We purchased the Hogan Mocha couch and oversized chair, both are recliners. Within the yr we had the recliner no longer work and called service and they said they could mail me the part but we would have to put the part on ourselves or we had to pay, this was supposed to be covered under the 1 yr warranty that comes with the furniture. Got that fixed and not long later of course after the 1 yr mark our furniture starting falling apart, each piece was leaning to one side, the structure was coming apart. We of course had to pay to have it repaired ourselves $20 trip charges and $40 hr prorated service fees. SURPRISE it could not be fixed at our house as it was too in depth so we had the choice of paying them to pick it up and take it to be fixed or we bring it in ourselves. SO we brought it in ourselves because we already had to pay for a trip chrge and prorated fee for that call now we would have to pay$40 hr to bring it in ourselves and have them fix the structure. We did that. Now we are sitting here at the 3 yr mark and the furniture has broken again, wood is falling out of the couch(same one already fixed) and the oversized chair rocks side to side and is unstable and cannot be used, the structure is coming apart and it does not RECLINE any longer either as that is broke again, oh and the back cloth came undone as there is so much tension from the structure giving way that is is pulling the material apart.. We had to put the one couch against the wall because it is falling apart and of course no longer works. We have one spot on one side of the couch you can sit on but you cannot recline as that is broke on that side. SO we are a family of 5 and only one person can sit on the furniture. Called and was told I am responsible to pay to have it fixed AGAIN. How long can you keep rebuilding a couch, pretty soon the cost of them fixing it will pass the cost of what I pd for the furniture. Oh and you cannot get a hold of anyone at the top as I keep getting forwarded on. Owner is no where to be found but the nice gentleman on the phone said he would look into things and see what he can find out and call me back. I am embarrassed for anyone to be in my house because the furniture looks terrible and I certainly cannot tell them to take a seat. Very frustrated as I bought here as I was told it was higher end, come to find out it is basically made of what looks like plywood. One repairman told us he would never get that type of furniture as it is not made solidly and it is an issue. Yet according to Ashley Furniture they have had no issues, they may not have but I googled and found some reviews with the same issues with this brand(not necessarily all bought at Ashley) and pretty much the same time frame as to when they broke. I just want furniture I can sit on. Oh and when I spoke o a lady in customer service this morning she told me that if they came out and said they could not fix it they would replace it. So I called to set up to have it fixed and the gentleman told me that he has no idea why she would say that as my warranty is up and they would not replace it. Glad to see they are all on the same page and way to lead people on.

This review is a mixed bag. We bought not one, but 2 sectional couches from Ashley Furniture in Woodbury, mn. Our sales rep Jon was great. We purchased our first couch in January 2015 and the second in April 2015. After going through the sales process with Jon we agreed to purchase the warranty protection on both couches with the assurance that EVERYTHING was covered. Both couches are fabric material. It just turned one year and our couch is covered with "pilling". When I called to have this covered "as promised " I was told that I need to call customer care. Ok, I call the number and get connected to furniture mart in Souix Falls SD. I explain the situation and the rep advises me to take pictures and email them to him for a supervisor to review and they will call me back with their resolve. I send pictures and get a call back after about 45 minutes. The rep tells me that they will not replace the fabric because it is not covered. 2 things are wrong with this. 1: If it was not covered why did you have me send pictures of the issue? Pilling is pilling, right? 2: Why is everything covered on your warranty packet including the fabric and pilling is apparently not? It is not listed as a damage excluded. Long story short, offering to order new fabric at my expense is far from a reasonable resolve. I had to jump through hoops to get answers and when I do get an answer it is one that requires me to spend additional money. As of right now, I have spent my last penny with this company and its affiliates. I cant remember the last time I wrote a negative review if ever. Very disappointed.

I received great service beginning the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted by Jonathan, who was not only very friendly, but knowledgeable about products. He was patient with answering all of my questions on several different items. He did not rush me, or make me feel like getting a sale was his primary goal. He treated me like a human being and I felt he truly wanted me to get the items that were the best fit for me and my family. After I made my initial furniture selections, I was in need of a mattress, which led to my next AWESOME encounter with Susan. It runs in the family, because she knew her stuff when it came to mattress selection. She helped me understand the difference between the many options available with patience and a true desire for me to obtain the best option in the price range I could afford. Thats not all though. After all items were selected, we began the process for closing out the sale. She went above and beyond to make sure I my purchase was done to my satisfaction. I left feeling like a VIP. I would highly recommend this store because they not only have great products, but they also have great people working there.

I purchased several pieces of furniture 3 years ago, lets say I will not be a returning customer. There were issues with coffee table finish coming off after 3 months and my bed became wobbly because the joints became loose. Hands down the worse was the leather couch ($2000), it was a couch in a barely used family room and considering I live alone, I know it wasnt abused. The wood frame came apart, the bonded leather was peeling and the corners became worn due to the leather over the joints waring due to just frame pressure. This is not a quality couch, it is stapled and glue together which is the cheapest way to make a couch. Customer service is awful, warranties are difficult to use and honestly that quality is very poor. Update: Working with store management, I hope to come back and rave about their customer service and feel that I will be a returning customer. Will update.
