****************UPDATE 1/16/2016******************************* Contrary to what the owner replied, the manufacturer (Trek) did an outstanding job with support once I engaged them. At that point there were difficulties getting Travis to respond. Trek apologized to me which I can forward the emails to anyone that asks. After my initial comment Travis reached out asking me to remove the comment. I told him I would if he is willing to make things right. I emailed him 2 times without response. I am all about going to and supporting family owned businesses. In the case this business provides sub-par support after the bike has been purchased and uses the "Im a small family owned business" card instead of fixing his attitude. My experience seems to mirror other people when it comes to maintenance or support. The owner made me feel like I was wasting his time with a defect when all he had to do was engage trek for a replacement (which is treks policy) instead of charging me lots of cash to fix a systemic issue. Cost him a life long customer with a family of trek loyal customers. Ive had a horrible experience with two wheel jones mesa in regards to warranty work and their willingness to help. I had an issue with a wheel set which Trek replaced under warranty for being defective. This claim was processed at A1 bike shop in Gilbert which recently closed due to the owner retiring. A few weeks after getting the replacement rims Ive noticed the spokes becoming loose. Very odd so I looked up another trek dealer and found two wheel jones mesa. When I arrived I talked to Travis who was the owner. I explained the situation and he recommended they put lock tight on the spokes. I asked if he could engage trek and he told me "they wont warranty a warranty replacement rim" and the first step would be to try and fix. So he charged me $25 to lock tight the spokes. A week later I noticed a spoke broken on one rim and loose spokes on the other. I took it back to 2 wheel jones and Travis then blamed it on my riding. I told him I never take the bike off concrete (bike is a 29er gary fisher mountain bike). He then suggested I get the spoke replaced ($22). I asked him to contact Trek and he told me he spoke to them and they werent going to do anything. Travis also suggested I replace both tires and tubes ($90). So I did all that work and another week goes by and another spoke breaks. I took it upon myself to contact trek and without any conflict they agreed to replace the wheelsets. Ive asked Trek if two wheel contacted them and they told me they have no records of two wheel jones calling them. So Trek sent a replacement rim and more than a week went buy and I finally get a call saying its done. When I went to pick up my bike they charged $8 labor which should of been covered under warranty or with all the money I dumped into something that should have been replaced from the get go the right thing would of been to wave the $8. Its not the money but the principle. This really proved all Travis cares about is billing the customer. Not on building a long term relationship. Absolutely no empathy for the customer or their situation. This bike shop will nickel and dime you. They do not care about warranty or bike maintenance. Instead they will try to sell you new merchandise. I give Travis credit as he is very knowledgeable and from a sales perspective really good but not a customer centric individual. The girls he has working in the back are also very good but are controlled by Travis. Definitely not the neighborhood bike shop it portrays to be. Places like this force people to buy online which is bad for the cycle community. Youve been warned.

Very poor service. Went in to purchase a 16T cog for an SS conversion and was berated by one of Two Wheels condescending, elitist employees. The employee put all of his effort into belittling me and misinforming me regarding my conversion, how I should go about it (solid axle) and what terrible issues I would be exposed to (some how the pull force would yank my tire off my drops and I would die)... This was all advice that I did not ask for. All I wanted was the 16T cog that I requested. I finally was "allowed" to purchase the cog, but not without a caveat; "I wont take this back if it doesnt work" and he swiped my card. I left the establishment feeling abused and upset that the employee tried hard to make me feel stupid. Bad experience. Take your business elsewhere.

Presale support was great with Travis. He answered my questions clearly and concisely. No pressure, no salesmanship. I drove out of my way to purchase from him in Mesa and his support crew were great. Hed left instructions as to what my wants/needs were and they did everything they needed to for a quick sale and happy customer. No up-selling or add-on mark ups. Post-sale support has also been good as I needed a non-standard part and they are working to get it drop shipped directly to my house. Pre-sale support - Check! Low pressure sale experience - Check! Post-sale support - Check! Solid team and good vibe show that Travis is doing a great job and fostering a good culture in the store. Highly recommended.

Been a customer of TWJ Gilbert for about three years and they always gave 5 -Star service. Unfortunately, TWJ Gilbert is no longer in business. My one experience at the Mesa TWJ shop was unimpressive. Took the bike in for a tuneup because the front derailleur was misaligned and their repair caused the gears to start popping on the rear derailleur. A similar situation had occurred previously and Larry at TWJ Gilbert fixed it with no questions. The tech at the Mesa shop just said, "oh well, the derailleur is old and youre not supposed to push that hard in that gear." My answer is, "oh well, guess Ill find a new bike shop."

I ordered a Trek Shift bike for my wife over a week ago. This seller was supposed to call or leave an email when the bike was ready to pick up. Here it is a day after a week, no call, no email. When I tried to call the store during business hours to find out what happened, no answer. I the tried to call two more times and got a busy signal. After the 5th call they finally answered and told me that the shipment arrived a day later than when the bike was promised, and is still in a box. What type of service do you suppose you would get if you bought a bike from this supplier?

While I have never purchased a bike from TWJ, I have had a couple of bikes serviced there. I have purchased parts and clothing there as well. Every time they have been more than helpful and happy to answer any question I had. When you talk to them, especially the owner Travis, it is quickly apparent that they know and love their business and want everyone to enjoy it as much as they do. Their prices are very comparable with other bike specialty shops in the area. The Saturday morning rides are excellent. I am more than happy to support this shop.

This is a great neighborhood shop that we would love to see stay in business for a very long time. We bought two bikes fro them and not once did we feel pressured by Travis who is the owner. The information we were given was knowledgable and honest. The staff helps you out immediately when you get there and everyone is friendly we have had our bikes serviced and flats fixed and they are quick. We have bought everything else we have needed from here since and will continue to given them our business.
