You can purchase whatever you like rather than other schools because most schools dont allow apparel. This university does allow yoy to buy electronics that most university dont allow you purchase on your account. For example I brought Samsung little tablet but it was over priced. The staff did lie about purchasing mugs or calenders, fancy note books which at any schools you can purchase to your account. The book store staff members are just liars when it comes to information. This experience was now which is Fall 2016 and Im a junior transferring from a community college. I was new to this university. It does need carts so you can carry your stuff. The prices are too expensive for books and crappy instructors who are unprofessional. Metropolitan State is horrible university. Through the experience I wont be getting a degree from this inferior institution. I would give it zero when it comes to rating of bookstore and overall university. I am Auggies now and they have a neat store. The store is so spotless clean you can eat off the floor Lol. No dust in the Barnes and Noble Augsburg bookstore. The manager is a sweetheart. You can purchase whatever you want from apparels just not gift cards to your account. If you attend a cheap state school just expect the worse and if you pay private then you will get money worth for it. I love you Augsburg. Thumbs down to no longer being Metrostate student Lol

Ive just started going to this school this semester, and I am so pleased with the decision Ive made. I love this school the teachers are fantastic. The people are great, down to earth, passionate people who are all there to learn and enjoy their time doing so. Everyone is helpful, you just have to ask. I havent had a problem so far, and if I do encounter one, Im sure it wont be something that anyone hasnt encountered somewhere else. Overall, fantastic school. Great learning environment! I recommend to anyone ready to learn and get their education. As for the bookstore, Im in there everyday, got all my supplies from there and they have cheap books for leisure reading, and the staff are great people too.

I graduated from Metro State this past fall (10). Metro state was founded as a way for adults w/ jobs to finish their degree with the reasonable qualifications that a state school provides. It succeeds excellently in this regard. While I wouldnt recommend it as the first choice for an 18 year old graduating high school, its a godsend for those of us who entered the workforce halfway through a degree. The difficulty of classes was comprable to those I had at UW Stout and Milwaukee. The material covered seemed far more relevant to what I was actually doing though. The added bonus of taking classes at night so you can relate your coursework to your 9-5 is invaluable.

The bookstore charges more than they should. You are required to get some books ONLY from the bookstore. They then require you to go in and pick them up OR pay $7.50 for shipping that will arrive in 4-7 days. I am REQUIRED to buy an online code only through the bookstore. This CODE costs $185, AND they NEED to ship me an online code for $7.50. WHY MUST THEY CHARGE SHIPPING FOR SOMETHING THAT COULD BE RELEASED TO ME ONLINE! Money hungry!

I never buy my textbooks from school, so I do not know about their pricing beyond it is mostly more expensive to rent than buy from other sites. However, they do have some great deals in this place. And it is never busy when I visit before class to buy some last minute stuff that I forgot to order with my books.

ive been going here for a year now, and have no problems so far! Everybody is super nice, and people actually care. If people are giving negative comments about teachers being rude, it must be because how they acted in class.... I highly recommend this school to anybody seeking higher education! :)

Had to buy a book for a class and they wouldnt buy it back because they had printed/purchased too many of the same book. So I was out $75 on a book I thought was pretty low quality.
