Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! We were using the Shop From Home service and it was a fiasco every single week. We would call in and complain about the bad food, wrong items and missing items and always ended up speaking with Toni (manager). Good God, this is a woman who shouldnt be dealing with customers! Shes so rude and disrespectful. She treated us like we were the problem. Hated us because we use coupons... Every week it was like this until we finally found an awesome shopper. She shopped our order every single week for a little less than a year and we never had any problems! She was absolutely amazing! She picked the produce, meat and dairy as I would and packed our bags carefully so that raw meat wasnt with produce and yogurts werent getting punctured. She didnt mind scanning all our coupons and always did it with a smile. So what do these managers do when they have an employee that does an outstanding job, they move her to another department.... SMH We made a huge stink. We called the department manager Rodson and store manager (Jack) 3 times and neither ever called us back... We sent an email to corporate and then finally Rodson called us back. He said that he would speak with Jack the next morning and call us back... Surprise, Surprise no call back... When we called again, we were told that our shopper would not be transferred back. We spend an average of $200/week there every single week for years and they dont give a crap if they upset us enough to the point of us never shopping there again... This store needs new management! Unbelievable & very disappointing... Shame on you!

Its a nice grocery store very large with a variety of certain products. I used to go to the Union and Springfield location but became frustrated with parking and the selections were limited... like they would run out of an item and NEVER restock. When I asked if an item would be coming in, theyd tell me ie. Wednesday... come in on Wednesday by the end of day( to give them time)... no item! However they ALL share one common problem... the staff! I get it.. theyre mostly young people getting paid very little... but the ATTITUDES, the profanity right in front of the customers.. like they dont give a s*%t! For the amount of money I spend weekly $200+... I dont want to hear f this and f that. and " n word" this and motherf#*%er that... and Im black!!! Theres no professionalism and they ALL complain mostly about the customers, because they DONT want to be there and DONT care! If you have a big order... they complain, if you ask a question... they complain! Nobody wants to do their job, but hang around gossiping... and get paid to do just that! Unfortunately this isnt going to change and as long as my husband and I need to eat... we have to shop. I thought Livingston would be different.... but NOPE!

I love this ShopRite! Looks small from the outside (and the parking lot can be a challenge), but its a great store. Bright lighting and nothing in the aisles to make navigating difficult. Except for one grumpy man stocking the freezer section, staff are helpful and friendly. They used to have a coffee bar where you could get macchiatos for $2, but now they just serve coffee and tea...for the same price, so thats not cool. I could live without the "market" set up of the produce section...it makes finding what you are looking for difficult. However, every store seems to be doing that now. All in all a great shopping experience.

hmnm, I actually drive for 20 mins to come shop here. if you guys rate it under 4 stars, then what gets good rating ? although lets think strategically, if we rate it poorly, there will be less people shopping there and thus less @#%$ will block isiles with their carts, allowing me to have a more pleasant shopping experience... Seriously the place is crowded, sometimes you have to wait to park the car. Also, instead of putting a left turn light to drive into shop-right parking lot, they use the local police force to navigate traffic on the weekends.

Almost all of the same features as the Shop Rite in neighboring West Orange but more expansive and more selection. There are specialty areas and a full service kosher counter with an expanded kosher aisle (similar to West Orange). Parking can be more cramped here and the entrance is onto a heavily trafficked roadway that is often administered by town police but you need to be careful driving (or walking) in the parking lot.

had a terrible experience with one of the cashiers when switching one product for another product of equal value....they told me just to go grab it i went and got it and went to leave then she accused me of stealing this is after i had already given her the product i was exchanging and she told me to just go grab it......thats making a long story short theres a bit more to it but it made me very angry

Horrible, horrible, horrible cashiers. These new people that they hired always are upset. One cashier got really mad because I went near closing time to pick up some goods. She started slamming bottles of soda on purpose and roughing up my vegetables. Another time a cashier was unresponsive and wouldnt help pack my groceries until I asked her to. She too started mishandling and slamming my groceries.

The Shoprite of Livingston is a great store that has the Village Food Garden restaurant which is only at two other stores which includes this one. Theres very few to dislike about this store other than small selection and valet parking. I do not do my grocery shopping at any Shoprite store. My main grocery store is Stop & Shop but I like having lunch or dinner here.

This is a great store thats more than a regular supermarket. Its a store within a store as the bakery has really fresh food like a standalone bakery. The produce is very fresh and they have a great sandwich shop. I absolutely lovet he soups - I love love the Boston Clam Chowder and the store personnel are all very friendly. Great shop, highly recommend the place.

The Livingston bakery dept did a fabulous job creating a graduation cake. They used the Livingston HS colors, sparkly sugar granules and included a graduation cap, diploma, the year, and even a plastic stack of books all for $5 extra. The cake itself, chocolate mousse between layers of white and chocolate cake was very fresh and tasty.

I really like this stores internal set up, cleanliness and meat selections - the on site butchers do a great job. The seafood is hit or miss - I usually only buy Salmon or Shrimp from this store. The parking lot is a disaster on how it is set up - always insane trying to navigate. Overall, great store.

Bought Turkey from Shoprite livingston,nj and paid to oven cook Turkey for Thanksgiving. The Turkey was totally uncooked and had to be returned to Shoprite. It spoiled our Thanksgiving dinner and was a huge disappointment for my family. Thank you Shoprite for ruining our TG dinner!!

Has a lot of good food options that most ShopRites dont, especially when it comes to on-the-go foods (eg. sandwiches, sushi, several hot bars, a salad bar). Has a nut dispenser, which most area ShopRites dont. Also has some of the rudest, most inconsiderate patrons Ive ever seen!
