I have used Waconia Farm Supply in both Maple Plain and Waconia. I have bought several tools and house hold goods. I found their prices to be fair and selection vast. I also use them for home propane tank service. When I bought this house, I had no choice to go with them despite the fact I would have rather gone with someone else for propane. They told me they needed to pull my credit to even buy propane. I only wanted to pay as needed, not a credit account or on credit. They said everyone must have a credit check. After some discussion, they told me they would not pull my credit as long as I paid upfront. However later I found they did a hard credit pull anyway. Being Im in real estate and credit is king, un-necessary credit pulls are harmful. A manager did call me and provide a explanation, however no apology. Last, I had Waconia farm supply in Waconia fix my vespa scooter, and sears lawn mower. Their prices fair, time frame meh.. it was ok, the fact they service Vespa - priceless. Im overall impressed with the selection and array of services.

Working with Dean and the boys at Waconia Farm Supply reguarding my new 2012 arctic cat has been a blessing. Im in the customer service business myself and knowing what a challenge it can be at times these guys have stepped up above and beyond what was expected. The problem originated with a part on back for several weeks and I was heading to Michigan to use my new sled but without this part that wasnt going to happen. With all Deans hard work and determination. He found me an aftermarket part, tested it himself on lake waconia before I left to Michigan. If this wasnt enough he gave me a brand new Arctic Cat to take with incase my new sled wasnt going to work out. That is customer service unlike anything Ive ever experienced. After being in retail for nearly a decade, I gotta say, the management here is questionable. I bought a floor model angle grinder due to not having a product In stock, they wouldnt discount it. No biggie, didnt understand the $8 loss to make a customer happy but anyway. I go back to buy a $26 hose for my furnace I was installing, amazon had for $17. I asked the manager if they price matched in which she said, "no"....same one from earlier who wouldnt discount a floor model... how can you expect to be as successful as possible without being price competitive? I guess everything I will buy in the future for my newly purchased foreclosure will not come from here.

Both stores are great. Service guys are fantastic at Waconia,more efficient than Sears when I needed a Craftsman Tractor belt.Too bad garden center closed in MP.Think about opening back up???Glad Waconia is going strong tho as its nice to stay shopping at our local small town store!!!

I had a 15 plus year old Stihl trimmer that I needed a carb, spark plug, and air filter for. I stopped in here, asked for the parts I needed and they had them all on hand! Very helpful service and the parts got my trimmer running like brand new!
