Ok, before I go too deep into this review, I want to emphasize that Im writing about the service and sales departments. The parts department is actually pretty wonderful (Cindy and Billy have been more than great). Now onto the review... Lets start off with sales. I know these guys are trying to make a penny, but the markup price (even on used bikes) is just ridiculous. They say that they pay higher than market price so they have to sell higher than market price...a business model that just doesnt make sense...Another excuse they use is that they do their own Honda Certified inspection to make sure everything works, a service that "the other guy" doesnt offer. After I go through the service review, youll see why this "Honda Certified" inspection is basically worthless. If you cant afford their high prices, they bring in their Finance department (who also makes money if you finance through them) and offer you the "lowest rate possible". I suggest shopping around for financing, because theirs is definitely NOT the lowest rate possible. I ended up going through AAA since I have membership and am paying at about half the rate. Ultimately, I did not purchase my first bike from them for these reasons and Im not regretting the decision. Now for service. The service guys are nice (Don, Bob, Carrie). I just dont know what sort of operation is going on over there. Im going to break up this story into 3 parts to make it more readable. I had the $75 service inspection which recommended a new front tire, new front brake pads, and new chain/sprocket. Which totaled to around $500 in labor and another $500 in parts. I like customizing my bike, so I asked if it was ok to order specific parts through their parts department and got the go ahead. Apparently, because of this, they decided not to honor their 15% off ($300 or more) service promotion, which didnt make sense since I was ordering the parts through THEIR parts department, so theyre making the money anyways...Anyways, after the parts arrived, my bike sat in the shop for another 3-4 days before they decided to start on the work. I get a call saying that my bike is ready for pickup. Excited about finally getting my bike, I ignore the fact that they jipped me 15% off $500 and go pickup my bike. I get there, pay and am about to take off and the bike doesnt start. Seriously?!? I wouldve thought starting the bike would be inspection point number 1. I guess not. The sales guys outside see me unable to start the bike and tell me that I shouldve bought a bike from them...-_- Thanks. Disappointed, I leave the bike there overnight. They call me again the next day and say that the battery is dead. Frustrated, I told them to just put in a new battery (at $150). I finally pick up my bike and ride it home. Half-way home, the FI and HESD lights come on. Another failure on a proper inspection...I called and was told to bring it back in to see what codes were being thrown. I dropped off the bike last Monday. Eight days have passed and still no update. I call in only to hear that they havent gotten to my bike yet...Ive only seen a max of 4 bikes there at a time. Even if I was last in line, and they fixed one bike a day (which doesnt seem unreasonable), they shouldve already gotten to mine...Overall, again Ill say that the service guys are polite and nice, but Im still unhappy with the way things are run and how they try to squeeze every penny they can out of you with a slower than average turn-around time. If you can do your own work on your bike, I suggest that you do.

I inquired about a beginner 250 cbr and ninja 300 ONLINE (left out my phone number on purpose bc I prefer email) to see if I could get a lower price with an all cash offer. Some guy from sales named Frank emails me back with an email subject: "??" . The body of the message was almost verbatim "Im Frank at parkway cycle, (his phone number), call me,". Very unprofessional first impression, but I figure Ill call anyway. I ask for Frank. When he gets on the phone, the tone of his voice made me feel like he was a snake trying to rip me off immediately. Like a con artist tone of voice? It matched the rude tones of the email for sure. Whatever. I continue to ask if they were willing to sell either bike, originally ~$2700 for $2,000 all cash. He gives me the run around that he has to bring me in and ask his manager, and to see if we can "work something out". Eventually he says he has to check w/ his boss but for now just assume its a yes to the deal. I hesitantly say ok. Immediately he responds w/ "So when are you coming in?" In a very used car salesman/ slimy salesperson way. (no offense if hes actually a nice guy. Full offense if he is a dirtbag) I feel put on the spot, saying I have to see if my friend is free to help me inspect it. He keeps saying "thats fine, when are you coming in??". Badgering. I say Ill come in when Im comfortable. I emailed him back because I didnt feel like I got a solid answer, to clarify the cash deal included dealer fees/paper work etc. Making it clear I didnt want to come in unless he got an answer from his boss. I said I wanted a yes/no answer. (note, I formatted my email in a very polite and professional way) He replies to the email several hours later with a simple "no." I appreciated that he gave the yes/no answer but felt it was still rude the way it was delivered with no greeting or salutations. Didnt even walk into the building and already Im put off by that place. Hard Pass.

Dunno what everyones problem with these guys is. If you met a jerk this morning, you met a jerk. If you meet jerks all day, maybe YOURE the jerk. I bought an 84 Nighthawk. Needed a new mirror and an inspection. First 2 shops I went to (closer to my house) didnt have the right mirror for me, and seemed pretty dis-interested in helping me out in the first place (employees staring at a computer screen, monotone voice...) Another customer at the 2nd shop suggested Parkway, and got some dirty looks from the salesmen. As soon as I pulled up I could feel the difference. A barrel-chested man walked out the front door and yelled "Heeey! Hows it going, man?" Thats how I like to be greeted at a shop. Walked inside, and I knew this was the right place. The guys behind the parts counter took a look around and found the perfect mirror to match my bike, and (this is the big one) said "Hey, congrats on the new bike! Youve got a real nice ride there!" and talked to me about the bike. Both prior shops didnt seem to care a bit about my recent acquisition. I was directed to Bob in service, who took care of my inspection and installation of the mirror. In-and-out, 30 minutes. Took some time puttering around the showroom, chatted with the rest of the staff, and left feeling well taken-care-of. Will definitely be back.

They are a joke. First every bike they have on the lot is beat to hell and they are all over priced. Second they need you ID and credit card just to give you a quote so to shut them up I gave them a $500 deposit on a bike so they would talk with me... long story short the bike was way overpriced and I really didnt want anything they had. I only got sucked in buy the salesman telling me they have bikes that are all actually sold. So after buying another bike somewhere else I told them to refund my deposit for the 3rd time. I actually called them that day to ask them to remove the deposit ( three weeks later today I am writing this review without my deposit back ) They tell me I need to come in with the receipt. Really well the wise guys actually never gave me a spli and its only a tactic to get me back into the store. So I tell them I already purchased a bike and have no intentions of coming into the store. They finally they agree to refund my card or so they say. After several calls and e-mails they have no refunded my deposit. And just to note I had no intentions of buying the bike and told the sales guy that... all they wanted was my deposit. So looks like I will just have to sit on hold with BOA to get them to dispute the charge.
