pleased. However, while the groomers here were very polite they DID NOT do what I asked! This is the second time they have not followed my requests & I will not be back. I foolishly thought it was a fluke the first time. My dog came back looking patchy, uneven, and was cut far shorter than what I requested. They did their best to even out the uneven patches however the only solution was to keep going shorter and shorter and shorter!

Had my dog groomed this past weekend and he came out smelling exactly how he went in. His fur and breath stunk so bad, I went in and said something and they all just said well we gave him a bath before we cut his hair and continued doing what they were doing. Absolutely ridiculous! Now I see why Hamilton was completely booked, never had this issue there. Never again, and I paid for the Top Dog treatment, no bandanna or anything was given, horrible service!

I dont know too much about the groom part but I do know the store customer service is excellent keep up the good work PetSmart theres never a stupid question I bought my tarantula from there and he is still alive because of the habitat they told me to set up Thank You Petsmart

Pet Smart is the best and especially because of Loretta who grooms my cat Alex. I dont ever want to lose her. Ive had other groomers but no one like Loretta. And I get discounts on their grooming which I love.

I needed a new filter for my turtle tank. The associate in the fish dept, although they didnt have what I wanted, he helped me find something as an alternative. He was very polite and helpful.
