What an awesome experience weve had! Our refrigerator went out and we needed a needed to replace it and it was not quite in the budget. I was able to find the same refrigerator on pretty much all the major retailers websites for varying prices, Sears was the least expensive matching Home Depots price. So after narrowing it down, I was able to apply a $65 dollar coupon from Sears for appliances. On top of that they rewarded me with $27 to use towards another purchase. I remain very impressed. I bought our lawn mower the next day using the money they gave me and another extraordinary coupon. Kudos to you Sears as a company for using your brand power and I truly hope to see the company make a full comeback. You have earned customers for all of our appliances as well as other major purchases. We feel truly fortunate to have a place to shop that has all the major brands and is a family store as opposed to a home improvement store. On another note, today was the day of delivery. At first, we were given the window of anytime today. Then we were contacted with a two hour window. We were given a courtesy call to let us know they were around 30 minutes from being here. That was really nice. When the gentlemen came to deliver they were genuinely friendly. Derrick was the best delivery person I have worked with, ever! He explained things in detail. He explained the fridge and the warranties on the fridge. The refrigerator came in my door ready to go without any stickers, I didnt have to spend a half hour after they left taking off a bunch of junk. Derrick put more effort into the delivery of our refrigerator than some car salespeople put into a vehicle delivery. I am fairly certain that he works for a subcontractor, I hope that this gets passed along because the customer service was extraordinary and deserves to be rewarded.

Ordered an item to store from their online service which is an experience that creates a lot of conflict. Sears as a store is undoubtedly ran in a way that makes it barely a thriving competitor with a lot of its existing area left looking dated and staff are fairly sparse but much of what this store lacks is well known. What I do want to review is what was done right. As most of us know, most stores offer a direct to store option now for ordering items that arent carried on store shelves however most stores have yet to get this process close to perfection, although the pickup location was a less intuitive process than others the process of pickup is hands down one of the most painless I have experienced. It appears that the store has dedicated personnel for this purpose and it shows as it was prompt and helpful and it allows the customer to launch the exact order before an employee attempts to retrieve it saving time and frustration.

This is the only store Ive ever shopped at that will NOT match their online sales. I found a Craftsman Tool on their website on sale for $89, I printed out the copy only to be able to match the drill when I went to the store. It rang up at $109. I showed them my paper & a sales manager told me they have "crazy" online sales and do NOT match their own online pricing. I would have to order it online and then pick it up at the back of the store. Really???? You would rather lose a sale of $150 than honor your own sale?? ( I had other items too...that I left at the counter)... No thank you....Ill do my business elsewhere....I can see why Sears is doing so poorly......

My daughter received two outfits from sears for her second birthday. They were purchased in a size that was too small for my her so we went in to exchange them for a size larger. These items were gifted to me without any receipt. As I approached the counter to make my exchange I was informed that I couldnt exchange the gift without having a receipt. I find this to be unacceptable. I will no longer be shopping at sears for anything in the future. I could not imagine accidentally purchasing a gift in the wrong size for someone and them being treated as if they stole it when they went in to exchange the exact same item for a different size.

I know the optical center took amazing care of me. I was uninsured and came up with the most horrific eye infection, the doc wanted me to go to a specialist. I explained I had no insurance so for 6 months I traveled between Lincoln park and Westland Sears optical. My vision went from 20/20 to 20/200, he got me back to 20/40, the meds were thousands, he gave me samples, saw him 3 times a week, I was charged once a week, will not state what he charged me, but I will day it was less than a one time cab fare, as I couldnt see at ask to drive. That man is my hero

Everything in our house for 40 years from Sears, every tire, battery for 40 years from this very Sears store. All appliances, electronic and clothing comes from this Sears. My grandparents taught me well. Since 1956 this old time store has pleased 3 generations of shoppers. Still going great, now order many goods online and pick up at store never a problem. Long time Auto Center employees truly know how to take care of the customers. Shout out to Wayne, John and Doug for unequivocally the best auto service ever.

Still shop here sometimes. This store has been here here the 50s. And it looks so sad in this deserted shopping center. Awwww Actually most of my older relatives bought all of their appliances, TVs, etc at this very store back in the day. Sears was the first national store to grant credit to Black people, if I remember right. Though could have been "Monkey" Wards.

Monday july 10th around 6:30pm the women working at the jewelry counter in her 50s with a short brown bob haircut was extremely rude when she was asked about mens watches. Had a bad attitude & was short & snippy when asked questions. Ended up not being interested in any of the jewelry after the bad customer service. Hire friendlier employees.

I like this store I have been going here since I was a little kid. The shopping center it is in is horrible but this review is about Sears not the shopping center. They have everything, clothes, shoes, electronics, jewelry and my two favorites power equipment and tools.

I parked on the opposite side of the store from merchandise pick up. I met the most wonderfully helpful salesperson who made sure I found the pick up area. I wish I had asked her name. My wait time was no more than 3 min. Employees were helpful and courteous!

Extremely professional staff, very courteous and friendly. The place is very up to date with electronically pricing on some items, and employees with iPads. They have many options to pick from in every department, witch make things very convenient.
