After a house fire, I sought boarding for my six birds at Varietees. Id never boarded any animals before (with a horse, three dogs, two ducks and six companion birds, it was always easier to get a house sitter) so I had no idea what to expect. From the moment the birds were settled in, the whole Varietees team went out of their way to make it like a home away from home. They helped me outfit the boarding cages with ropes, toys and sleep tents, let me come in before regular store hours, or on Sundays, when they were there caring all the resident and visiting birds, allowed me the use of a tree in the play area for my gang to get "out of cage" time during my visits, helped me modify wing clips to address the reality that it was going to be months before my flock returned to the flight safe bird room at home and introduced me to other store regulars and Gateway Parrot Club members to help me find folks who had similar experiences. The shop is extensive and well designed to allow exploration even with a parrot or two hanging off of the browser, and, for those of us with different abilities, it is wonderfully barrier free! The extended stay allowed me to witness excellent customer service to many shoppers and browsers, knowledgeable and honest guidance (even at the cost of a sale to someone contemplating an "impulse buy" of a bird for a girlfriend) and the gentle but expert handling of birds visiting for grooming. We are lucky to have such a store with its caring team in our area!

Seemed like a cool place to go. Had every possible toy, cage, food and anything else you could need for your bird. BUT as a first time visitor, I had no clue what was for sale and what was a customers personally owned items/birds.... I recieved more guidance from a customer as to where stuff was than an employee (employees scored a zero on helpfulness). Here is my visit as a whole. Walk in, speak to a few people that brought their birds in. Walk around aimlessly for 10 mins with an employee following me, stand at front desk trying to get some attention, walk around aimlessly for 15 mins with an employee following me, watch a guy play with his African grey. Start walking to the door and have an employee finnally ask if they can help.... sigh, you help people as they walk in not as they are walking out frustrated. Wanted a bird, saw tons of birds all owned and none for sale, left frustrated and uncomfortable.

This place is great. We got a bird for our daughter, and visited the store multiple times during this process. Everything from selecting a bird, cage, toys, food, etc. The person that helped us during our first visit was Mandy, and she was fantastic. We asked for her every time we went back to the store. We knew nothing about birds and she took tons of time explaining cages, food, and a whole host of other questions...and never made us feel rushed. Will definitely continue to visit this store for all our bird needs!!

I have been a patron of Varietees for about 7 years. What an AWESOME place!!! The knowledge and compassion they possess about birds is simply fantastic. If you are interested in becoming a bird owner, or you already have a bird and need a place to buy food, etc, or just get advice.. ..THIS IS THE PLACE!! They will bend over backwards to help you anyway they can. I will never be able to thank them enough for all the help ..and friendship...they have given me over the years. They are a blessing in my life.

I take customer service seriously and so do the employees here. Theyre always super helpful with any questions weve had and have some great advice you can trust. The birds they raise here must be spoiled with the huge array of products that they sell. You can find anything you need for your feathered friends without question. Their groomers are very quick and are very gentle with your birds and they offer inexpensive boarding also. Skip Petco and Petsmart and make the drive here. You wont be disappointed.

I am so impressed with this pet store. The customer service is outstanding. They are very knowledgeable about all the birds they have. They also care very much about the birds they sell. They provide a wonderful housing for their birds until they are purchased. They have great merchandise for all your bird needs. If you are a bird lover and need birds or supplies this is THE place to shop!

Got two parrotlets from here. Nice family owned business. Lots of exotic birds, lots of birdtoys. Workers are informative about their species of birds. My kids love coming and holding the birds. Best to go when its not too busy. When it gets crowded the workers become short w you, sometimes ignore you. Still, i rather go here than anywhere else for my bird supplies.

Always the best place to find whatever you need for your avian friend. They have a huge, sprawling sales floor full of bird toys, stands, cages, and foods. They even have a wild bird section. They produce quality hand feed babies and offer great advise. They offer bird boarding at great rates and Nair trims and grooming. They also do DNA testing.

Will like to tell everyone how happy I am of finding a place specialized on birds, their food and their health! The customer service is awesome and you can find so much help from the staff. Very knowledgeable and willing to help all the time. Reasonable prices. Just sad they dont open till 7 pm everyday because of my crazy hours of work.

The ultimate bird shop. Family run business that offers hand fed babies of all sizes. ..Parakeets to Macaws. You can also find a massive inventory of toys supplies food and cages. Also offered are grooming servicrs for nails beak and wings. DNA testing is available too. Everything is very reasonably priced. The service is impeccable

Ive been coming here for years. I had moved to Arizona and thought that all birds stores were like Varietees. Boy oh boy! I never realized that my normal bird store is the Taj Mahal. People come here from States around and now I will make my trek every other year from Arizona for some of my supplies. Thank you Jesse and Tim.

This place is magical. I am new to parrots and they have a patient and knowledgeable staff. Their place is clean and well organized. They have many different birds and they allow you to hold them and interact with them. It is a great place to learn about how to care about birds. The only negative is they close at 5 everyday.

By far the best bird shop around. Took my two cockatoos in there for a wing and beak trim and they were done in under 10 mins. They have amazing prices and are so good with the birds and Ive learned a lot there. Wished I lived closer so we could visit more often.
