Jans is amazing! We recently rented ski/snowboard equipment for a week long trip to Park City. There were 5 of us and the staff was so friendly, helpful and patient. They allowed us to switch out equipment numerous times between skis and snowboards. A couple of people in our party went in because our feet were hurting in our ski boots, the staff was so accommodating and nice and gladly helped us find the right boots. The most incredible thing happened after I chose to get a bigger boot but when I got to the slopes I realized they were too big to ski in. The Jans ski shop at Deer Valley called Jans Park Ave. and they brought me a smaller boot to the slopes!!! I was amazed! I highly recommend Jans Park Ave. for ski equipment rental! They had the best prices and give you a break for multi-day rental. I cant say enough good things about the people at Jans!!!

I live in Washington DC area and go mountain biking in Park City every summer. Jans totally rocks. They got everything you could possible need for a mountain biking trip - including some very nice rentals. Two years ago I rented a Santa Cruz 29er and then bought it there. Got fitted - makes a huge difference. All the people in the shop know EXACTLY what theyre doing with tuning up the bikes and they can give you all sorts of ideas about where to ride (theres like 400 miles of trails in Park City so theres a lot to try out!) And finally, love the fact that they carry all sorts of nice brands so I can do some shopping for the homefront. Wish there was one in DC!!!

First of all I rented an bike online and screwed it up by not doing it 24 hours in advance and not selecting the date for the rental. However when I arrived they were more than accommodating. They happened to have the bike I wanted and rented it to me there on the spot. I rented a high end mountain bike so that I could get an idea on how it handled/rode. It was in great shape and mechanically sound and solid. No issues what-so-ever. The only thing they didnt provide was the extra oxygen for my lungs to deal with the altitude change. However they did provide me with details on where to ride and how to get there. I would definitely rent from them again.

Were locals, so we are in Jans at least a couple times a month. There are other decent ski shops and bike shops in town, but the staff at Jans is just more knowledgeable than anywhere else. One of their guys won the Mountain Biking Nationals a few years ago, another won the state chamionship last year, and several of their people are ex-pro or college ski racers, ski instructors and ski patrollers, and the woman who manages the Jans at the base of PCMR is a ski tester for SKI Magazine. I learn something almost every time I go in there, like last week at their ski tuning clinic which was outstanding.

Unfortunate experience with my family. Indifferent attitude by ski rental help - answered almost all questions with "whatever you think", I guess missing the point that we were asking for guidance. Sold my wife on a performance ski package when I was not there. I trusted them to set her up with appropriate gear - she has not skied in years, doesnt know anything about ski equipment and laughed when I asked if she asked for or agreed to a performance package. She said she was just joking with them about pretty colors. Clearly someone who could use professional guidance and instead got up-charged.

Great equipment with an exceptional attitude. My husband and I rented ski and snowboard equipment from Jans on our recent trip to Park City. The staff is not only friendly but also extremely helpful. Jans has a huge selection of gear for both men and women with a number of brands that were new to me. Everyone I interacted went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend them for equipment rentals and gear!

I was going on a Mtn Bike Ride yesterday and had a bad rotor and no brake. I stopped into Jans and took my bike downstairs. They were backed up for a few days, but spent the 20 minutes I needed to save my ride! This is not the first time they have done this for me. I appreciate their experience and concern for a fellow biker. See you in a week or so I am sure!

We went in to Jans to Rent skis. Everyone was so friendly, they took their time and put us in the perfect skiis for the snow conditions. We found the whole ski shop was very professional and they asked a lot of questions about where we ski and conditions we are normally in. Our family had a great time in Park City and we will be coming back for years to come.

Great place to rent! Process was very fast-which was important as twin 4 year olds dont have much patience. They got the fit and equipment right the first time. Great equipment. Kids had a great time! Returns fast and easy-just dumped and ran to catch shuttle to the airport. Cant wait to get back to PC and will be renting from Jans for our kids!

Rented two mountain bikes from them in August 2011. Very friendly and helpful staff. Filled up water bottles for us before we left - then again when we came back to return the bikes. Let our other rider who was not renting a bike, borrow a helmet for free. Enjoyed meeting the dog Blaze whom I assume was part of the team. Highly recommend.

Service is good but expect to pay 25% more than anywhere else. When I raised this with them, they said you pay for the good service and will not price match. So instead of making a sale, they got $0 from me. I bought the same product elsewhere and saved myself $100.

We always rent from Jans, they have great staff and its easy in/out. They are laid back but make sure you are happy. No issues, but the web registration could be upgraded, seems like ver 1.0

This is a truly great store with great service. It reminds me some of High Peaks Cyclery in Lake Placid. Their bike selection isnt huge, but what they have is excellent.
