I recentley called cycles 128 about having some work done on my 2005 yahama yfz450 atv. I called and explained to them how there was a fuel problem with the bike and it would need the carburator rebuilt. They told me they could be out that following monday to get the bike and we agreed that was okay, The only reason i was having them come get the bike and do the service work to it is because i currentley have a broken virtebre in my lower back (broken back) and doctors told me to stay off my feet. But anyway, They called me that following thursday 3 days later than expected to come pick up the bike. When there delivery driver got here i took him into my garage and started the bike with him explained to him my problem. and he made me feel good about letting them work on it so i let them take the bike to do the 220$ quoted work. The next morning i receved a call from them saying that my engine was blown and needed the top end replaced and they would need 1500$-2000$ worth of work. I told them i did not want them to do the work and i would get it out of there when i could. They insisted i got the work done and i told them i did not have that kind of money and did not think my engine way blown anyways, they became very rude with me during that phone call. The next day (today) i go down to cycles128 to find my bike sitting outside covered in snow. I did NOT tell them i was coming to get my bike so im assuming they rolled it outside once they realised i wasent going to be paying them for the rebuild they wanted to do. My bike was the ONLY bike sitting outside in the snow at the shop. Once inside i imeadetley called them out on having a blown motor and explained now it did not have a blown motor . They argued and then i was confroted with my bill they had wrote up for me. I asked how the bill could the bill be so high when they didnt do the work i had asked for and blaimed my problems on the motor being blown and they told me they " actoualy did do the work " and made me pay anyways. Now ive got my bike home and the battery was completley dead. After charging it enough to get some power into the bike i tryed to fire up the engine and it does NOT run. I gave them the bike running and even showed the cycles128 delivery driver who came and got the bike from my house that the bike ran before he took it two days before. Now the bike completley does not run and is missing Two fairing plastic bolt in the same exact spot on each side not to mention everysingle bolt they touced is still only hand tight. I basically payed this place 200$ to be in a worse position i was in before, due to the fact the machine ran before they took it and now have to diagnose what they did to make it not run. Never again cycles128, Never again. Thanks for creating such a headache for me as i really appreciate you taking my hard earned money in the holiday season as i have a broken back. I dont see how this place is still in buisness.

well, cycles 128 was a place I really thought that I would be treated well. I was a return customer and over several years had purchased a few motorcycles, service and other merchandise. I made a bad desicion on a trade. I had a harley that was worth about $8500.00 on trade. I was sold a bike that was worh $6000.00 on trade and on top of it they charged me an additionnal $170.00 + the cost of a new battery $100.00 and was told that I would have to pay the $15 for an inspection sticker...hahaha I guess I was the fool on this deal! again, I thought this was a place where I would be taken care of and I trusted john murray my sales guy.... This is how they treat regulars, but it is my own fault for trusting them in the first place.... To add insult to injury. I tried to negotiate the sale of my Harley back within 2 weeks of the trade/ I was willing to take a hit and pay $1600.00 to get my harley back....damn, if they told me $2500 I probably would have done it. They called 2 days later and told me it sold on ebay, then called 4 days later and I was told someone came into the store and left a $6000.00 deposit on it, the same day I saw my harley on there website......Then after all that the salesman calls me back to try and sell me another harley...ouch! I thought by appealing to the owner (which owns hillcrest chevy and a few other dealerships) that, that would be helpful. I was hoping he might I understand that I was a regular customer that bought several cars of hillcrest, my mom bought a few cars there, the place I work buys there vehicles there, but was treated as poorly by the ownership as I was by the lower end sales and buisness managers.... There was never an offer of a solution that was firm,,,it was smoke and mirrors untill they end, WITH A PERSISTANCE OF HOW TO TAKE GREATER ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION. BEWARE DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THESE GUYS! THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT REGULAR LOCAL FOLK, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW THEY TREAT OTHER FOLKS.

TL;DR They took 5 months, didnt fix a simple problem, but still did enough work to it to charge me. They lied to me multiple times. They were very hard to reach, They tried to convince me I should sell them my bike to them for cheap or nothing then when that didnt work they overcharged me by $800. When I finally got my non functioning bike back from them I found they did very poor quality work and made the next mechanic I had work on my bike do more work to correct their mistakes My experience with cycles 128 was so profoundly horrible that I am choosing to write a review. The people who work there are very nice and put a lot of effort into robbing you blind and having you thank them for it. I gave them my 1999 XR250R which was having compression issues the xr is an air cooled single cylinder bike, a very simple machine, I asked them to get it running, the said "ok, but we need a $750 deposit to look at the engine". I said no that is insane, so they obliged and dropped it to a ~$250 deposit. that was O.K. they take it apart and find it needs a new head gasket and new piston rings fine, I give them the money they for that and I expect it back within a month. NOPE! it took them 5 months, and it STILL wasnt starting. I asked why they said they didnt know. I request to take my bike back even if it wasnt running. they say I now owe them $1250. I tell them I dont believe that they put that much money into the bike, so I ask for a full bill of what they did, they provide it. I say that Im taking it to a different mechanic to check their work. THEY THEN RECINDED THE $1250 AND GAVE ME A BILL FOR $450. THEY WERE TRYING TO STEAL $800 FROM ME, OR CONVINCE ME TO SELL MY BIKE TO THEM FOR A QUARTER OF WHAT IT WAS WORTH! So i brought it to a new mechanic, and found that cycles 128 didnt do half the work they said they did, and the work they did do was of incredible poor quality.
