I decided to get a cheap bike from Amazon because I wasnt sure if triathlon was going to be my thing or not and I didnt want to spend thousands on something I would not stick to. After the first few rides I got a flat tire so I went into The Tri Shop to get an innertube. The next ride I went on the other tire went flat so I took the bike in to have it checked out. I was nervous taking my cheap bike into this nice shop but they treated me like it was any of the bikes they sell there. They were really nice and totally professional. It turned out to be the tape on the inside of the rim that was cheap so they replaced it and straightened the rim that was bent when I got the second flat. It was a totally affordable fix. I have stuck with the riding and made a few upgrades to my bike since. After attempting to install a pair of aero bars and dealing with how loose they were for over 100 miles of riding I decided to take it into The Tri Shop to see what they could do. They once again treated it just like any of the nicer bikes they have and installed a nice pair of aero bars. I am headed back to pick the bike up today but now that I know I am sticking with it I will definitely be purchasing one of the higher-end Felt Bikes that they have in stock in the near future. I will definitely be giving them all of my business because they are really nice, very knowledgeable and take good care of me.

My husband and I were pleased with our whole experience with Tom and Scott. We feel that customer service is one of the most important things, especially in a sport that were still fairly new to. Tom took his time with us, answered every question; and the bike fit was absolutely meticulous. Tom had genuine care in making sure every part of me felt comfortable on the bike. I was very impressed with how when we walked in and Tom had an idea that I wanted to purchase a tri bike, he never pushed anything on me. There was no plug on certain brands, extra gear, anything. Tom thought it would be a better idea to fit me on my old road bike and used that to show the differences of the two bikes and how the riding and fit would be different and ultimately, improved. Scott was a great help too, adding the additional gear to my bike. We left there very happy, impressed and felt we made the right decision coming to the shop and with all the purchases. You can tell they love what they do and have such care about customers. The extra 10% off as Elite Members saved us $300, which was awesome as well. We will gladly drive the hour from our home to purchase items or see them with any questions or concerns about the sport.

I am a totally amateur cyclist and was out for a ride with a friend on Hines Drive and got a flat. I had the foresight to bring a spare tube but no pump. I thought the day was shot but pulled up Google maps and realized this shop was in walking distance. We were greeted by a younger guy and told that he could fix the flat immediately. Huge bonus points. While he was doing that we wandered around the shop and drooled over all the awesome bikes. In about 15 minutes my bike was ready to rock again. The store associate was really pleasant and was able to answer a lot of questions for us. I ended up buying a water bottle cage, water bottle, and a CO2 pump (which he expertly explained how to use). All in all I probably spent less than $50 but I was still treated like I was buying a $5000 bike. Overall I was very happy with my experience and will not hesitate to recommend this shop to family and friends. Great job!

In my estimation this is the best bike store in the metro Detroit area. Ive now purchased two bikes at the Bike and Tri shop and simply could not be happier. Scott and Tom provided me with expert advice and guidance every step of the way, and made sure that both bikes were fit perfectly for my body type and riding style. I am also extremely happy with the level of expertise with which the bikes were set up. It is very obvious that the mechanics at the shop have spent a lot of time turning a wrench. I also appreciate the fact that there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything, and everyone in the shop is happy to just talk triathlon, biking, or whatever. It should also be noted that the Bike and Tri Shop does some wonderful things for the community like hosting a weekly bike ride in the summer. It doesnt hurt that the new store is beautiful.

Rating this shop 5 stars does not do it justice, wish I could give it more. I went in to the shop a few weeks ago and was helped by Tom, one of the owners. He could not have been more great or more helpful. He is very, very knowledgeable about cycling and the bike industry. He happily spent a hour with me talking about different triathlon bikes. And in the end he actually recommended that a bike sold at another shop would better suit my needs. I couldnt believe it. His professional integrity was admirable. I will definitely be back in the shop for other purchases and services. Cant encourage you all enough to do the same. These are great people and deserve our local support.

I went to The Bike and Tri Shop for a bike fitting. I was extremely impressed! They really know their stuff and have been living and working in triathlon and cycling for decades. Ive been training and racing in triathlons and Ironmans for 7 years. This is the best and most experienced shop Ive visited in that entire time. If youre looking for high quality products combined with great insight, feedback, and service, then this is the place to go. Tom Demerly worked with me to carefully adjust my bike fit and get me setup perfectly. I couldnt be happier with the service I received, and I will be coming here for all the help and gear I need in the future!

The Tri Shop is one of the most costumer oriented triathlon gears stores out there. First, they are always willing to help answer your questions, no matter how simple they may be. Secondly, they offer what they call the Just Tri Fit Guarantee, where they will send you two sizes of what you order and you keep the best fitting one and send the other back...FREE! And lastly, they are the nicest guys out there and have shown this time and time again over the past two years that I have bought goods from them. They are always honest about what gear is best for me and not what will make them the most money. This is truly a great shop!!!

Prices are excellent, they did a great job fitting me with the bike. But more importantly ! My store, I was waiting in the water for the Belle Isle Triathlon to start when Scott Parr came up to me, asking how the bike was working & how I was doing, we had a short conversation. Does not seem like a big deal. But I have bought bikes & triathlon gear from several places in Michigan. The difference being that the owners and staff do not seem to recognize you the next week or next event. (has happened more than once) Hope your business continues to operate successfully, A happy customer!
