What troubles me about Seacoast HD is the time it takes to get a service appointment if you dont belong to the Priority Maintenance Plan as evidenced, at least by my me, of the length of time it takes to to get an appointment. Last month I called to get a service appointment to have a technician look at my sound system on my bike as I was having problems with FM reception. I was told that someone would call me back to talk to me about my issue and schedule an appointment. A few hours later I received a call back and was told that it would be about a month before I could get an appointment. Due to a scheduling conflict, I had to cancel a week before the date. During the phone call, the "service tech" told me that when I do came in, he would set me up with a test ride on a 2014/2015 bike so see if I wanted to buy a new one. I laughed it off and said I just wanted to have my sound system checked out but I thought it was wholly inappropriate to hit up a service customer to buy a new bike through a service call, but I kept it to myself. Now this past weekend, after returning home from Laconia Bike Week, I observed that I had an oil leak and called on Monday, June 22 to ask for an appointment and was told once again, that someone would call me back within the hour, but alas, no one did. I called the next morning to ask for an appointment to have my bike looked at as I perceived that an oil leak was something not to ignore. Again, I was told that someone would get back to me but I told them that was the mantra last night when I called. He said someone would call me back as soon as possible. Within the house, I did receive a phone call. When I told the "tech" of my issue, he said it would not be until mid July before I could get an appointment. Now, I dont know a lot about bikes, but my common sense tells me an oil leak is not a trivial matter. The tech commented that the mid July appointment was the first available appointment so I took it as there was nothing else I could do. But after this phone call and remembering the first call for a service appointment relating to my sound system it hit me: I did not join when offered to become a member of the Priority Maintenance Plan so most likely all those who dont belong to the plan are placed at the bottom of the priority plan unless they paid over $2,000 to get into the service department. Its my speculation here, but could it be that the delay in setting any appointment for me was to determine if I was a member of the plan? Certainly, the tech did not disclose that to me that to get an appointment sooner that a month out was the issue, but it sure does look that way. And after reading what the plan provides, it does look that way to me. So what does all mean: if I am correct in my experience of getting a service appointment at Seacoast HD, one needs to pony up $2,000 to get an appointment at this dealership that is not a month away. If so, that is appalling store policy and places those of us who cannot afford to pay out that kind of money to get an appointment at a huge disadvantage.

Very disappointed with this dealership. I was met with the usual salesman coming back with a number on a piece of paper with squares. This tactic is meant to confuse the customer. I told the salesman we are just starting to look and starting the research process. Your then told the sales manager would like to meet you "introduce himself" before you leave. This is the sending in the reinforcements part of the process. So as a customer I dont want to be rude and listen to what the gentleman has to say. This is were the paper with all the numbers is showed again to the customer, but this time numbers are crossed out, figures are circled, and you then get the what price are you looking to spend question. Thats always an easy question, the answer is the cheapest you can offer me. Moving on, once trade in value is established then next you need to know your financing terms. This is your APR as well as length of the term minus your trade. Make sure to ALWAYS ask about hidden fees like freight charge ($1,499) and documentation fee ($399). Lastly, at this point the dealership has made it a point not to tell you what they are charging you for the bike itself (the second part of the transaction). The reason is this "deal" they pitched/tried to pressure you with is not a deal at all and once you get home and do the math yourself you then realize that you would have paid over RRP. In the end I told the salesperson I know it was out of his control, but accountability needs to fall on someone and in my option its the sales manager. Im so glad that I left the first day and asked the right questions after I had time to look online to do some homework. Bottom line was for kicks, I used a loan calculator online (which are available on numerous sites) entered in the APR, terms, down payment (aka trade in value), and hidden fees. The last part you STILL havent received is the price of the bike. So for reference, I entered RRP of the bike (found on the Harley site,) I was shocked to find out that this dealership was actually trying to sell me a bike $25 more a month than RRP (in this case a $1,800 extra profit for the dealership). So in the end, make sure you are a educated consumer and make sure you do your homework and always ask as many questions as possible. Math always trumps everything in the end. Sorry for the long rant, but I just wanted to let folks know to be careful and aware of these sales pitches when shopping here or you will be the one taken on the ride (no pun indented).

My 2016 Softail Deluxe Harley-Davidson purchase from Seacoast Harley-Davidson was one of the best, exciting, most pleasant purchasing experiences of my life, and I have been alive for quite some time. I had been working and communicating with my salesperson, Jonathan H., since June of 2015. He has been friendly, patient, knowledgeable, informative, communicative, extremely competent, and truly interested in my personal preferences when it came to choosing my Harley-Davidson. The tour of the facility introduced me to many of the other great folks that I would be dealing with in support of my total Harley ownership experience. Everyone there is great to talk to and work with, from parts, accessories, motor-clothes, service, to finance and sales. My MSF rider course was phenomenal (especially the instructors, Glenn and Chuck), and the man in charge of the MSF course setup and availability, Greg S. was great too. The people at Seacoast Harley-Davidson truly know their stuff, and it soon becomes extremely obvious when doing business with them...it really shines through! I would recommend Seacoast Harley to everyone and anyone who is even thinking about owning a motorcycle. Great job Seacoast!

I took the New Riders Course a few weeks ago and could not have asked for better instructors. I began the class not having a clue what I was doing but after four days I was feeling confident and couldnt wait to start riding. My husband and I stopped by Seacoast last weekend and had NO intention of buying a new bike. We both fell in love with the Heritage Softail that Ragnar showed us and then Ed offered us a deal that we just couldnt refuse. Needless to say, we bought a new bike. I took her home two days ago and already have 100 miles on it! The entire experience at the dealership was TOP NOTCH. From signing up for class, getting expert instructors, to working with a well educated salesman (Ragnar) , plus Ed and Ryan and the awesome finance team and then Terry and the girls who were SUPER helpful in deciding which helmet to buy. They were all awesome! And although I havent used the service department yet, I know that experience will be great just by looking at the sparkling clean bays and talking to the knowledgeable staff. Its true that once you buy a Harley you become part of a new family. We are looking forward to seeing you all out on the rode. Ride safe!
