I built an aquarium for a mouse last week and bought all the supplies for it at Petco. After waiting a week for it to finish drying and the fumes all gone, I was closer to Petsmart today so I go in to look at all the small animals. Off of some advice I had seen given online, I asked if they carried live feeder mice. It was suggested that these are cheaper and could make good first time pets, before buying a more expensive rodent. The associate told me they do not sell them. So I told her I would take one of the fancy mice then. She told me someone would be right with me. I wait 5 minutes, and somebody finally arrives. Kristi, apparently the manager on duty, approached me and asked me to leave. I would not be allowed to make any purchases today. I asked her why, and she tells me because Im going to feed it to a snake. I explained why I had asked for the feeder mice in the first place, but she said that I still couldnt buy anything. So I drove to Petco, got 3 healthier, livelier looking mice than anything you guys had in stock. There was a much larger selection(about 20 to choose from, whereas Petsmart had what looked like only 2 to choose from). And the prices were cheaper as well ($4.49 at Petco, $6.99 at Petsmart). Mice are social creatures and you are actually being cruel keeping the females in cages alone. And I was upset at first, but now Im glad it happened. But I have never been kicked out of anything in my life, and I still am having trouble believing that that is how you treat your customers. The most ridiculous thing to me, is that you sell snakes. But you cant even inquire about live feeder mice without being kicked out of the store. And you also cost me extra time and a gallon of gas to drive out of my way to Petco that day. So I will not step foot in another Petsmart, and I will share my story with my whole family, friends, and any coworkers who care to listen over the next week. I just wanted to let you guys know of my situation, and my frustration with your brand.

I like PetSmart. Join the members programs for savings. Youll pay a little more than the more obscure places for things like pet food because of the convenience and quality of service. Would like to see the inclusion of Banfield pet hospital at this location.

Employees are very friendly towards our dog we bring in from time to time. For Easter they offer a free photo with the Easter Bunny which is cute. They also do other events throughout the year. I also appreciate how there is an adoption day every Saturday!

Folks here are pretty friendly. Went here for flea and tick items, which were oddly hidden in the very back of the store. Kind of hard to find, but we knew theyd have them.
