I cant say enough about Owenhouse Cycling. In a town teaming with bike shops, this one stands alone. It all starts with the manager Tom, whos as good as it gets and has become one of my favorite people in Bozeman. You wont get sized up at Owenhouse, instead youll be treated like a welcomed guest from the minute you walk in the door. The people are what makes this place special, from Tom to the techs, this bike shop is a gem. With a stellar selection of Giant (Liv), Rocky Mountain and Ibis, they carry bikes for all riders. Their soft-goods, components, helmet selection and shoes are as extensive as anything in town, and their technicians are just that. Having spent a lot of time in this shop, I can tell you, they take care of you and your bike, and if the work doesnt need to be done, they let you know and save you the money. These guys are legit, honest and eager to help. Brennan (one of their bomber mechanics) is a reflection of the service you come to expect at Owenhouse, kind, informative, patient and exuding a good mojo. Whether youre in the market for a new bike, helmet, shoes, pedals, clothes or a tune up, this is the spot. After years of bouncing around from shop to shop, Im a one shop guy. Thank you Tom and team Owenhouse for creating an environment and providing a service that is unmatched in our community.

I usually enjoy this place, almost all of the staff here are very thorough, honest and kind. There is one guy here that always offers poor service; I believe his name is Justin, hes a bald grungy looking guy that looks like he should be working the graveyard shift at a local gas station. Ive gone into Owenhouse multiple times and avoid Justin like the plague, whenever he does get a question, such as today, when a coworker and I asked him how to remove a gloss finish from carbon fiber, the only thing that he would say is "dont, carbon needs the clear coat for structural integrity", when I explain to him that the manufacturer sells this bike without a clearcoat, he turns his back and refuses to talk to either of us anymore. I understand that most bike-shop employees are smug, but if you cant even service a customer, then maybe you dont belong in customer service.. And this is by no-means an isolated incident, Ive had other bad experiences with him. as have other people that Ive talked to about Owenhouse. Dont get me wrong, this bike shop is a good place for helpful advice and service, but if you see a short bald employee walking around with a unhappy look on his face, look for someone else to help you out.

Summer of 2014 I took my bike in because it seemed like it was skipping links when I peddled. Thought I might need a new chain, maybe more. I took it in for a tune up. Asked about a guestimate of when it might be done, they said 4 days. I called them after 6 days, the guy said itll be another 2 days. I called them 4 days later (a TOTAL TIME of 10 days with no courtesy call). So I came to pick it up on day 11 and surprise surprise they HAD NOT FIXED THE ISSUE. I calmly went up the the guy who charge me and said the problem isnt fixed, he said "its not" I asked if he had ridden it after it was fixed he said "well no." I said so you "fix" bikes and dont test drive them when youre done??? He said well let me take a look. He rode it, tightened a link and it seemed to work after that. I think I was charge $50.00 for nothing!!! I will always bad mouth this facility for their incompetence! The warehouse for buying tools is great but the bike shop seems like it could use an attitude adjustment!

These folks are great. I went in this morning to buy some shoes and the first gentleman said "let me get you Peter. He knows a lot more about the shoes." I really appreciated that he brought over a colleague that knew more. Peter was great. He asked me some questions before he made a recommendation and his recommendation was great. He helped me find some other things I needed, put my cleats on my new shoes and we had a good conversation about biking. Great experience. Thank you, Peter!

What a great group of guys. Was in Bozeman on vacation and needed a rental road bike. They hooked me up with a well maintained Giant Defy. It was a step down from my normal carbon ride, but more than adequate. They took the time to fit the bike and also lent me a mini tool to make final adjustment. Very reasonable price too. Ill be back!

Best service Ive ever had in a bike shop hands down. Stopped by to drop my bike off and have them look at my brakes. They instantly wheeled it around, threw it in the stand, took the brake pads out, cleaned them all up, test rode it and in 5 min sent me on my way. Totally shocked by the great service. Thank you!

I was in town and wanted to rent a bike for the day. I was so happy to find Owenhouse Cycling. They were terrific. The bike rental was very reasonably priced, and the bike was exceptionally nice. Both the shop and staff are top notch! Ill definitely be back the next time Im in Bozeman.
