Horrible customer service!!!! I came back to the store first for a return and repurchase on a roll of fabric in which I overestimated the amount I needed and didnt end up using most of it. I wanted to return the amount I didnt use, seeing it was over 11 yards, and just pay for the amount that I did use. When I was told I couldnt do a return on cut fabric, I was fine with that and asked for an adjustment on the roll instead. I was assured by the cashier at the time of purchase that this wouldnt be an issue, even if I had used some. However, when I did finally have the time to come back for it, all of a sudden there was one. The manager on duty, Christine, seemed the least bit interested in her job or customer relations, as she rolled her eyes at me frequently as I explained my situation. She said that she "doesnt have the authority" to do anything, their return policy only has a week limit for adjustments, and said that I would need to come back tomorrow morning to talk to the store manager. When I told her that I dont have the time, and that nowhere in the store or receipt does it state this mysterious "7 day price adjustment policy," she just looked at me blankly and said this time "our system wont allow it." Um....ok, so your system doesnt let you do returns or purchases? Because thats all a price adjustment is. Gotcha. Being a loyal customer to Jo-Ann, after this experience Im taking my business elsewhere. Smart move to lose hundreds of dollars on future sales with a loyal customer over $30 adjustment. REAL smart

Kind of the place I have to go to now that Rag Shop closed its stores. Its a decent place for fabrics, but the service could really be better. Most employees act like they barely acknowledge your presence. Theres also a confusing arrangement where theres another vendor doing business inside the store. Heaven forbid if you should be unaware of this bizarre arrangement and take something from that vendor to the register. I did that once and was snappishly told that I had to go pay that vendor. Maybe they should move that vendor to the corner of the store and set up better partitions? Because it was just confusing with that vendors embroidery threads set up right where the rest of the stores threads are.

Two major bad points: 1. Place is so messy. Specially fabrics.. They are all over the place.. 2. Rude staff !! They dont value their regular customers. Even if there was no wear and tear, the staff argued me so much to return few fabrics.. He was so rude that I finally gave up returning them !! The Joann company has a return policy with and without receipts, but the staff was not willing to take them back of his own choice. He was arguing over how much money I am loosing behind this and why did you buy things which you wanted to return and bla bla bla !!! I will not go to the store again. I will not even recommend it !!!

I made my last visit to this store. In the past I have found the staff rude and not very helpful, but this last incident put me over the fence. I was looking for a very specific fabric, and called ahead to make sure they had it. I had to repeat the description several times and finally the girl said she checked with someone else and they did indeed have it. So I drive 1/2 hour out of my way and lo and behold...no fabric, and no one on the staff fessed up to the phone call. One manager checked online and couldnt find it in any store, the other manager just snapped at me and walked away. Never again.

For an craft store of this size, this store does not live up to any great expectations that one might have. Convenience is the one good thing that can be said about the store. The pattern sales are good, providing that they have the patterns in stock. The jewelry is getting better but leaves a lot to be desired. The one good attribute about Joanns is the fabric selection. The sales on fabrics for home decor are usually the best. But because the competition is slim right now, Joanns remains.

Good place, good sales, and good staff! LOCATION is OFF on Google Maps. Jo-ANN Fabrics and Crafts is in the strip mall at the corner of Rt.27/Lincoln Highway and Prospect Street in Colonia. Entering "1 Prospect St, Colonia 07067" in to any GPS will take you right to the entrance to the stores parking lot. Google Maps is about a half mile off target showing the Jo-ANN icon incorrectly by the Rt.27 and Chain Of Hills Road overpass. This review site shows the accurate location.

HORRIBLE customer service and high prices! There were employees everywhere but it was so hard to get help even though I asked multiple people multiple times. The cashier himself didnt know what the price match policy was even though there was a giant sign hanging over his head advertising it, and was super rude. The prices were 2 to 3x more expensive than what you would find at Michaels. This Jo-Anns is the Kmart of craft stores. Except its really expensive.

I usually come to this location for muslin and thats it. First, the store is always messy and lacks flow. Its like a maze just to get from the cutting table to the register. There are usually long lines once you get up there as there always seems to be only one or two people on register. This store seems to be the location that the corporate headquarters forgot, it could use a renovation and improved lighting.

Perfectly fine but the store was better before it was renovated. Nothing really to look forward to now and everythin gis just harder to find and they have a single register which makes 0 sense used to they had a lot more. and the cutting table used to never have a line or tickets unlike now They made a change clearly not for the better But at least the workers are really kind.

I dont go out for fabric often. Most of the time I use my online wholesaler, but when I get a rush custom order, this is where I come. The staff is always fantastic & today as I was presenting my coupons, the check woman even had an additional coupon to add to my order providing an additional savings.. .cant ask for more

Cant say make the same complaint about employees as others, the ladies over here were very helpful & we could find the fabric here after spending almost half a day at other store in this area. Then comes the cost which was lesser than we expected. Alos loved the little decor items in first 2 or 3 aisles

Im at Joanns all the time, mainly because there arent really any other fabric stores to choose from. Still, it gets the job done. A little expensive, but they have lots of coupons. They are always very pleasant, even when I have to buy 40 yards of fabric in 2-yard increments for my students.

I love the Colonia store. They are always so helpful and friendly. If you are going to a Jo-Ann Fabrics choose this one. Also they are not just about fabrics anymore with a huge selection of different craft options and great online purchase store pickup options.
